Arcane Mechsuit Testing

Greetings, inmates.

Thank you for volunteering for the mandatory HellCorp Inmate Testing Program. Please step into the mechsuit in front of you, and use it to enter the testing chamber.

Thank you.

The aim of this test is to learn about the offensive capabilities of the arcane mechsuits recently recovered by the HellCorp Ultraplanar Retrieval Team. The last survivor will have up to two years removed from their sentence.

You have probably noticed the in-mech computer. This device allows use to change the settings on the modules making up your mech. Some experimentation with these settings may be necessary to maximise your combat efficiency.

You may now start killing one another.

Ok then. Egan, TricMagic, Nirur, Draignean, Devastator, and QuestorHank are all in. King Zultan and Coolrune are in the waitlist, but that'll have to wait for another game, if there is one.

You stomp down a featureless corridor into a large, well-lit circular room, with concrete walls and floor, and a high ceiling. Slabs of concrete slide into place behind you, sealing you in.

Five other inmates in identical suits of power armour stand around the room. Each suit is about four metres tall. The core each inmate sits in is made of dull grey metal, the surface scored and pitted with tiny scrapes, and resembles a featureless torso and head. At first, each mechsuit appears squat but humanoid, the arms and legs made out of the same metal as the core. Then everyone starts changing their module settings.

Name: Nyoom
Description: A tiny girl with blue hair. Seems to be irrepressibly active and finds negative emotion to be literally impossible, even in the face of pain.

Spoiler: suit (click to show/hide)

Your right arm morphs into an organic, chitin-covered gland, which begins to dribble a thin trail of clear acid, drops eating away at the concrete. Your left arm turns into an outsize crossbow, bolts already loaded.

Your legs turn into a pair of wooden poles or staffs covered in occult symbols.

Magic missile module charged and ready to fire.
Magic missile module charged and ready to fire.

You can just about balance on the two staffs.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Your right arm turns into a long, powerful giraffe leg, sticking out absurdly from your metal torso. Your left arm stays the same shape, but turns to wood.

Your right leg turns into a metal tank, full to the brim with toxic gas, attached to a long nozzle. Your left leg turns into a sophisticated looking device covered in hard plastic and flashing LEDs.

Automatic wall creator module charged and ready.

You fall flat on your front, as neither of those is something you can really stand on, before standing up unsteadily on the giraffe leg and wooden hand, upside down.

Name: Inmate 7025144
Description: He once worked as a grunt on a retriever team. He violated the terms of his contract and caused irreparable harm to the company by discussing mission critical classified data while off-duty in a bar. For such a heinous crimes he will never be freed, and so his name has been stripped from him, along with all possessions and legal family ties.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Your right arm turns to wood. Your left arm turns into an extremely long stilt.

Your right leg morphs into a single large sphere, made out of some kind of futuristic alloy, covered in intricate wiring. Your left leg turns into some kind of jet engine on the end of a short metal stalk.

Anti-gravity shield generator charged and ready.
Propulsion jet charged and ready.

You fall over, because there's really no way to balance on any combination of those modules. On the bright side, flying shouldn't be too difficult.

Name: R*Bert
Description: Much like Q*Bert, except considerably upgraded. Currently doing time for insider trading of Disney Copyright material.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Your right arm doesn't change, so it's still a large metal arm. Your left arm morphs into a gigantic insect sting, filled with venom. Your right foot is replaced with the barrel of a gatling gun. Your left foot is replaced with a thin metal tube.

Monatomic blade generator charged and ready.

You can just about balance on your legs and arm.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Your right hand turns into a metal cube containing a powerful electromagnet. Your left arm turns into a long giraffe limb, just like Bloodaxe's.

Your right leg is replaced with a large metal cylinder, the edges glowing purple. Your left leg turns into a mounted watercannon.

Teleportation module charged and ready.

You fall over, and don't really have enough stable limbs to stand up on.

Name: Philip

Spoiler: mech (click to show/hide)
Your right arm turns into a venom-filled stinger. Your left arm stays the same - outsized metal humanoid arm.

Your right leg turns into a futuristic looking gun. Your left leg turns into an incredibly sharp katana on the end of a slim, multi-jointed limb, made from a variety of modern steel alloys.

Laser cannon charged and ready.

You can't stand up with these modules. Any kind of movement is going to be difficult.

Which may be a problem, looking at the variety of ranged modules the mechs around you are wielding.
