Finally, a good thing comes from interstellar politics!

Hahn-Mur, the chillest species in the galaxy, agreed to form a commercial treaty with us.



USS Lagrange and Mrs.Lombardi have gone missing after the pesky machines built an outpot in Avuz, blocking all communications.

The Commitee have gathered to discuss whether this can be a valid pretext for war, or at least, putting pressure on the Mictori.



It seems that with Cynur we're going to have some sort of hate-love relationship.

I hate their indecision and posturing, yet they have bright enough ideas worth backing up at the Galactic Community.



Science Directorate is in mourning as the news arrived this morning that Ljuba Fedorova has died. The painkiller abuse got her at last.

Yves de Montaignac, a military theorist, offered to lead USS Hawking to finish the survey of Myrum system, as he wanted both some field experience and something to do at last.

Mrs.Fedorova will be buried with state honors in her hometown of Minsk.

The news that there's another Human interstellar empire has rocked all strate of Earth society. People are demanding answers and Commitee has grown silent.

Only after few days we've reached a conclusion that the manned colony ship, sent to Alpha Centauri in 2050, which never was heard from again, must've somehow ventured to the other side of galaxy.

While plausible, scientists on Earth are wondering how this 'Commonwealth of Man' was able to reach our levels of tech in colonial environment.



Colonists on Trabbur II have sent a report that they've successfully finished setting up the colony!

They report favorable weather and gentle breeze all day and night.



Further communications with the Commonwealth have removed the veil of mystery.

They are indeed the colonists Earth sent over 170 years ago to Alpha Centauri, and apparently an unstable wormhole trapped them within Deneb system.

Whilst they were able to establish their place in space, they suffer from population, resource and technological inferiority.



1st Fleet and Admiral Deng have met with one of the Amoeba flocks and began their extermination.

The dead carcasses, according to our scientists, could be invaluable research opportunity.

Mr.de Montaignac was ordered to study the remains once he and crew of USS Hawking are done surveying Myrum system.



The new, mandatory Polytechnic Education for all young adults will surely propel our scientific community to new heights!

And if not, it will at least result in more skilled, and more capable leaders of our great federation!



Intriguing indeed! It seems we have luck when it comes to abandoned outposts and derelict spaceships!

Mr.Scheinder and crew of USS Darwin are in danger - they've entered Rasalas System right in front of a flock of Amoebas!

1st Fleet, which was in the neighbourhood for just this occassion, has been scrambled to resuce the Darwin and exterminate the pests.



The peoples of Earth are equally sad and angry. The space animals mindlessly slaughtered the crew of USS Darwin, including Martin Schneider.

Loss of two great minds in such a small amount of time is a terrible blow to the Science Directorate as well.



Unfortunately, despite Admiral Teng's best efforts, the Amoebas simply continued their journey and escaped to a system we have no information about.

This only served to infuriate Human population even further.



In unprecedented feat of political acumen, Clarisse Dubois was re-elected for her 3rd term as Chairwoman of the United States of Earth!

We can only hope her advanced age won't diminish her capabilities in any way.



Dr.Kong reports that his team is reaching new levels of toxicity and radioactivity, previously not found in any ruin or space wreckage.

This will slow down his excavations, but he has confidence he will be able to uncover the secrets of this site.

We already have something to do for him after he's done at Fomalhaut - we've begun claiming the nearly resource-less systems of Yacury and Xulbak's Maw, one jump away from Sol each, and the former has the Baol outpost in it.



At Ibleen system, USS Lagrange finds us an auto-depot with some resource caches still full!

Very nice, we hope for even more free stuff in the future.



We receive news that a space polity called 'United Groknaploran Authority' has been destroyed by 'its enemies'.

This information came from other space-faring nations, so we cannot determine who Groknaplorans were or what exactly happened.

As it turns out, the reason behind toxicity at Fomalhaut site was indeed artificial in origin.

Someone wanted to blow up the planet, for whatever reason they had.

Dr.Kong and crew of USS Einstein were ordered to proceed to Yacury system and begin work on the site of abandoned Grunur outpost.



There has been consternation within the Commitee's circles when Chairwoman Dubois backed up a proposal placed by Commonwealth of Man.

She however still gathered enough support for her actions, citing the need to search for ways to enpower and enrich United States of Earth, no matter the origin.



A tremendous occassion on the field of interstellar politics!

Chairwoman Dubois and President Waddabb uvi-Pivvava of Hahn-Mur have signed a migriation treaty between our two polities.

As the Hahn-Mur occupy worlds not dissimilar to ours, there should be no problem for Human planets to accomodate Hahn-Murian immigrants, and vice versa!

Episode 008: Xenophiles Everywhere, Unite!

The adjacency of Iribot Link to Hahn-Mur, and our rivaling of the murderous robots, have made the Hahn-Mur more than receptible to our offers of treaties.

We now have a friend within the Galactic Community!



It seems that the space elves are also rivals of the Iribot Link.

They've opened their borders to us. Maybe the Cynur will do the same?



Survey ship USS Lagrange have found a deposit of dark matter.

This makes the Ibdleen system even more important besides being access point to a cluster of uncharted stars.

We must claim it as soon as possible, before the servitor bots from galactic 'west' to so.



We seem to be spiraling into very close relationship with the Hahn-Mur with each passing week.

Chairwoman Dubois have begun sending out feelers about potential, mutual Defensive Pact.



Dr.de Montaignac have sent the reports of the autopsies done upon the Amoeba carcasses.

Surprisingly, it seems that the organic hull and autonomous flagellas can be replicated and added to Humanity's arsenal!

Rsearch into Quantum Theory was finished, and we happened upon the ability to pursue the theory of Hyperlane Breach Points!

Guy Gerard was made the head of Physics Department and tasked to validate this theory.

With better Hyperdrives and the Fusion Reactors already available, it will be time to pursue new designs for Starfleet!



The 1st Fleet have made short work of the Amoeba flock. Even better, they've suffered zero ship losses!

Hopefully Dr.Schneider's soul can rest easier now that his killers were eliminated.



Our Chief Archeologist, Mr.Hui Kong, has sent his first report on the Yacury site.

He was given permission to find a proof for his theory. If the Amoebas do have a secondary breeding system, the 1st and 2nd Fleet will purge it.



Once again, USS Lagrange and Dr.Lombardi expose marvels of universe to us!

As they've just finished survey of Trimus system, they were given green light to investigate the gigantic bone remains.



The Diplomatic Corps have achieved their greatest task so far - they've finalized a Non-Aggression Pact with the Cynur!

A public celebration saw diplomats from Cynur and Earth partake in traditional exchange of gifts. The same day, Chairwoman Dubois declared opening of borders of the United States for Cynur ships once more.

"This time," she said, "We hope that it is the last time the borders will have to be opened for our neighbours, the Cynur."

High Queen Claws of Brown, exactly two weeks later, issued a proclamation allowing Human ships to travel through Cynur space as well.



Dr.Lombardi finished her research on the gigantic skeleton.

Turns out it teleported onto the planet and died!

Shocking, I know. But our scientists believe it is better the thing is dead and not alive.




Cloning research has been mastered and we've tasked the Society Department to pursue and get the Colonial Centralization topic on hold.

Why? Obviously, we can now clone the strange tentacled being that we've found frozen on an asteroid!

Chairwoman Dubois, an avid fan of sci-fi horrors from mid-20th century, has expressed a doubt about the whole thing, but once we've promised to keep this research in high-security complex, she calmed down, somewhat.



Baol were apparently plant-based Hive Mind species that evolved through millions of years.

We've decided not to oppress them in any way and make them into workers amongst Humans. Despite what the tooltip says, the Azizians were moved to Earth, not Olympia.

They've been given residential rights and are exempt from full military duty. Once they - and us - get accustomed to the situation, we will grant them full citizenship laws.

Our own, home-grown, xenos! Yay!



Unsurprisingly, all the xeno-diplomacy as well as revival of Azizians have gave strength to xenophilic tendencies.

And now a Xenophile party was registered in the Commitee! Given how strong the Xenophilia is within USoE at the moment, we might expect Alien Suffrage Watch to gain quite a lot of power within the Commitee.



Unfortunately, Governor Barakat has recently gained a reputation of a stubborn man.

He might be shooting himself in the foot with that kinda behavior, given he is a faction leader!



The Grunur were supreme dicks of the ancient galactical landscape!

Kinda like us, few centuries ago.



The Commitee has drafted a new colonial charter. This is for Yeelon IIIa, the tropical world orbiting a gas giant.

The popular vote has given it the name 'Zanzibar', after an island that once was a wealthy, tropical sultanate, now several meters under the water.

Cynur Enlightened Kingdom has offered us a Research Agreement!

Science-oriented peoples should work together, so Chairwoman Dubois agreed to the treaty.




The thought of Azizian laborers is a bit iffy for the more xeno-oriented Humans.

Therefore a proposal was put to create some non-sentient, robotic workers instead.

The Commitee gave a green light to the idea, and so Engineering Department will be pursuing the topic!



This site is done for, and Dr.Kong even gained a 'Roamer' trait out of it.

The third Baol-Grunur site is located in Elthior system, which is unfortunately governed by the automated, hostile, Mining Drones.

Again, Dr.Kong will have to wait.



Oh dear, the Hahn-Mur have rivaled their neighbours?

I didn't expect our dear fungi friends to be that vicious!



Celebrated as 'Mother of the United States', Chairwoman Clarisse Dubois is unsurpassed in her rulership.

Her eye for talent will greatly help establish the 'best of the best' as our leaders!



The same day, Admiral Deng blasts open the mining drones down in the Dontaur system.

The battle yielded some debris that could be scanned. The wreckage in particular has some working Ion thrusters, which could help our ships move faster in combat.

Dr.Kong, who was assisting the Academy of Sciences on Earth, has been tasked to evaluate the debris and survey the Dontaur system while he's at it.



The monuments themselves are pretty, yes, but our scientists have a hunch that the lines might be something else than just artwork.

They have been scanned and imaged in the archives on Earth. Mayhaps, like with Azizians, we can do *something* with the linear art in the future.

One has to wonder if our Ruler trait had anything to do with the elections!

The other trait is 'Champion of the People', giving state-wide +5% Happiness bonus.



Debris research is even better, for it also gives us an always-available topic on top of progressing it a bit.

Thus, we now can always choose to pursue Ion Thruster or Mining Laser research.




Aww, yeah! Mrs.Lombardi once again proves to be invaluable asset to our research.

This rare tech is very nice, and gives us everything to set up shop quickly on any newly colonized planet.



Negotiations with Cynur ended in them giving us communication patterns of the Caloctora.

These ugly purifiers fortunately lie in 'top' of the Galaxy, far from our borders.

Meanwhile, Starfleet Design Bureau has already provided us with the new class of interceptor frigates: The Leopards!



As seen here, the Leopard-class Frigate is principally a faster version of Porcupine-II.

That's mainly because of the Afterburners, which are easily supported thanks to the new Fusion Reactor.

The Bureau however turned down the notion of improving the Katyusha design; improving their speed wouldn't do much, as they're medium-range missile boats.



It seems that the Cynur have dealt with the drones patrolling the Elthior system!

They're already building an outpost there. Hopefully they will allow us to investigate the remains of Baol colony there.





Velutarian Commonwealth has just announced that it helped three younger species gain FTL-technology!

This caused a small stir within the Galactic Community, and doesn't sit extremely well with us.

Especially because the enlightened species seem to have taken some lessons in Velutarian arrogance.



Speaking of Velutarians themselves, they've seen that their buddies, the Cynur, became friends with us.

Unsurprisingly, they didn't want to be outdone, and so we're now in Non-Aggression Treaty with them.

We have great hopes in gaining a Research Pact too, considering Velutarian tech is slightly more advanced then ours.



Colonial Centralization is done, and Earth is already building the much needed Planetary Capital.

Meanwhile, Society Department will get some work done on Atmospheric Filtering. It's about time we start adjusting ourselves to the alien worlds we colonize.



Elthior III has been proven to host a Baol lost colony!

Unfortunately, the Cynur brush aside our requests for ownership of Elthior, and thus, our research into Baol has hit a stop.

All these scientific pursuits have made Drone Study much more time-manageable.

We've therefore decided to pursue this Study - maybe the Drones can be useful for something else than just scrap.




Unfortunately, it has been proven that the pulsating stars are nothing but derilious hallucinations inside Mrs.Lombardi's head.

Doctor Lombardi was relieved of duty, and a graduate of Shanghai Astrophysics Centre, Dr.Feng Zhu, became the new captain of USS Lagrange and its crew.



In their first collaborative action ever, the 1st and 2nd Fleets effortlessly hunt down the 3rd and last of Amoeba flocks that were running around Hiklam system.

This victory means that at least this sector of space is now completely Amoeba-free.

The carcasses of these pests are intact enough that we can scan them to provide more insights into Regenerative Hulls and Flagellas; Dr.Kong, because he has nothing else to do, has been in charge of scanning the remains.

So I have good news and bad news.

Good news: I will be coming to LP more of Stellaris shortly!

Bad news: Most of my singleplayer saves got bricked for one reason or another. I recently purchased all remaining DLCs but even deactivating them doesn't help. It might be that I poked my fingers into game files (I swear I just modified some names), or maybe something else is at work.

I will try to un-tinker the files and see if that restores USoE to playability. Otherwise, we will be going with a new game.

Episode 001: Space-Faring Felines

We are the Mrsshan.

The great warriors, the polite conquerors, upholders of honorable conduct and proud duelists.

When the war is resolved, the winners partake in wines and meats alongside those who lost, before taking in them as vassals and servants, and assuming control of their holdings. This is the Mrsshan way.

We are cultured people, loving art, craftsmanship, literary pursuits and long conversations on topics mundane and important.

For what worth has a warrior, if they do not know how to conduct themselves off the field of battle?



Our star system, the Sha'Mar, has recently been conquered by our patriotic star explorers.

But it without the patronage of our late Emperor, Dershewan Mrsshani, we would still be confined to the gravity of our home planet.

For the forty years of his rule, he sponsored hard sciences and astrophysics. In the first year of his rule, we reached the stars.

In the fortieth, we set foot on most of celestial bodies surrounding the Sha'Mar Sun.



Now it is up to his heir and daughter, Mirsha Mrsshani, to further guide the proud Mrsshan race outside the boundaries of Sha'Mar system.

We have the technology, the resources, and the courage of our pilots to accomplish the goal set before us:

To conquer the galaxy, and make it our domain, where courage and artisanship of Mrsshan will be well known and praised.



Traditionalists everywhere on Mirr nod in approval; Empress Mrsshani lost her ability to produce children in her young age, so a compromise was needed.

The decision to appoint her younger brother, Mrsshan Mrsshani, as the heir, is a logical and wise choice.

He is popular amongst younger politicians and has a keen sense of aesthetics and architecture.



Scientist Marsshan Gerrari has made a startling discovery; not only does the hyperlanes connect with stars nowhere near Sha'Mar, they are stable to travel!

Furthermore, the very first planet ISS Mui has scanned is a lush, tropical world, not unlike Mirr!

Communities back at homeworld are thrilled to learn of this. Empress Mirsha has declared Vanniko system as the first to be taken in as the new fief of the Empire.



But it is Scientist Garra Zarshewani that makes even more startling discovery - sapient life existed as far as millions of years ago!

And it was apparently an union of space-faring peoples, ruling over vast part of our galaxy.

It is truly the designs of Universe itself that we follow the First League's footsteps.



Vanniko system has been fully surveyed by Scientist Marsshan Gerrari and the crew of ISS Mui.

Our constructor ship has been sent to built the first extrasolar outpost in the system, and claim it for Mrsshan Empire!



The recent discoveries on the fields of astrophysics and xenobiology, coupled with the remembrance of previous Emperor's guidance, has led the Privy Council of the Empress to dictate:

Curiosity will enlighten the Mrsshan! Unto the stars we boldly go, to claim our destined glory and power!



Albeit claimed, the Vanniko system is a wilderness. Before we send in families, we need to send workercats.

Once an industrial base is set up, we can colonize Vanniko III.



Some sort of anomaly has been discovered by Scientist Garra Zarshewani.

Meanwhile, our studies of other star systems has given us three new planets to colonize: Guwartan IIc, Guwartan IIb and Swur IIa. All of them mostly Alpine.

Mind you, the Snowcat subspecies comprise of only 1.54% of entire Mrsshan species. It would be hard to find suitable colonists, and even harder to persuade them to leave Mirr.

Maybe in the future, when we're masters of nature and xenobiomes, we will settle these worlds.



It seems that the anomaly we've detected earlier is in fact scientific formulas, coded in the form of music. Fascinating.

As you can notice, our Unity/Month in the top has bumped up. That's because we've built the Holo-Theater of Mirr, capable of holding 500.000 Mrsshan spectating animal fights, gladiator duels, war plays, duelist romances and wartime epics.

Do we make friends with them, or do we first test their mettle, and then determine whether they should be friends or vassals?

Unfortunately, Scientist Marsshan Gerrari has found out that the transmissions were just pre-recorded information bulletins.

While scientific community rejoices, this has put the Extraordinary Session of Privy Council to a sudden stop.
