Lastelle stops for a moment as she recognizes the foe in front of her.

"...Jeannette? Didn't expect to see you here tonight, though I suppose I should have realized it when the Runners decided to pick a fight with us. Oh well, nothing doing, nothing personal about this."


Lastelle strikes Jeannette off her pegasus with remarkable cheerfulness, putting some doubt into whether it really is or isn't personal. Oh, it absolutely has nothing to do with the allegations of Jeannette sleeping her way to a Master Seal long before she should have deserved it, no sirree.

"I hope you and Rosa recover in time for that race next month! Wouldn't want it to be anything but fair and square, no? Shame that this cuts into your practice time, but, well, we both know that you were going to spend that time under the referee's desk anyway."

As Lastelle attacks, Largo slowly walks up towards the group. Completely ignoring the Pegasus jousting each other, he moves right next to the supposed leader of the bunch, eyeing him up.

"Hi."

And then he proceeds to headbutt him.

Xerxe had located some Dark Magic users (finally) and charged into smiting range.

"...You worthless pieces of garbage! I will PUNISH YOU MYSELF!"

Action: G10 and HEAT attack on Specialist B is RPC is downed. Otherwise, I10 and HEAT ATTACK Specialist B.

Owyn moves to F15, Nico scoots up to H11, Anna moves to G12, Anya proceeds to G13, and Lucy goes to F13 and performs for both Lastelle and Anna! Anna then dashes up to H9 and tags the Underboss.

Jeannette Levesque, for her day job, was a famed pegasus racer. Known for regularly placing in the top three in the minor Pegasus Derbies run quarterly in Ishim, allegations have dogged her career of her sleeping her way to the top. These allegations were, unsurprisingly, borne out by her failed attempt at a Top Ten finish at last years Batali Grand Prix in the neighbouring kingdom of Wybernia owing to her failure to properly control her wyvern and causing a minor accident in the city's airship dock. For this reason, she was generally considered a complete joke outside of her native city of Ishim.

For her night job, of course, she was a member of the Hood Street Runners, feared street gang of Ishim comprised of dropouts from the Seven Kingdom Path and disgraced adventurers, and for those truly in the know, the real secret to her success in Ishim is her use of Runner connections to intimidate referees into giving her races.

Whether or not she slept her way to a Master Seal, of course, remains to this day unconfirmed.

Unfortunately for poor Jeannette, these particular issues had very little time to go through her mind before being smashed off the back of her pegasus and into a coffee-stained seat, rendering her unconscious before she can even reply.

Inspired by Lucy's dance, Lastelle whirls behind the remaining Runner and raises her scythe high above her head for a decapitatory swing, but then unexpectedly thrusts its butt end at the Runner's head.

The last Runner is dispatched with the back of a scythe butted into his head, and he hits the ground like a plank, arms at the side and weapons falling away.

Junius looks calm as he hefts his sword back over his shoulder.
"That should be the last of them, Warriors. I hope that-"

The sounds of more glass crashing can be heard, as more Runners arrive through the windows, weapons at the ready, surging up the carriages and through the path of destruction left by the Warriors (and the Chiefs). Before they can get far, however....
"Oh, for the love of all things unholy, can a girl get a gods-damned NAP?"
A transparent wave of energy washes over the carriages, starting just past the Warriors, sweeping over the incoming Runners.

Almost instantly, the Runners collapse to the ground, snoring and sound asleep.

The source of the wave pinches her nose, closing her eyes, before turning to the others.
"And if YOU guys make that much racket too, you're following them into Dreamland. Now go through to the next carriage, get some seats, sit the hell down and shut the hell up!"
She stomps through the door leading to the next carriage, leaving it open for the others to follow through.

"....what was up with that?"
