Is the existence of society or family a premise of this idea?

Oh. Is it Mark Twain?
That's right.

You know I don't really think of him as a "comedian". To me a comedian is a performer! Oh well.

He performed quite a lot actually. Officially what he did was called "lectures", but Wikipedia assures me it was comparable to modern "standup".

I tried to play chess but two of my opponents were playing competitive checkers as a third person walked in with Game of Thrones in hand confused cause they thought this was the book club.

Is it number (i.e. the ability to distinguish between different amounts of something)?

Nope

Is the existence of society or family a premise of this idea?

I would say they are related.

Yeah, that seems arguable. His lectures involved a lot of jokes. I seem to recall "The Awful German Language" started as one, didn't it?

Anyway, is it DEATH?

Somebody who writes comedy books is a comedian, in my opinion.

Is it a type of relationship?

Yes in that it requires multiple people.

It is not DEATH nor death nor Death.

Somebody who writes comedy books is a comedian, in my opinion.

Yes.

I didn't mean a specific death.

Does it have a traditional personification, such as as a horseman of the apocalypse?

Is it usually beneficial to all the parties involved?

BTW Mark Twain most of the time had a Borat-style moustache. Maybe moustache is not beard?

A moustache is not a beard, no. It's like a beard's hat.

It has one, but I didn't know about it until I just looked it up.

Yes.

(Generally, beard refers to hair on the jaw/chin/cheeks. "Facial hair" would include the moustache.)

Does it definitionally involve more than one person, as opposed to being something one person could in principle do (possibly with a lot of work)?
