Causing battles and or wars?
« on: March 10, 2020, 11:29:07 pm »

I heard a while ago it was possible to cause conflict by stealing artifacts from one CiV and giving them to another. Just wondering if this actually causes conflicts?

Hmm. I once stole a bunch of artifacts for fun and instantly became an enemy of that civ. I'd imagine it'd work on a larger scale as well if you gift them to the king, some rando might also work.

You know what was happening? The terrifying master, nearly maxed all combat skills, was hitting me with some copper earring. Over and over. It took it few days, but he managed to beat me with copper earring.

You have to ensure that the civ you stole them from knows that the civ you've given them to has them. Otherwise, they'll just assume you have them.

You can probably manage that by taking on a fake identity and spreading rumours about the whereabouts of the artifact. Would take a while though.
