The contract is written only for five players, however. We're not taking a sixth player at present since we don't want to over-concentrate resources.
Ah ya ninja'd my edit. Unfortunate. I noticed after my original post

The following is the proposal of Vixen Extrasolar Commerce

Quote from: Ventura Settlment
The undersigned companies agree to pool their resources for the purpose of founding the settlement of Ventura on Bootstrap.

The settlement ownership shall be divided in 100 shares and each company will acquire 20 of those, contributing 3 credits to the effort. The money is to be used in such a way: 3 credits for labrador scans on a promising area, 10 credits for the settlement itself. The remaining 2 credits are invested directly into the joint fund of the settlement to be disbursed by the vote of the shareholders as below. Earnings are deposited into the joint fund for disbursal by vote.

Information, assets, or territory acquired by means funded through this venture is private property of the share (and visible to all shareholders) unless the shareholders vote in favor of releasing it. The information from our first scans, of locations 081:036, 087:033, and 086:036, will be released immediately.

Decisions regarding the settlement and its assets will be taken with a majority vote of 60% of the shares.

I see that Ventura has 9/10 credits towards it. Would you all be willing to take 1 of my credits in exchange for 6 shares?

Ventura is still looking for 15 credits total, so there's room.

Speaking of which, fiiiiiiiine. If nobody likes my secret volcano island lair, I'll just throw in with a starter settlement for now. :(

The Ventura Settlement is 63 Credits away from being fully funded at this time. A total of 15 Credits divided among 5 companies is how the contract will function.

Why not offer 3 credits for equal partnership? You guys could spend the extra two credits next turn to buy equipment, or now to do some preliminary scans for potential settlement sites.

Actually, would those in the Ventura Enterprise be interested in removing the 2 credits set aside, and doing a Bloodhound Scan?

I'd be in favor of deep scanning a rocky area we already intend to colonize and opposed to anything else. Remember that it's 20% of the value of an entire colony, so it's gotta have a guaranteed 20% boost to colony productivity or equivalent statistical gain to pay for itself. I suspect in most cases that will be unlikely, especially if it's overlapping with the shallow scan.

Launch a Laborator Sweep at 125.069. (The only 2-tile volcanic island) Release data publicly.
If such things can be pre-bought, buy a Haz-Rec team and keep it in reserve.

This game is likely to be almost entirely cooperative much like the other "Risky Ventures" game that started recently.
