"Lead the way, Knuckles. I'm going to need a minute or two to get my act together. Not that having my boots will get rid of this hangover, but it'll make me feel better about being here......ugh..."
Aside from the door Nico just emerged from, which seems to lead down a different corridor leading to a staircase leading downstairs, as far as you can see, there seems to only be two other doors leading out of the room.

One, judging from the large glass door, leads to the balcony overlooking the rather large garden outside, trees dotting the sparse lawn with a light stone brick path leading through it and the faint lights of lanterns dotting the walls bordering the end of the mansion they were standing in. The other one is a wooden door that seems to have some scratches on it.

Lucy trotted over to the balcony door and opened it, peeking her head through curiously as she did just in case someone was hiding to the left or right just out of sight.

While making sure Bowler is alright, Lastelle muses aloud.

"The cans being wrong means that this wasn't our fault, at least. "

"It also means this wasn't an accident."

"I know most Tauriner sellers in town; they have good stock and wouldn't mislabel the cans."

Giving Bowler one last brush, Lastelle turns towards the others.

"But who would do this sort of thing? I mean, we have enemies, sure, but why would they only take our weapons and not kill us?"

Lastelle starts moving towards the now-open scratched door, but as Nico asked Tomomi to go first, she resists the urge to go through it...for about three seconds.

The room....appears to be the bathroom of the room they ended up in; marble tiles, a sink, an exquisitely crafted bathtub, proper plumbing, towels of all shapes hanging off a metal rack....

....and everyone's weapons covered in what appears to be blood all piled up in said bathtub. Oh boy.

Lastelle isn't quite sure how to react to this sight. The wheel spins and lands on 'deadpan snark'.

"Looks like we had a fun night."

Without further words, she picks up her scythes and checks the edges before leaving the bathroom.

The edges are strangely....sticky. More sticky than blood should be, anyway.

"Wait a minute..."

Lastelle touches the stains and thinks for a moment, before making the decision. Gingerly, she moves the silver blade in front of her mouth and licks it.

The stuff on the blade is sticky, bitter and does not at all taste of blood. In fact, it tastes closer to the sort of swill you might find at the bottom of the bartender's mat in the bad areas of Harel District late at night that they might squeeze into your glass if you pissed off the bartenders enough.

It's too sticky to be alcohol, or even a cocktail, of course, but it's not blood.

Lucy finds....nobody. Absolutely nobody. Not a single soul. There's some abandoned cans of Tauriner outside, but no sign of anybody else.

"You know, if we didn't have a situation going on, I have some idea about what we could do with a balcony."

Lucy went back inside and closed the door after her. She was crude, not impolite.

"What did you find in there, Ellie? Something that's not blood, you said?"

She could kind of hear the pegasus rider in the other room, but not too clearly.

Tomo, having watched the Pegasister acquire her weapons from the tub, had quickly moved over to check it as well. With a grin he quickly grabs his namesake weapons as well as Nico's boots before delivering the boots to his pink haired friend.
"Well, that solves that mystery. Now we just need to find out who took the weapons and why... Well, probably because we were getting rowdy, but there could be another answer."

"Wait, wait, wait, did you all say....blood?"
Nico acquired her boots from Tomo, whispering a quick "Thank you" before almost shivering at touching the sticky red stuff on her boots.
"W-what is this stuff? It looks like blood, but.....no, definitely not blood. Pretty sure it's....fake blood?"

"If I'm going to have to deal with sticky stuff..."

Lucy groused as she marched into the bathroom. She grabbed her weapons and took them to the sink, where she started washing them off - taking a moment to splash some water on her face as well to help wake up.

"It'd be nice if we had some stronger soap."

Lagata had calmed down notably once Nico, if briefly, once Nico had returned safely.  Though now, looking between the empty cans, and the flashing illusory lights dancing at the corners of her eyes, and the massive amount of red gunk she could see coating her textbooks on the other side of Lastelle and that door, she was starting to get angry again.  The kitten glanced at Elle's scythes for a moment, then shook her head.

"Definitely looks like fake blood.  If someone's trying to pull something, and it ISN'T just another one of Evie's things, I SWEAR.  I am not in the mood for this tonight."

Lagata paused for a moment, glancing at one of the half-full cans of tauriner as it rolled over to her foot.  She quickly scooped it up and went to grab an empty glass, which she quickly poured the soda in.  After a moment of fiddling, she also extracted a few grains of powder from her alchemical satchel, which she dropped into the glass, watching it intently for the color change that might indicate the presence of certain drugs.
