I’ve recently made a switch to Run 8 and it’s definitely the best train simulator I’ve ever tried. It’s much more realistic than alternatives and, what’s absolutely awesome, online! With an online community, the largest of which is known as the Depot, you can run a train with dozens of other players, be the dispatcher, or even run a train with your friends.

Depot+ is the best way to enjoy it, with a test and checkride to get in, but in return you get access to the most realistic train sim operations. If you’re a railfan, this a definite must-be.
