Episode 002: Through Knowledge, Power

Not only we've found the probable location of the Rubricator device, we finally had a status update from Scientist Marsshan Gerrani.

One of the races that were part of the First League was a race of underground dwellers. ISS Mui is scheduled to visit the spots once they're done surveing the rest of Rimborth system.



Sapient, intelligent, industrial life!

An emergency session of the Privy Council of the Empress has been called. Our honored elders will decide whether these Raxycodium aliens will be treated as equals or vassals to be conquered.

Considering that they're just few generations of research behind us, perhaps their fate will be a pleasant one.



The Empress did remark that whilst mysteries of universe are beautiful, the Raxycodiumi aren't.

Plus, they seem quite hostile and aggressive, too.



During the Council it was also decided that we must put greater emphasis on the administrative capacity of our Empire.

The old, rigid system is woefully inadequate for the scope of our expansion. We need to adapt it, just as we adapt our ways of thinking.

The Council came to a conclusion about Raxycodiumi status; their xenophobic ways must be tempered before they become a problem. Morghama system is just 3 jumps away from Sha'Mar; placing an outpost and then conquering the plantoids should pose no logistical problem.



A third Science ship has been commissioned; it will be captained by Scientist Rsshan Tarjani, who gained international fame with his oceanic voyages down on Mirr.

After all, what is cosmos is not a sea of dust, filled with islands of planets and stars?



Industrial robots have existed for the past century, but it will be a novel thing to see them shaped in Mrsshanoid ways.

Perhaps, one day, we can have fully robotic Mrsshan, too?



It seems that not only we are participating in social confinement studies.

At least, ours do not involve participant casaulties.



Ah, indeed! The first Continental Networks were based on the pre-existing trade routes of Mrsshani kingdom-states.

It seems that common sense and logic dictates the development of many societies, no matter how scaly and snakey they are.



Scientist Garra Zarshewani has stumbled upon something that our astrophysicists predicted as early as 2050s; a wormhole!

Its behavior and general astromechanics seem to match with our charts, except a certain repeating pattern that seems to indicate a possibility of making it stable.

If only we could stabilize it... perhaps our descendants will achieve this feat.



The first major discovery by Rsshan Tarjani might be one that is too big for him.

By order of the Empress, he was to pass his notes to Scientist Garra Zarshewani, who was requested to study Simtinasca I anomaly after they're done with their surveys (3 more star systems).




In her second largest speech, before the crowd of nearly 1.2 million Mrsshani spectators, Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has explained the need for unity and singular vision of all Mrsshan.

"We must be united to reach the goals set before us. Be it unity in life, unity in sciences, unity of thought and unity of beliefs, we must be like One."

The crowd cheered, agreeing wholeheartedly to their beloved Empress' vision.




The view was not exactly shared by the Privy Council, and Empress Mirsha, urged on by her younger brother, Crown Prince Mrsshan, has decided that it was time to get rid of it.

Instead, to ensure that everything will progress smoothly, the Privy Council was replaced by Imperial Senate; no longer will stuffy pen-pushers and heads of ancient houses will dictate the internal politics. That will now be the role of scientists and governors with actual experience.

The loosening of restrictions on political gatherings and thought was welcomed by the Mrsshan of all strata. The establishment of Imperial Senate also allows her to exert more political influence than before; if one group disagrees, simply butter up another.

This made some believe that Empress Mirsha is beacon of progress, and some, that she is a skilled manipulator of the public...



It seems that some of our discoveries are less of scientific and more of societal nature.

Then again, we didn't ever before think about making monumental amusement parks.



Having found a lush world, not very dissimilar from Mirr itself, Scientist Rsshan Tarjani has developed enough of courage to publish his minor study on astro-materials.

It has been noted by the academia that Rsshan Tarjani's work is very enlightening, and thus, he must be an expert in the field that avoided exposure till now.



The further away from Sha'Mar we go, the more split paths are found.

Fourth Science Ship, ISS Furo, captained by Rarsshan Dershewani, will help ISS Mui with covering lots more stellar ground in the norther hyper-sectors.



Administrative reforms were completed just in time for us to get 51 points of Empire Sprawl.

We're doing good so far.

Societal Department was ordered to get it on with backlog of genetic research.



A priority alert has called Imperial Senate into gathering and discussing these Beta Aliens.

It was soon decided that research on these enigmatic space animals will be followed up by butchering them.



Fortunately, Scientist Rsshan Tarjani and crew of ISS Ritani were able to flee the hostiles.

They've decided to continue their survey schedule rather than retreating to known space. Praised be courage of crew of ISS Ritani!



There's absolutely no reason to believe that Raxycodium nation-states do not know what is happening in orbit around their planet.

Their governments are probably trying to keep it cool while our agents indoctrinate the population.

It's either that, or we pacify the Raxycodiumi xenophobia by force. And we would prefer to avoid bombing their planet, right?




The Space Amoebas have been slated for eradication. It would make a good target practice for the 1st Fleet, which so far had nothing to do but perform some police duty on cargo ships and extrasolar outposts.



We don't have the luxury of chasing every malfunction out there.

It is for the best.



Already our agents down on Maghama II report success!

The Raxycodium plantoids have broken out of their thick shell and decided that curiosity and universe are things both worth embracing.



It seems that space fauna has one more specimen in its catalogue.

These strange beings, however, did not trigger any combat alarms on board ISS Mui, so there's high chance that they're docile.

If they are, there will be no need to butcher them.



Empress Mirsha Mrsshani have declared that it is time for us to claim our place in the stars.

A new policy of Expansion has been announced by the Senate. We will begin colonizing the exoplanets - starting with Vanniko III, right outside Sha'Mar.



The more Continental-class worlds we discover, the better modifiers we find alongside them.

And you know who is best suited for Continental biomes?

Raxycodium plantoids.



The special project to study the enigmatic 'whales of stars' as one warrior-poet has named them, the Tiyanki has proven to be as docile as they can be.

Our spaceships were outfitted with IFF schematics to recognize Tiyanki as no-threat pings at best and mayhaps traffic dangers at worst.



Imperial Edict of Empress Mirsha has became the final piece of our planned colonization of Vanniko III.

The Mirr Orbital Shipyard is now construction an enormous vessel capable of fetching tens of thousands of colonists to the planet.

As it will be the second world that Mrsshan will call 'home', so it was named after the second largest Empire ever in our history, Eridari Commonwealth.



Speaking of Imperial Edicts, Empress Mirsha issued one that directly influences our stellar expansion.

The 'Map the Stars' Edict will boost our surveying capabilities by quite a lot.

Episode 003: Raxycodium Question and The Colonial Project

The conquest of Raxycodium homeworld has began in earnest.

Although the plantoids defense forces are equally sized, we have the advantage of combativeness and technology.

The downfwall of Maghama II should be swift and relatively low in casaulties.



And it has been done! Maghama II is now a planet under jurisdiction of Mrsshan Empire!

Imperial Senate is divided; the Xeno Tolerance Organization in particular has voiced their displeasure for such harsh treatment of primitives.



The planet itself has been misappropriated by the locals.

Mrsshan bureaucrats will move, followed by entertainers and alloymakers.

Industrial wastelands will be cleared, and so will be slums.



Luxuries have been sent to the natives to mellow them out, but neither Senate nor the Empress are dumb.

Mrsshan soldiers and checkpoints were placed on the planet to ensure everything will proceed smoothly.



And finally, the 'Question on Laws of Plantoid Subjects' has been settled by the Senate.

Raxycodium subjects will be second-class citizens. If they prove loyal and brave subjects of the Empress, mayhaps, one day, we will treat them as equals.

But that time is not now.



The more radical parts of the XTO, alongside with some Raxycodium politicians, have formed an Isoliationist Party!

They demand for restrictions and isolation policy. The strength of the party alarmed the Empress, but she refused to comment.

Meanwhile, the Assault Corps have landed on Maghama II to strength the local police forces.



It seems that the history of the First League was not all peaceful and happy.

Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has issued an Edict, ordering Scientist Garra Zarshewani to investigate once she's done with the survey of Matar system.



A truly historical scientific breakthrough was brought on by Scientist Marsshan Gerrari and the crew of ISS Mui!

They've proven the existence of the elusive 'Dark Matter' that was theoretized to exist by our scientists for the past century.

While currently it is just a curiosity to be studied, some of the more imaginative Mrsshan scientists believe that few generations down the line, we will find the use for it.



Imperial Senate has decided to upgrade the facilities on Maghama outpost and expand it into a Starbase.

It will let us exploit the resources down on Maghama II and facilitate trade between the capital and Raxycodium homeworld.



Just two weeks later, we receive confirmation from the colonial ship headed for Vanniko III, now called Eridaura:

They've successfully landed and began unpacking!

They believe that the colony will be self-sufficient in about 3 and half Standard Imperial Years.



A peculiar encounter has occurred in Pentarum system.

A space station, previously not showing up on our long-range sensors, has been spotted by ISS Mui.

Messages, instructions and simple codes were exchanged between our ship and the alien station, and the Society Research Department was given an Imperial Edict to translate the language of the station inhabitants.



There is much to be found in Matar system; Scientist Garra Zarshewani just reported to the Senate that another precursor site was found in the system.

It might or might not be of First League, and Scientist Garra Zarshewani was ordered to investigate immediately.



Our foray into Zero-G laboratories has been completed, and the computer department has pointed out that we're doing lots of surveying.

We've acquiesced to the pursuit of Automated Survey Protocols.

From exploration we gain knowledge, and we all know that knowledge, equals power.



ISS Mui notes another discovery!

This time, they've discovered what was dubbed 'Volatile Motes' by the scientific community.

Highly explosive dust. Both our industrial and military developers are already thirsting to find applications for it.



Ah, so the space station is home to a trading corporation! That is good to know.

Unfortunately, they're out of reach of our fleets and traders, so our relationship will be minimal, it seems.



It seems that a moon-gas giant impact is scheduled on the cosmic calendar!

ISS Ritani and Scientist Rsshan Tarjani were ordered to postpone their survey and concentrate on observing the event.



The Society Department has finished it work on Genome Mapping, and is willing to put the knowledge to good use.

Both Eridauri and Maghama II are covered in dense, nearly-impenetrable jungles.

It has been decided that, to encourage growth and prepare the land, we develop some Selective Defoliants.



A rather grim situation is developing on Maghama II's surface.

It seems that the adjustment is not coming as fast we would like to, with construction of facilities and creation of jobs facing similar difficulty.

Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has issued an Imperial Edict to distribute goods to the impoverished Raxycodiumi for a period of 10 years.

After that time, there should be plenty of jobs and amenities on Raxycodiumi homeworld that this situation should not happen again.



Darsshan Euzari, a longtime head of the Physics Department of Sciences, has stepped down from his post.

He has been given a command of a survey ship, newly constructed ISS Serri.

His position as Head of Physics Department was given to the young Computer Scientist, Darsshan Dershewani.




Afterburners have been tested and greenlighted by the Engineering Department!

Imperial Admiralty is now debating whether this should be taken as an opportunity to design a new corvette class.

Meanwhile, Empress Mirsha has further dedicated resources to Expansion. She invested in education of xenobiology and resettlement programs.

This way, more colonists will appear on newly colonized planets, hastening development and growth of infant colonies.




It seems that Matar system has been a major system of the First League.

First battle wreckage, now a scientific facility? This a goldmine for our Archeology department.

And just five days later we receive report from ISS Mui as well!

All these sites are to be meticulously searched after their respective systems are completely surveyed.



The videofeed from the collision of Ramsir III and its moon has been a great success!

Both academia and the public have been grateful to Empress Mirsha and the crew of ISS Ritani for providing this opportunity.

According to polling experts, the popularity of Empress Mirsha Mrsshani is now reaching the levels of her venerable father, Empreror Dershewan Mrsshani.



Inclusion of Maghama II into our territory as well as beginning of our colonization project has put a strain on our administration.

It is time to expand it, and expand we shall!



Not all is well in our exploratory department.

It seems that our wise and respected Scientist, Rarsshan Dershewani, took his work too personally.

That paranoia of his is hampering our survey efforts. But out of respect for his prior accomplishment, Empress Mirsha allowed him to retain the captaincy of ISS Furo.



We're now entering the second phase of our colonial project.

A colony ship full of Raxycodium youths and impoverished families will be sent to Andack IIIa, which will therefore be known as Raxyssha colony.

Virgin land for the disgruntled, a place of forests, meadows and opportunity for our new subjects as well as our bureaucrats.

It also lies directly in the hyperlane path between Mirr and Maghama II. Couldn't find a better place.



In the meanwhile, to further stabilization on our planets and in the colonies, by the way of Imperial Edict, Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has enacted an Information Quarantine.

The state needs to keep dissidents and wrong-sayers in check. Otherwise, our society would descend into chaos.



This find confirms our suspicions; life in the First League's time wasn't all fun and games.

It is good to know that local precursors knew how to fight. Perhaps we will find some useful weapon technology amongst their ruins.




Scientist Rsshan Tarjani was ordered to leave the anomaly be. A five years of study is too much of his time.

Meanwhile, our scientists finished the Automated Protocols, and they are being transmitted to our Survey Ships right now.

Further computer study should be directed toward military applications; Imperial Admiralty has decided to postpone its ship designs until this research is completed.



The First League sites are providing more information than we could've imagined.

This concludes the research into Matar system. Scientist Garra Zarshewani was ordered to, finally, study the ruins on Simtinasca I.

Episode 004: Secrets of the Precursors

Discovery of the Gateways and the mysterious L-Cluster have stirred quite few minds amongst Mrsshan academia.

Studies of the portal found in P-94L Singularity have begun and ended, for the technology is far superior to our own.

Some believe that it might take several generations before we finally reach the advancement levels that will allow us to utilize Gateways and reach the L-Cluster.



Our first colony, Eridaura, has became fully self-sufficient!

It's already a bit cramped; Governor Barr Purtani therefore ordered that some work districts be built.

Later, we can develop some city infrastructure as well.



Scientist Darsshan Euzari and ISS Serri have encountered a truly massive construction out in Sanctuary system.

The local defenses are so overpowering that a single shot could vaporize the survey ship.

A transmission, no doubt from automated systems on the station, is being received.





The information received from the station was broadcasted to Mrsshan politicians and academics.

The consensus was to politely follow the instructions of Sanctuary Defense Matrix.

However, the Ringworld constructed around Sanctuary star is full of resources and living space.

We will revisit the system in few decades.



We receive a report on the First League base in Tem system.

As suspected, it was a local outpost for berthing patrol ships from nearby systems.



While military factions are giddy to get their hands on the shipyard and whatever contents it might hold, there's a problem.

Rippigaur system is far from our space, and our construction ships have more important things to do.

Maybe, few years from now, we will repair the shipyard.



A priority message is sent by Scientist Garra Zarshewani on board ISS Ruri.

A massive alien fleet has been found entering the Simtinasca system from Romsir.

The fleet has been ignoring our hails and so far has been ignoring ISS Ruri as well.

Military has been put on state of high alert and ISS Ruri was ordered to bolt it the moment the alien fleet starts showing any signs of hostility.

By 24.7.2220, the alien fleet entered the Hyperlane to Matar system. No communications were received.



It seems that our culture has permeated the stars much faster than we thought!

Eruma Derrari's work has been found on a broadcasting device in middle of nowhere.

Who were the mysterious visitors from the past, and why they took a liking to Eruma's works? We might neverk now.



The Raxycodium colonists have landed on Andack IIIa, or Raxyssha, as it will be known from now on.

Estimates indicate that the colony should reach self-sufficience my mid-year of 2224.




Our Science Ministry notes another voluntary step-down by a Department Director.

This time it is Marr Euzari of Society Department that decided to follow his curiosity and visit the stars.

And we have just a replacement for his position!



The Habitable Worlds Survey programme has finally been concluded.

It has provided us with lots of research data and people are donating to our scientific cause.




Selective Defoliants researched!

Having recent Habitable Worlds Survey on mind, we decided to further our Biodiversity Studies.

And as much as we would like to pride ourselves on self-sufficiency of our planet, it is obvious that most of riches lie in surrounding stars.

Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has issued the 'Reach for the Stars' Edict, granting our bureaucracy as faster way to stamp those Outpost construction approvals.




Scientist Marr Euzari has managed to uncover an ancient geothermal mining machinery and even procure some much needed Energy credits this way.

With Zero-G Refineries research complete, this prompted Engineering Science Department to start their work on a new project.

Geothermal Fracking, which, in principle, will do what the machinery on Eadominar Ia was doing.



First League Prison Complex was the base we've found on Simtinasca I.

Scientist Garra Zarshewani, being the one who sent the report, was ordered to do a thorough study on the complex.



THe study of the Prison Complex has yielded some interesting conclusions.

It seems that First League wasn't as benevolent as we previously thought.

Even on Mirr, dead escapees' bodies are recovered and properly buried, praising their bravery for the attempt.

Does the First League hold more darker secrets that we previously didn't even consider looking for?



Although we would rather have the jungle land utilized, our natural Mrsshan curiosity demands we investigate these statues.

It seems strange that they were not noticed before by our sensors, and Raxycodiumi did not speak of these before either.



The site of the jungle statues is to be excavated by the newly created Archeology Mission of the Societal Department.

Led by young, eager, and energetic Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari, we're having great hopes of uncovering the secret of the statues.

If Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari will be successful, she will be tasked with excavation on other archeological sites within Mrsshan territory.

Who knew that stellar fireworks could be so inspiring?



Pirates weren't seen by Mrsshan populace since the Sea Cleansing Operations of 2149-2152.

Until now.

The First Imperial Fleet under command of Admiral Zarshia Arsshani has been called into action.



Logic Computers have been finally moved into production phase.

While Self-Evolving Logics are the main project of Physics Department, the Admiralty is busily awaiting conclusion of anti-piracy action in Andack system.



The fleet action occured after a big delay; the thrusters of our old Mafran-class Corvettes are just not cut for the deal.

The combat rages and the battering the pirates received from Andack Outpost helped tilt the tide of battle to our side.



Just a week later, as the piracy hunting is winding down, Imperial Bureau of Spaceship Design has presented blueprints for Mafran Da-class Corvette.

Fusion reactor placed on the ship allows for much more to be installed on board the ships.

The swarm-oriented battle computers coupled with afterburners will let the 1st Imperial Fleet react and travel faster to combat zones.



Scientist Marr Euzari has found an ancient battleship graveyard!

As he and crew of ISS Furo have recently finished survey of Qirbus system, they were ordered to begin excavations.



Finally, the anti-pirate action in Andack system has been concluded.

Out of 10 pirate ships, nine were destroyed and one escaped into the void; the Mrsshan onboard won't be missed by anyone.

1st Imperial Fleet and Admiral Zarshia Arsshani were ordered to return to Sha'Mar to receive their triumph, repair their ships, and schedule a refit of the corvettes to Mafran Da-class.



Out of all blockers on our planets, Toxic Kelp is as abundant as Dense Jungles.

It is obvious that we will be pursuing a way to alter oceanic ecology to remove it.

Episode 005: Religious Federations and Heart of the First League

While the public if aware that our survey ship made contact with spacefaring aliens, they do not know that we received coded messages in three different languages.

Are the ships governed by three species at once? Or is there something else happening?

Society Department, working at highest levels of secrecy, is translating the coded messages in hopes of understanding the alien languages.



The Mount Graveyard have proven to hold nothing but scraps of metal.

It does give valuable experience to Scientist Marr Euzari, and of course we could study the remains later on.



Raxysshan colony is fully self-sufficient now!

It will serve as a new home for those Raxycodium plantoids searching for a new place to live.



The homeworld of the species that wielded the Rubricator have been surveyed.

It lies just two jumps outside our territory.

In the near future, we will probably claim it and begin the search for the fabled artifact.



One of the languages have been translated and communication has been opened with Commonality of Hulfassa.

Deeply Spiritual and Pacifist in nature, they seem to be no threat to our interests; their territory also lies quite far from ours.



An envoy of ours quickly updated us on the foreign policies of Hulfassa.

It turns out, they're part of a small 'federation', of which the two other species belong too.



Maghama II has gotten to the point where military control of the administration was no longer needed.

Empress Mirsha have decided to lift the Martial Law on the planet.




And once again, the head of Science Department steps down and a long-time surveyor takes their place.

Rsshan Tarjani is much more suited for the Engineering research nowadays, after all.

And it is about time we begin learning how to make use of the strategic resources.



Second member of the Alliance of Galactic Powers have translated our language first.

The Sebans seem to be more amicable than the leaders of their federation.

A Mrsshan envoy was sent to Seban Council to foster a working relationship.



Finally, we manage to translate the language of the last member of AoGP.

The species are called Mandasura, and just like the Seban, they're interested in alien cultures.

Just like with other members of the Alliance, an envoy was sent to improve relations with Mandasura.



And we receive the full hyperlane and system map of the Alliance's territory.

As you can see, the Seban are the ones nearly sharing a border with us.



Imperial Senate and Empress Mirsha have expressed a desire to strike a trade agreement with them.

The Seban were quite agreeable to the proposal and accepted right away!



A gigantic skeleton of improbable measurements has been found on Seifarus IIIa.

Very peculiar! Scientist Marsshan Gerrari was ordered to investigate once he is done investigating the system.



Another anomaly discovered by Scientist Marsshan Gerrari has given us a load of Nanites.

We're not sure about what to do with them.

Maybe our engineering or science departments can find an use for them.



We've storaged enough Alloys to begin refit of the 1st Imperial Fleet ships into Mafran Da-class.

A completely new corvette will be built at the local Shipyard as well.

We shall share works of art and craftsmanship with them, as well as resources and trinkets.



Scientist Marsshan Gerrari has concluded his investigation of the giant skeleton.

Apparently, it was moved there through the power of extremely advanced physics.

We don't know how is that possible, but at least we know it IS.



Between our administration and the Imperial Fleet, our reach extends our capability to keep up with communications.

Imperial Courier Network Agency has thus been commissioned by Imperial Senate on orders of Empress Mirsha.

Dedicated solely to carrying messages and important fursonas, it will reduce our Empire Sprawl by quite a bit.



Report from Maghama II about freak accidents and superstitions surrounding the Sentinels have infuriated Empress Mirsha.

She believes that someone is sabotaging the excavation.

If anything, it might jeopardize the young Farshiwa Gerrari's career.



Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari has gone missing!

Assault Corps, still stationed on Maghama II, were ordered to launch a search operation to determine her fate.

Further excavations on the Sentinels' site will be postponed for now.



An extremely powerful fleet of enemy vessels was encountered by Scientist Darsshan Euzari and ISS Serri.

They were told to evacuate the Trabalore system while our Society department is translating the extremely complex language of the aliens.



Through network of hyperlane courierships, Scientist Marsshan Gerrari has decided to find the answers about the Sentinels.

He was given Imperial Consent by the Empress Mirsha to pursue this goal.

Hopefully, he can find the missing Farshiwa Gerrari, his third cousin twice-removed, as well.



Disconcerting news come from Darsshan Euzari - apparently the 'Nu Aliens' own two systems!

Stumbling into what could be called the heart of Nu's operations, ISS Serri's sensors noted no less than 70 alien ships.

This fleet power is about ten times higher than what the 1st Imperial Fleet can muster at the time.



Turns out the technology behind these 'Mining Drones' isn't advanced, just slightly off our charts at the moment.

These drones are ancient, the study of them will take about three years before we can find anything interesting about them.

Our Engineering department, unfortunately, has more important things to do right now.



Scientist Marsshan Gerrari has made progress on the Sentinels', but has yet to find his cousin.

This gives the Senate more anxiety than a bag of fleas.

Meanwhile, her cousin, Scientist Marsshan Gerrari, has returned on board ISS Mui and begun the survey of Weou system.



Imperial Senate and Empress Mirsha debated for quite a long time about this.

But the Empress' word was final; the association status was rejected.

The Mrsshan Empire is willing to have friends, but not to share what is rightfully ours.



Scientist Marr Euzari have found some deeply troubling clues as to the disappearance of civilization on Kalam VI.

He was quickly ordered to continue his research.



Our Military Theory research is rather lackluster, and it is about time we've changed that.

Garra Zarshewani is our leading theorist of army and navy composition and tactics.

Once he's done with researching an asteroid containing traces of First League debris, he will be called to head Society Department.



It seems that religion is quite a dangerous tool, if Kalam VI is any indication.

The Grey Tempest, whatever it is, must've been quite an impression if an entire species willed themselves to suicide.



Finally!

The smuggler asteroid actually contained the coordinates to Fen Habbanis, the capital system of The First League.

What's more important, it is not far; through a previously undetected hyperlane from Fore, on the path between Mirr and Maghama II.

Scientist Rarshan Dershewani was given the control of ISS Ruri and was ordered to investigate the system.



It seems that the Sentinels have been created as some sort of protective idols.

It is theoretized that the primitive Raxycodium were visited by some powerful aliens who left Sentinels behind. The populous planet will prosper thanks to the spiritualistic refuge that the Sentinel Array makes.

Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari, despite her scars and lost limbs, have decided to continue her archeological career, and went on to excavate the ruins on Matar IV. Empress Mirsha personally lauded her brave spirit.



About a decade ago, we slated the Amoeba of the Courus system for eradication.

Today, we have finally put the plan into motion.

We're not unobservant, however, and we know that the Seban race has similar desires for the system.

We will get there first, kill the Amoebas, and claim the system for ourselves.



Albeit we lost two of Mafran Da's, the Amoebas were purged!

And they've left valuable astro-biological debris that could be researched.

Once that is done, the survey of Courus system will be performed, and then we will claim it for the Mrsshan Empire!



And so comes to and end our foray into history of the First League. Advanced mining stations and powerful solar energy capacitors lie dormant and ready for taking.

We have studied their capital world, which once great, became a pitiful ruin.

The linguistic and historical logs found in the ancient bureaucracy's building boosted our society research, unity and Empress Mirsha's political influence.





So much, in fact, that we were able to complete the Expansion Traditions in one go!

In a televised speech, Empress Mirssha Mrsshani have stressed the importance of sciences going hand-in-hand with societal and military progress.

"This is why we thrive, and why the First League fell; they lacked the strength and unity that we have!"

After the speech, the polling organizations showed that Empress Mirsha landed in nearly 96.4% support of Imperial population; exceeding her late father's ranking by nearly 0.8%.

Orders were given to our constructor fleet; once the survey of Fen Habbanis is completed, we will claim it and restore the old mining stations and bureaucratic archives for our own purposes.



A new alien species capable of space-faring have been found.

Strange messages were exchanged with the alien survey ship by the Scientist Marr Euzari and crew of ISS Furo.

Society Department was ordered to translate the encrypted texts.



Our plan to snatch Courus system has rewarded us greatly.

A tropical planet, with plenty of construction space (once we clear the jungles and purge the ocean of kelp), has been found.

An ideal colony for future Mrsshan generations!



A disturbing discovery, this one. Why?

Because as it turns out, the Xvan Lab is located in Mareenius system - two jumps away from Mirr.

How did we manage to miss such an important, advanced structure, is beyond our understanding.



Few days after we translated their language, Ess'Jagon Foundation contacted us, angry that we opened a tomb pod.

We did that - few weeks earlier, ISS Furo opened it and studied the corpse and the pod itself.

Empress Mirsha issued formal apology, to mellow out the Ess'Jagon rulers.



Shortly after studying the Amoeba carcasses, the Courus system awes us once more.

There is a supply of exotic gases to be extracted from one of the gas giants - not to mention traces of L-gate technology!

Truly, Courus system is a bounty for all of our Empire.



It has come to attention of the Imperial Senate that there's quite a lot of religious thingy-majigs being found in the universe.

The Mrsshan have long ago abandoned the worship of the Five Spirits, deeming their existence impossible.

But here we go, finding devotee civilizations and ruins of highly advanced temple complexes with holographic clerics.



Following unpleasant deterioration of diplomacy and mutual closure of borders, Empress Mirsha decided:

The Ess'Jagon are not our friends, or even amicable neighbours, but our Rivals.



It seems that another primitive species are within the grasp of FTL technology.

Unfortunately, Izval system is far away from our territory.

Maybe we will enlighten them, maybe they will voluntarily join our Empire, or perhaps they will be a thorn in our sides.

Who knows - only time will tell.



It is truly time to strengthen the political grip of the Empire on its population.

Our new Domination Traditions will increase the influence of the court as well as put greater emphasis on our rulers' quality and versality.

In the meanwhile, various new organizations will be create to keep the peace - all in the name of the Empire.

Episode 006: Agreements, Agreements Everywhere

The Seban traders must've put a good word for us within the Alliance of Galactic Powers.

The Hulfassa, which oppose our 'violent tendencies', decided that they would like to get some of our artwork.

And likewise! Empress Mirsha personally signed the trade agreement with their ambassador.



Upon entering Gindar system, Scientist Darsshan Euzari made contact with yet another space station.

We wonder who it might be this time?

Society Department was ordered to translate the transmissions coming from the aliens.



While our scientists wanted to either dismantle the computer to pry into its structure, or have it fed our theoretical models...

Curiosity of our Imperial Senate forbade any other interactions. We will see where the computer goes with its calculations.



It has been decided by the Imperial Senate that (after two attempts), Ess'Jaggon Foundation isn't our friend.

ISS Furo and Scientist Marr Euzari were recalled to Jillis system.

That system will be claimed and reinforced with a weapon-laden Starbase. If the Ess'Jaggon fleets attempt something, they will have to deal with Jillis Starbase first.



Our Survey Ships are running out of space to survey, so to speak.

Therefore ISS Ritani and Scientist Rarja Trsshani were sent to the few star systems behind Seban territory.

We have no doubt that the Seban already surveyed and explored these systems, but even some geological data could be of use.




An organization called Curator Order are the owners of the space station in Gindar system.

For two weeks, Imperial Senate has haggled with independent merchants to get enough energy credits.

Curator's scientific data is enlightening, so to speak, and all of our Science Departments are already progressing on issues that took years to just write theoretical models for.




Our technologies, namely Miniature Containment Fields and Ceramo-Metal Armor have been completed.

Be it thanks to our investigations into L-Gates or maybe Curator data, we can directly study L-Gates.

We went with that, plus a study into Hyperlane physics.



It seems that even in religious structures we can gain insights into scientific topics.

We hope that further study of the ruins will bring even more benefits. After all, which Mrsshan wouldn't want a personal memory orb?

More secure and convenient than keeping holo-diaries on your pad!



We don't want another Bureaucratic Center in our midst.

It is also about time we start making Robotic servants for use in industry and everyday life.



Quite a few furs were ruffled when Scientist Darsshan Euzari discovered that Ushakaron I, which looked like a small gas giant, was a dusty, rocky world with an atmosphere.

But that's why we survey stars in the first place, to find out the truth about the Universe!



Awkwardly sitting in the back of the Alliance, the Mandasura seem a bit poorer and neglected when it comes to politics.

We've decided that it is about time they have a bit more active role in the local politics.

A trade agreement was struck betweeen Allied Mandasura Worlds and the Mrsshan Empire.




It was matter of time; the Ess'Jaggon had two unknown species bordering their systems on the other side from us.

One of them has managed to receive our transmissions and translate our language.

The Xaploan Union is very scientific in its focus, and so Empress Mirsha sent one of our envoys, Darsshan Purtani, to foster an amicable relationship with them.




It didn't require lots of time for the Xaploan to enter agreements with us.

The Non-Aggression Pact should make the accursed Ess'Jaggon worry a little bit.

Meanwhile, our Science Departments will surely benefit from exchange of ideas with their Xaploan counterparts.



More primitives were found, this time in Witzen system, and slightly less developed than our usual finds.

Unfrotunately, Witzen system is even further away from our space than Izval system.



It seems that our vast diplomatic network, allowing such species as Mandasurans communicate with Xalpoans on other side of Galaxy stirred an idea.

That idea being creation of a Galactic Community, where our issues could be resolved diplomatically.

Imperial Senate was suspicious of the idea, but Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has personally agreed for Mrsshan Empire to become a member.



Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari sent a report from the holo-temple site.

She managed to extract data from some of the confession orbs.

We're hoping for even more in the future!



Even in her old age, Empress Mirssha Mrsshani is developing her talents and interests.

No doubt influenced by her brother Mrsshan's architectural hobbies, she also developed a knack for planning and settlement development.

Truly, our Empire is blessed with high quality of their monarchs!



It seems that Drone-controlled territory is much larger than we thought; this is Guram system, at the edge of Seban territory.

Between it, and the Condorra system, the centre of Drone activity, there's 3 hyperlane jumps.

Scientist Rarja Trsshani will skirt the systems from Guram's side, and Scientist Marr Euzari will do the same from Trabalore system onwards.

Their charting should give us a better estimate as for the power of the Drones. These are a major navigational hazard, and, sooner or later, we will have to dismantle them - by force.



Some factions within Imperial Senate have voiced their suspicion about this incident - Bintu system is far away from Seban space, and even behind Ess'Jagon territory.

What was this mineral transport doing so far from its home stars? We do not know, nor we know what kind of technology or anomaly got it there.

Cutting all speculations, Empress Mirsha declared that the report is sent to the Seban, so that they may retrieve it.

Few days later, Seban ambassador passed a letter of gratitude from his government to the Mrsshan people.



Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari has made a breakthrough; apparently, the memories of amnesiac priestess contained coordinates to some other ancient site!

Just half a year ago we've started claiming the stars near-side Matar, with Tolubos system being claimed just few weeks ago.

To find out what reall Ix Betelen is, Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari was ordered to excavate the site mentioned in priestess' memory logs.

Episode 007: On the Floor of the Galactic Senate

Thanks to the creation of Galactic Community, we can meet with two more space-faring species.

The first is Vhemm Combine, a rather friendly MegaCorp sitting just above the Xalpoans' territories.

Hierarchy of Bruvas is a warlike dictatorship. Although we share similar values, they're on the far side of Alliance's domain.



Empress Mirsha Mrsshani, in her holovid speech to the Galactic Community, stressed the need for mutual assistance against pirates, tyrants and omnicidal maniacs alike.

Our diplomats thus presented the very first Resolution, 'The Readied Shield', against such threats.



Thanks to our diplomatic channels open, we learn that there's yet another civilization out there, the Bakturians.

Unfortunately, their homeworld is at verge of annihilation.

We will try to offer them a migration treaty, if only to save some of their brighter minds and cultural heritage from destruction.



And here comes formal reward for getting them transporter info!

We even get a favor out of them for use in Galactic Community, how nice.

We've received a report from ISS Ritani commanded by Scientist Rarja Trsshani; they've managed to clear the Guram system and arrived in Belgium, a system free of drones.

Meanwhile, ISS Furo, led by Scientist Marr Euzari, is skirting the Trabalore system to meet up with ISS Ritani on the other side.



We receive news from Bakturians that there's yet another species who learned of our existence via the Community.

Enter Lyrite Mercantile Union, another MegaCorp. Compared to the Vhemm, they seem a bit less pleasant to deal with.



Via skillful political maneuvering, we've managed to get our Resolution pushed to the highest priority.

Once that comes to pass, we will also support Comforting the Fallen, Tiyanki Conservation Act and Buzzword Standarization.



One Military Theory tech completed, another is slated for research.




Our offices on Maghama II have been expanded, giving us a surplus Administrative Capacity.

How to better spend it than to colonize new worlds?

Fen Habbanis III, the old capital of First League, will be re-populated. Furthermore one of the tropical worlds near Seban territory will also be colonized.



After much debate, and not finding absolutely any other use for the Nanites, the Imperial Senate decided to give them to our Science Departments.

This will allow them to perform experiments on scales that were never considered before.



It seems that the Ix Belen station holds some very dark secrets, an a cautionary tale about messing with one's memories.

Meanwhile, we receive news that Ess'Jaggon Foundation is no longer our rival; turns out they are fighting a losing war against Vhemm Combine, one they themselves started.



A report arrived from Scientist Marsshan Gerrari; it seems that the sensors on board ISS Mui are detecting a hyperlane passage through the chartered cluster!

Assuming our starmaps are correct, that particular hyperlane might be actually the connector to remainder of near-Core stars, and clusters further away.

If that's true, our survey ships will not be obstructed by neither Alliance space nor the closed borders of Ess'Jagon!



Imperial Senate's militaristic faction, First Strike Legion, has successfully persuaded the remainder of the Senate, and Empress Mirsha, that we need to expand our space forces.

The 2nd Imperial Fleet will become a reality; based in Kajam system, far from Sha'Mar and close to Ess'Jagon, it will keep the peace in the northern starzones.



And speaking of our space forces; it's about time we've began searching for improvements on our ships.

For example, we could use the spare power from our fusion generators on better shielding.



The Senate of Galactic Community has inaugurated its very first Session!

Not only our Readied Shield is being processed, it seems to have a massive support; only the pacifist Hulfassa, leaders of Alliance of Galactic Powers, is abstaining.

And nobody is opposing our proposal.



Unbeknowst to the public, the Imperial Senate had a constructor ship sent earlier than proposed to restore the ancient shipyard in Rippigaur system.

Although the shipyard broke down soon after, it produced this marvelous warship of tremendous power.

It has been decided that it will become part of the 1st Imperial Fleet; two Mafran Da-class corvettes were transferred to instead join the 2nd Imperial Fleet at Kajam.



Bad news come from the last system behind the Drones' core world.

It seems that Shuckon system, the last one that was slated to be surveyed, is also held by them.

Scientists Marr Euzari and Rarja Trsshani were ordered to complete their work, meet at Belgium system, and then leave the Drone-occupied territories.

They will be then sent to the star systems beyond Seban space, perhaps finding paths into uncharted star clusters.



Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has declared that a new office of Colonial Viceroys will be created.

These aides to our Governors will be the intermediates between the colonies, the Governors, and our Imperial Senate.



With great sadness the report of death of Scientist Rsshan Tarjani was received by the Senate.

His place as the Head of the Department of Engineering Sciences was taken by a young Material specialist, Barr Darshani.



With the 2nd Imperial Fleet now having actual ships within it, there was a debate on who should lead it.

Ultimately the honor befell the youngest of candidates, Mrsshan Marsshani, known for his skills in holding the ground. Or rather, space.




It was a good idea to have the protege of Rarja Trsshani transferred to Sha'Mar!

Marsshan Marsshani is a genius with expertise in Industrial technologies.

He has been immediately promoted to the position of Head of Engineering Sciences.



Another of our bright minds have been extinguished.

The elderly Marr Euzari has died in his sleep while ISS Furo was silently traversing Guram system.

Barr Darshari has taken over the command of the ship, en route to continue the planned charter of systems beyond Seban territory.



Scientist Farshiwa Gerrari has managed to enter the inner core of Memorex and find a memory orb.

All pieces of investigation so far seem to indicate that the mad priestess of holo-temple of Matar system was here.

We might be close to the end of this sad story.



Our Military Theory studies have been finished, and its time to expand our bureaucratic machine once more.

With near real-time infromation sharing across systems, we can manage our territory a tiny bit better.



L-Gate Insight discovered by the Engineering Department!

As it is lagging a bit behind other Departments, its time we invest in some research equipment, too.

Month later, we get Improved Deflectors; the Physics Department was then tasked with development of AI-Controlled Colony Ships.



Brave Farshiwa Gerrari is no more; the old wounds she received during Sentinel excavations were too much for her body to handle.

Her place was taken by few years younger Usshria Rerrshani (a rare family name and even rarer first name these days) to continue the Ix Belen's excavation.

Episode 008: The Universe; Horrors and Marvels

Shortly before we lost contact with ISS Mui and Scientist Marsshan Gerrari, we received a priority signal from the ship.

It described a truly eldritch being 'partially existing' within the vicinity of Gathri Maelstrom.

After that transmissions ceased. Scientist Darsshan Euzari and crew of ISS Serri, surveying nearby Gozam system, have been ordered to scan for any traces of ISS Mui.



After ten days' search for any signal from ISS Mui, we have come to conclusion that ISS Mui has been destroyed.

Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has declared the Gathri Maelstrom a restricted area, not to be entered by anyone until the restriction is lifted.

Memorial proceedings on Mirr have begun to commemorate the tragically lost crew of ISS Mui and the wise Scientist, Marsshan Gerrari.



Speaking of Gozam system, it seems that one of the planets is harboring pre-sapient life.

It seems to be the same case as with the insectoids on the irradiated wasteland of Iflore II - just in a more pleasant environment.



Recent discoveries of things and beliefs beyond our own, as well as exchange of treatrises with the Seban and others from Alliance of Galactic Powers has stirred something within Empire's citizens.

That thing being 'spiritualism'. Not many support the Council of Pious Traditionalists, but this minority is very vocal.

Clinging to superstition is in the way of progress, and while the Senate is not willing to outlaw the party, there's certain fear that it might gain more traction in the future.



A great celebration is hosted on the capital planet of Mirr!

Empress Mirsha Mrsshani has just celebrated the end of her 40th year of rule, and few weeks later, she has her father, late Emperor Dershewan.

Mrsshani and Raxycodium everywhere enjoy social welfare benefits and free foodstuffs as the major cities exhibit grandiose parades.

In holographic speech to the populace, Empress Mirsha thanked for continuous support and pledged to continue guiding Mrsshan Empire into strong, prosperous future.



And now from xenopolitical news:

The long war between Ess'Jaggon Foundation and Xaploan Union has been concluded.

The Ess'Jaggon were humilitated for their aggressive posturing. Imperial Senate, on behalf of Empress Mirssha, has sent the Xaploan government a congratulatory message.




By the order of the Empress, we shall colonize few more of worlds available for us.

This time, the Raxycodium gets Paraja, once known as Wouu IIa - meanwhile, Mrsshani pioneers will create a new settlement, Dessha, on Courus III.

These two worlds have plenty of space and lots of resources to offer our Empire.



The Readied Shield resolution have been passed through the Galactic Senate!

This is a clear sign of Mrsshani political superiority in xenopolitics.

It seems that next on agenda will be creation of a 'Galactic Market', and we hope we can wrest control over it.

But that's a concern for the future.



After many, MANY, months of carefully pieceing together the memory orb data, Scientist Usshria Rerrshani managed to pry into few of the earlier memories.

The work is not complete; the orb's storage system is highly delicate and quite damaged.

Usshria Rerrshani will report the moment she and her crew will be able to decipher more of Dr.Saariah's memories.



Curses, more of the mining drones. They seem to populate quite a few system.

Scientist Rarja Trsshani was ordered to find some other star to survey.



We're losing so many intellectuals lately!

The young Barsshia Qardani have replaced Darsshan Euzari as the captain of ISS Serri.

She will take the ship and its crew and continue Darsshan's mission of survey and exploration.



Our theory has found a confirmation in the sensor data!

The hyperlanes behind Seban territory and south of Ess'Jagon space do connect a previously uncharted cluster of stars with the systems further around the Core.

Now begins the race - the Seban science ships have been seen at least three times already, so there's no doubt they have chartered at least few systems there.




The Imperial Senate have passed the notion of construction of a centralized, advanced Military Academy complex.

It will stand on Mirr, where the recruits, both in officer and soldier ranks, will be taught the newest military theories and undergo rigorous training.

In the same time, our Physics department finished programming the colony ship AIs.

Its about time our Energy technologies get improved, too. We're rather short on energy credits as of late, yet we have so much to do and build!



Finally, the Fen Habbanis III colony have been kick-started!

There's absolutely insane amounts of rubble to be shifted, areas to be reclaimed, and ruins to be dismantled.

It might take generations before we will truly master the entirety of the planet, but. The rewards are totally worth the investment!



A priority alert was received by the Imperial Senate this morning.

Some sort of 'crystalline entity' has emerged from the Mirzam Wormhole. Seemingly sapient, our Society Department was told to investigate its transmissions.

The 1st Imperial Fleet was put on alert and moved to Maghama Spaceport. If the crystal thingy shows any sign of hostility toward Mirzam Outpost, it will be blasted into stellar dust.



The Crystalline Entities do not seem to be belligerent on the first glance.

This has caused Empress Mirsha to push forward the studies of the crystals and the Drones onto schedules of our Physics and Engineering departments, respectively.

They should take about 1.5 year each, if no delay occurs of course.



Colonial Bureaucracy is the way to go; our Empire grows with each district built and each planet colonized.

Scientist Garra Zarshewani has been heard grumbling that he 'did not sign for this' and that he is 'a researcher, not bureaucrat', but Empress' decisions are inviolable.



And speaking of colonial bureaucracy - the Meridssha Colony is too far from Mirr to be controlled directly, and a new Sector was thus created.

It will also encompass Courus III and shall be governed by our thrusted Barr Purtani.

Meanwhile, the central Sector falls into jurisdiction of young administrator, Darja Mrsshani. Her skills will boost our Administrative Capacity.



Galactic Senate has gathered once again to pass a resolution.

It doesn't seem that Galactic Market, proposed by Vhemm Combine, will have any trouble getting through.



After nearly a year of studying Thradd II wasteland, we've come to this.

Improved Energy Initiative unfortunately costs a whole 200 Influence points, which is a bit too much.

And that's a pity, because it is a very useful political campaign, boosting Industry and Materials speed and cutting down on Consumer Goods upkeep.



It seems that Seban survey ships actually didn't get that far.

We even manage to get some interesting things to explore just 'around the corner'.

The Olfactory Study project will be pursued by Scientist Barr Darshari and crew of ISS Furo as soon as they survey the system.



It seems that the Thradd system is a cradle of various forms of life!

Scientist Barsshia Qadrani is almost done with the system's survey, so this oceanographic study shouldn't take long.



The Crystalline Entities have proven useful to us in certain way.

That way however does not sit well with the Militarists, who complained that Empress Mirsha is not sticking to the 'right' way and is keeping all the nice techs away from the spacefleets.

Some politicians were recorded calling her 'weak', and thus have been arrested and charged with breaching the lese majesty laws. Their fur shaving punishments will be broadcast publicly on Channel Fuur.




It has been decided that we shall go 'all out' with our colonization project. Two more worlds are to be settled.

Eitheen IIa will become primarily Raxycodium colony called 'Raxisshurga'. In the same time, the relic world of Cidar, where Rubricator is reputedly hidden, will be populated by Mrsshan.



As it turns out, the automated Mining Drones have certain quirks that can be exploited.

Empress Mirsha decided that, just like Amoebas, they're nothing more but navigational hazard that needs to be removed.



Architecture and development of colonies seem to weigh heavily on Empress Mirsha's mind.

In accord with Crown Prince Mrsshan's own work, she has decided to announce a reform of district planning and urbanization of colonial environs.

This should allow for more living space in the cities, and thus, greater population capacity and growth.



And finally, with Supersolid Materials out of the way, we can concentrate on this technology.

It will allow us to mine Rare Crystals. They're mostly used for construction of higher-tier Bureaucratic buildings and Consumer Good factories.

As you can imagine, both of these are our priority at the moment.



The Thradd system awes us once more. Not only there is life in the oceans of Thradd V, there is also a particle now called 'Living Metal' underneath.

However, we also received news that Scientist Barsshia Qardani had trouble wrapping her fur around the concept.

It seems that her skills have plateau'd. Perhaps she is not cut for such a job after all.



Motes. Motes can be used in both military and culinary industries!

There are three systems that we own that have tiny sources of Volatile Motes. Might as well begin exploiting them.

It seems that our friends, the Seban, have helped one of the Early Space Age primitives develop FTL technology!

Some within Imperial Senate find it hilarious that, whilst Seban are peaceful xenophiles, the Kaan-Visaam are fiercely authoritarian and militarist in nature.



In the past, our scientists have found extremophile bacteria, first on wastelands, then tomb worlds, then even airless, cold space.

But its first time we find some living in close proximity of lava and extremely high temperatures.



In a surprising political move, Crown Prince Mrsshan Mrsshani has formed together a niche and minority faction in Imperial Senate.

The 'Mrsshan Supremacy Front' is preaching that the Mrsshan can just as well stay strong alone than by doing diplomacy with xenos. Such a xenophobic stance, fronted by a Crown Prince no less, has shocked quite few within our populace.

There was no commentary from Empress Mirsha on the topic.



Now that's something new! We've found archives of a exploration team of some other species.

While selling them away would give us much needed credits and goods, Empress Mirsha, a vivid collector of artifacts and xenophile supporter, has ordered them moved to Mirr.

The Galactic Senate has agreed to create the Galactic Market!

We would nominate our home planet, Mirr, but it costs 1000 energy credits and 150 political influence.

Meanwhile, we finally find the ways to handle the Volatile Motes! There are several stars within Mrsshan space that have sources of these hyper-explosive granules, and so our constructor ships were sent to build some Mote Traps.

Darsshan Dershewani of the Physics Department was then ordered to reform our energy policies. We might be producing tons of minerals and crafts, but we're lacking in pure cash production.



Out of several recent deaths, Rarsshan Dershewani is the most notable one.

He was that paranoid, but brilliant scientist that helped mold our early technological agencies.

He shall be missed, and his funeral proceedings were attended by the elderly Empress Mirssha herself.



We can now make use of Rare Crystals as well!

Albeit we do not have any asteroids to mine for them, the ruined mining areas on Fen Habbanis III and Cirssha colony (home of Rubricator) have several Rare Crystal mines (besides Volatile Motes and Exotic Gases, too).

We will begin exploitation of these resources as soon as possible.



There are clear signs that the Simtinasca civilization have taken the wrong option during their own Five Day War, and destroyed itself with atomic weapons.

Our homeworld, Mirr, would probably look like that today if not for the solution to the crisis of the past century.

At least this means we can try to find out what went wrong.



It took us a dozen of years or so, but finally we are ruling over the Izval system!

That means we can put down an observation post over Izval III and research the species living down on that planet.

Imperial Senate is in session, and second-hand talk seems to indicate that the Senate is debating what course of action we should take.



There is some confusion amongst less informed circles of Mrsshan society.

What have happened? Suddenly Empress Mirsha and the Imperial Senate announced that Avarrian species of Izval III were incorporated into our Empire.

Our media outlets seem to be clueless as well. Still, the Avarrians are now subjects of the Empress, and they are quite happy to play the part

Development of their planet has begun in earnest, and a new sector was created. Mursshaja Mrsshani, a 53 years old Mistress of Law, has been chosen as its Governor.

And it's about time we start working on our energy weapons. We've been neglecting this field of applied physics for way too long.



An extremely powerful and unbelievably advanced species have contacted us when Rarja Trsshani and ISS Ritani received their signals.

They're an ancient spiritual order. They are content to let us be, as long as we do not 'desecrate their holy worlds', whichever they might be.

That is something that we can tolerate.

It seems that the political division in the Imperial Senate finds a reflection in the virgin soils of our colonies!

What was suspected from the start was just confirmed in report by Usshria Rersshani.

They will now concentrate less on the ruins and more on the aurora borealis' repeating patterns.




Empress Mirsha, shortly after ending of celebrations of her 50th year of rule, has announced creation of Judgement Corps Ministry.

They will help keep the peace in our multi-species, spread-out Empire. An evil, but necessary one.

Engineering Department finishes Assembly Pattern standard about the same time. They shall now develop the means to extract and store Exotic Gases.



Despite her 'arrested development', Barsshia Qardani has developed a peculiar expertise in Statecraft!

That and her New World expertise, in which she graduated, make her top notch candidate for our Society Department.

Elderly Garrsha Zarshewani stepped down from her post as head of the Department, but refused to man the captain's chair of ISS Serri.

The honor was given to one of his former pupils, Gurrshia Merrshani, who was very eager to explore the stars.




Our Science Ministry is very, very lucky nowadays, huh?

Barr Darshari was promoted to the position of the Head of Engineering Department.

Marsshan Marsshani, who led the Department before, decided to go explore the stars as the new captain of ISS Furo.

Simtinasca excavations and cleaning up of Arcologies on Fen Habbanis III have allowed us to finally piece together the Secrets of First League.

Success of the Society Department in handling the Migrating Forests have silenced the nay-sayers who wanted to burn the trees.

Obituaries seem to be posted every few weeks nowadays.

It mostly relates to our elderly cadre of Scientists.



The Galactic Market has been founded!

Unfortunately, Mrsshan government failed to get enough influence and credits to put it on one of our worlds.

It's a pity, but also something we can learn to live with.



The moment General Azarr Darshari dies, the Ess'Jaggon lay claim to another system.

The birds across the borders are showing off their feathers of jealousy and greed.



We finally cracked the mystery of the Simtinasca IV!

Whilst the satellites failed at their task, we can still learn a lot of them.



The research on UV Lasers has been completed!

We're now going to pursue applications of the Quantum Theory to boost our understanding of physics.



In an astoundingly short amount of time, Imperial Starfleet Design Bureau came up with the design of Mafuz corvette.

The recently developed UV laser is the center-piece of its armament.

Unlike Mafran-class corvettes, Mafuz design sacrifices some shield power for much thicker and resilient armor and hull structure.

Imperial Senate decided that, because we're lacking in Alloy acquisition and production, 5 of these new-generation corvettes will be built for 2nd Imperial Fleet stationed at Kajam.

In few years' time, we should have enough material to upgrade the existing Mafran Da-class corvettes, to.



A very peculiar civilization has been found in the Sol system!

A greatly interesting substance has been found in Haram system - living metal!

Immediately from the ashes of the old political factionism arose new supremacist part - Mrsshan Unity Bloc, headed by Governess Darja Mrsshani.



Out of all leaders who led Mrsshan Empire into the stars, the loss of Admiral Zarshia Arsshani feels the heaviest.

And now, one of the few remaining 'old-era leaders' is the Empress herself.

Anxiety builds within the populace - she led us for fifty-some years, and many wish she could do so for fifty more.

It has came to note of Imperial Senate that some workplaces aren't operating at efficiency it would be wanted of them.

The galactic law proposed by Ess'Jaggon Foundation was point of contention in Imperial Senate.

Many saw siding with Ess'Jaggon as insult to our national pride, others an opportunity to gain greater influence within Galactic Community.

Empress Mirsha herself weighted in, first time in a while, and directed our envoys in the Communtiy to support the notion.

Few weeks later, another obituary saddens the Mrsshani: Scientist Garra Zarshewani has died in his sleep.



Finally, we've completed our studies of Exotic Gases, and can extract them!

We have several deposits of these gases thorough the Empire, and our Constructor ships were ordered to build mining stations.

Imperial Starfleet has triumphed over the Ministry of Economy, and was given the priority of assigning Engineering topic this time.

We need bigger, stronger ships. Corvettes just don't cut it as a flagship for our talented Admirals.

Not long afterwards, our Physics Department finishes the Quantum Theory Application Project, and pursues some military computer hardware (Auxiliary Fire-Control) studies.



Our amicable galactic neighbours, Xaplo Union, has declared war on Ess'Jaggon Foundation!

Imperial Senate, on behalf of Empress Mirsha, has sent the Xaplo government a letter praising their bravery.



In a holo-vid speech to the Imperial population, Crown Prince Mrsshan Mrsshani personally announced the passing of Empress Mirsha at the age of 88.

She has governed over period of unprecedented technological and territorial growth of our species, and her funeral procession will be led by the newly enthroned Emperor Mrsshan Mrsshani himself.

Hundred of thousands of Mrsshan females meowed and shaved their whiskers in traditional sign of mourning.

What was most surprising that even some male politicians followed suit, which is very unorthodox for members of the dead's opposite gender. They've done it out of pure admiration for the late Empress.

Truly, she was a fursona on a scale that we might not see again for decades, if not centuries.



To surprise of no one, Imperial Household Agency announced that granddaughter of Emperor Mrsshan, Mrsshania, will be Crown Princess and the Heir to the throne of Mrsshan Empire.

Mrsshania has outlived her father, Azarr, who died several years prior and was Mrsshan's only child.

There are some worries amongst political circles, because Crown Princess is very young and has just recently finished her polytechnical studies in astro-architecture and galactic economics, while Emperor Mrsshan is already of very advanced age.



In one of his very first Edicts, Emperor Mrsshan has declared that a new colony will be settled in Obiscyiq system.

Named 'Zarr-Mirssha', the 'Palace of Mirsha', it will be monument to the glories of late Empress.



The Living State project is completed, enhancing political Influence of the Throne.

Now it is time to further concentrate on modernization of our fleet.

One of the issues is our slow refit speeds, which we will fix with Refit Standards reform!



This is a very, very strange clock.

Curiosity is our trait, and our engineers have left a monitoring probe near the mechanism.

Hopefully, whatever it is counting down to, will be captured by our cameras.



Scientist Darsshan Dershewani has died. That was the last of the 'old-era' Leaders we had. The ones we have now are all raised to their positions after Empress Mirsha was enthroned.

The position as Head of Physics Department was given to Scientist Gursshia Mershani, who has built her own, simple AI assistant.

Her place as the Captain of ISS Furo was awarded to a young Computer Sciences graduate, Qarshja Marsshani, who was ordered to continue where Gursshia left off with the survey of Nihal system.



Scientist Gursshia Mershani is a female of many hobbies and pursuits, and believes that the science behind Cold Fusion - fusion process that is done at very low temperatures compared to usual - is within our grasp.

Emperor Mrsshan Mrsshani has issued an Edict to give her priviledge of leading the team tasked with development of Cold Fusion reactor.

If they succeed, our Starships will benefit greatly from the, as will our energy economy.
