(Got some strategy ideas.  Can you hold off on doing a big update until, say, tomorrow morning, so I can write them down properly?)

(Oh, and we might want to see if we can regenerate that shield while we're waiting.)

(Sure! And unfortunately those take a full day to recharge, normally.)

Do we know how to recharge it in a not normal way?

(Maybe this will be helpful: )

Quote from: Level 3 Hardlight Emitter Shields
A high-powered kinetic charging battery system provides the immense energies needed to emit a hardlight shield. This battery is charged by the kinetic motion of the user, and the shield is projected when the AI within detects anything on a hostile trajectory towards the operator. The battery is high-yield, allowing for ten interceptions on a full charge. A reliable defense platform used the Empyre over by those in dangerous lines of work.

So basically we need to shake the crap out of it, like some kind of super vibration.

(Or move around a lot, really really fast)

..annyway, here's the plans.

First up: There are two new entries on the skill list.  "Dreams of Silicon" and "Dreams of Iron."  Might wish to use those or not.

In general, I've got tactics for three different sorts of engagements.

Spoiler: Plan B. (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Plan C. (click to show/hide)

The spaceship was cannibalized to produce the lure for the Plague Lord, and Cephie took the dropship into orbit to avoid it.  Also, we cannot alter our baseline physical form.  Wouldn't doing plan C destroy our shield?  I like Plan A.

((I will note that you've done plan c before when your cohesion dropped.))

In that case, I would vote for either Plan A or Plan C.

(Even if there's no spaceship, we have plenty of vehicles.  It wouldn't be as powerful, but we could still use elements of that.)

I am curious about that.  I wouldn't be opposed to giving it a try.

(Well, we could do it to some degree within A, collecting downed vehicles into shields and integrating small amounts of them.  It wouldn't be as full-throated as 'compress a battleship into our willpower radius' as B would, but we could probably make shields out of highly compressed vehicles and carry/empower their weapons without fully integrating them in the same way as B would.)

(Without a spaceship, B is basically consuming mechanical assets until we're powerful enough to wipe out that interloper.)

(Overall, my vote is for A, but I think Phoebe could quite well die in A.  I suspect that if she were to commit to becoming a mechavore in B or a solid energy being in C, winning would be much easier.  in A she might win, but it seems more doubtful.)

My preference would be for plan C, but only when the Plague Lord realizes that we have no intention of surrendering.  If we lose here, everyone on the planet will die, and the Plague Lord will leave this world to infect others.  I think that we have to do everything we can to win.

(We do have the 'nuke everything' option still open, if it looks like things will go that way.  We might even end up surviving that.  Along with the two new powers.

Still, I can see C, but I've always been much more interested in doing things wrong.  We're supposed to go beyond the world, turn our backs on everything we knew, and give up our life.. who is to say that the right way to save the planet is to lose it even if we win?)

How about A with C as a backup plan if things get too dicey?
