A Observation
« on: March 16, 2022, 08:52:34 am »

I came up with a bit of philosophy;

The bigger it is, the more basic it gets.

I feel like life is stripping me down to my nether constitutions, and you know why?

It's all too big.

And the worlds only getting bigger, and more connected.

How are people going to respond to that?

Big is beautiful  :P

The realization of the vastness of things is the realization that we ourselves need bear mostly negligible responsibility.
Still, because everything is connected, we can still help.

What kind of bigger things? Organizations seem simpler when bigger because we have abstractions that let us bypass the internal complexities.

It seems to me you are falling into some sort of philosophical swamp Novel. Are you okay?

Define 'Basic'.

Organizations that are far too big for their own good do eventually boil down to their most basic aspects - that is to say the accumulation of money and power at the expense of morality.

A life far too big to enjoy is reduced to a few basic recreations one will have to enjoy, because a person cannot experience everything in his lifetime.

This is how I feel about religion, I think.  My day-to-day spirituality is based on beautiful natural phenomena, but when I'm thinking too rationally, there's this core concept:  The ultimate answer must be simple.  A god of everything must be extremely simple.

Very complicated, beautiful instances come from very simple rules.  Studying fractal math taught me that.

They aren't. Embrace the chaos.

One of the many reasons I am not a polytheist comes from this.

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar?
