Following on from the discussion on Discord, I drafted an alternative version of the proposal.

The undersigned 4 companies agree to pool their resources for the purpose of founding the settlement of Prosperity landing on Bootstrap. Sharklan Enterprises and Rendili Heavy Industries will contribute 3 Credits each, whilst SummiTech LLC and Imaginary Productions will contribute 2 Credits and the information from their Labrador Sweeps to this venture. Each party will receive 30 shares, for a total of 120. The Settlement location will be determined on receipt of the Labrador Sweep results. All decisions regarding this settlement (including landing location) will be taken with a majority vote of 60% of the shares.

50% of all profits produced by the Settlement will be held by the joint venture. The other 50% will be split evenly by shares amongst the shareholders.

The undersigned companies agree to place a deep scan and a colony at 024.037 (island to the west of the westernmost continent), regardless of the former's results. This is expected to produce immediately accessible subterranean resources and peril, as well as a lovely view of the surrounding coastal jungles.

Each credit contributed to the initial founding provides 1 Share out of 12 Shares total. Shares are proportionate measures of voting power and resource allotment. All decisions about colony activity may be made with a simple majority vote. Until voted otherwise, the colony will accrue resources until it has 12 of them, then distribute one to each Share. Further decisions about commerce and labor allocation must be handled via vote.

Rather than fully invest in settlements, "Scanner" Scanlon's Non-Scam Scans will operate through a scan-heavy model, scanning for resource-rich areas on the planet and offering information on them for a mere small portion of the labor of settlements in these areas. However, understanding that capital is scarce in these exciting but harsh new times, it will at this moment earmark a portion its capital for a more traditional settlement endeavor as well.
