Damnit people, this is why I said to keep the truce. Because now everyone's ganging up on the cats.
Also, don't forget to contact your local Eldritch Being(s), so that they can help with our mission to destroy the universe.

Quote from: Watchers of the Woods
After Robin Hood had taken back Loxley Manor and married Maid Marion, most people forgot the Merry Men. After Peter Pan fed Captain Hook to the crocodile, most people forgot about both the crew of the Jolly Roger, and the Lost Boys. But we didn't forget.

As the heroes of those stories went on to their happy endings, we lived our lives. We enjoyed the freedom that came at the end of the fairy tale, living by our own rules outside of the towns and cities. We made peace with each other, and became the watchers of the Woods, guardians of the natural order.

To do so, we allied with the ancient inhabitants of these woods, the Fey and the Sylvan, offering tribute and respect in exchange for safe passage across their lands.

With the confirmation that there are going to be more starting units than what we get from here, I'm much more willing to support the fairies.
Not so keen, however, on trying to staple the freeshooters onto it.

I honestly just hate fairies. This is the least fairy option possible.

I mean, there are actual non-fairy options. If you don't want to do fairies, you could always just add one of the others to the votebox.

I'm still a fan of the Guardians, and hope we can get something like that in game, but I can settle with the Sherwood Fae.

Quote from: Yokai
Yokai

People like to personify things. That's why ships are all female, why swords have names, why people ascribe personality to any number of items. And as it turns out, they're right to do so - any given item or animal that's been around long enough can develop a spirit, a Yokai. That special sword? Yeah, that's got a Yokai. That harp that's been in the family for generations? Same thing. That fox that hangs around the shrine in the woods? It's probably a Yokai making sure you don't screw with the place. There's a wide variety of Yokai, and they can and often are in anything. But the thing they have in common is the thing that makes them admittedly a bit smug to the other Tales; they're essentially stories given form by the thoughts of the people. The aforementioned sword became a Yokai because enough people heard about it and believed it to be special. That fox was probably just a fox that was hanging out for any leftover snacks before people started to talk about it.

For the longest time, there was internal division among the Yokai; benevolent spirits and antagonistic ones clashing over how to treat the humans. The numbers were roughly even, and in some places their density was such that their existence was simply a part of daily life rather than a special event. Unfortunately, living in such close proximity to humanity would mean that it would be quite easy to find some...

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Don't like either of the human options, Fairies, while good, seem to have some objections

So fuck it, mystery box.

The objections mostly seem to boil down to Cold Steel nullifies all advantages. Which is an overreaction.

I just like the Yokai better, it seems like a less "obvious" route to take.

Because Yokai+Fairies combo seems less feasible.

Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1

Yokai are fun. And I dislike them not at all, compared to the other options which I do somewhat dislike other than Freeshooters which are obviously hated for some reason.
