I've been enjoying the new update, but I have one question. I had told my war dog to 'stay here' near a river, briefly left to kill some turkeys, returned but was unable to get him to follow me.
I then fast traveled away, and left behind an asterisk representing the dog. When I returned and attempted to look for the dog I could see it was on the companion screen as being north-northeast. However it quickly disappeared, and although looking through my quest log says it should be in the same location it seems I am unable to find it.
Any ideas?

Further research reveals that this is a known bug. I'll just save here and hope an update fixes it.

Shouldn't be too long, every major update carries its bugs around for a while
