"I see." The plane girl nodded. "Unfortunate to hear about your condition, but it's good to know your technical skills are intact. I suppose I'll be trusting you as the closest thing to a maintenance officer present." She watched him work with VerTwo with an entirely inadequate attempt to conceal her interest and a certain amount of intimidation at the advanced automaton. She continued to speak while he put the finishing touches on her frame. "I've taken the liberty of resupplying with the missile systems this facility had on-hand." Warden pressed her lips into a line for a moment, electing to gloss over the software calling her technology woefully outdated. "However, I still need a variety of other materials to keep in peak fighting condition."

Finishing up with the safety course, Henry nods to himself, satisfied. "Hm, I think that's a good place to end on for today.... Hey Rose, do you think if we made name tags for while people are here, it'd get around the face thing?" Henry said, looking to the huntress curiously.

"I think it could work as long as we're here, but out there, in combat, I couldn't even see what clothes people were wearing.  Griffon's dragon looked the same as you, and Stonebeard.  Skye said something about adrenaline-triggered exacerbation of the pre-existing condition?" Rose explains to Henry.

-------------------------------------------------------

Stonebeard sighs, closing up VerTwo and policing his tools.  "So that's where they went.  I...  See.  You're Chair Force, aren't you.  Well, I'll try not ta hold it against yah too much, since we're all in the same boat now, and I ain't seen too many void missions since I joined up with this lot.  I've got a bit of supplies stockpiled, but if ya want the good stuff you're gonna have to go out and bring it back yourself.  If ya ain't got the cargo space in whatever toothpick of a bird you're flying I'm pretty sure I got a shipping container somewhere I could bolt to the underside for some extra storage."

Henry nods. "I didn't think they would. In fact... you should probably stay out of combat in general with this condition.... Uh, Anyway, I'll try to get some nametags by the next time I visit." Henry scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, trying to steer away from the probably still open wound there.

"Bolt a what to my underside?" The third member of Warden Squadron spoke with indignation and no small amount of horror; the woman drew back defensively, as if he were about to set about the task at once. The additional strike to her ego, however, prompted her to restart her offensive. "I'm not some lumbering cargo jet. And I think being able to handle collisions with reinforced steel decks in rough seas without breaking a sweat makes me a bit more than a 'toothpick,' too." She swept her hair back on one side with a sharp, irritable gesture, taking an equally swift breath at the same time. "If I were you, I wouldn't be so cavalier about the prospect of leaving your fighter support without fuel and ammunition."

The machine's skull shaped head jerks a little after Stonebeard closes its frame up, a familiar red glow returning to its eyes as it lets out a slightly less patchy, "Processing." The machine slowly shifts its limbs around, perhaps to test if the repairs had affected its range of movement, before it slowly stands up to its full height once more. "Repairs incomplete, but acceptable. This unit may offer assistance if needed?," it turns towards Stonebeard once more, and waits for a response.

"Oh, unquestionably.  All of us are pretty much done as far as the actual fighting goes," Rose confirms, "I always knew someday I'd have to retire and move to a support role, but...  I didn't think it'd be this soon.  Out of all of us, only Zelda might still be fit to fight, and it took...  It was their choice, and it's too late to question it now.  Well, Zelda and Nergigante, once he finishes healing up.  It could be a while on his end though, since there's not exactly a lot for him to eat around here other than normal wildlife from the forest.  He'd recover much faster if he had richer meals with more bioenergy in them."

------------------------------------------------

"You ain't my anything, girlie," Stonebeard informs Warden 3, "I'm off the front lines for good in my condition.  Only people you'll be screwing over if you slack is the people you came with, and the entire slagging universe.  And I ain't being cavalier about it either.  What you see in my storerooms and armory here?  It's what we've got.  Unless your bird runs on antimatter fuel cells or Dale can mix something up for you in sufficient quantities, you're gonna have to find a source of fuel and bring it back here.  And unless you've got a bullet press somewhere in your bird's apparently superior cargo space, Rose and I are gonna have to make your rounds by hand unless you can bring back something better.  This ain't like working for a big government, girlie.  You're gonna have to take some responsibility for your own upkeep.  But at least Rose and I won't charge you a hundred credits for every five credit bullet and rivet.  And if you ain't interested in expansions, well then, you'll just have to bring back what you can carry.  I think I got just the thing for that..."

Stonebeard turns towards one of his storerooms and rummages in one of the heavy crates, before turning back around with a wide grin on his face, and in his hands a bulky, infantryman's backpack, and a battered, stained entrenching tool, the edges of its axe-like shovel head covered in some kind of dark metal.  "Back in the light infantry, these bad boys served me well on many a scrounging mission when the brasshats mucked up our requisitions," He shoves them into a presumably stunned Warden 3's hands, "Bring back some good scrounge, if you're sturdy enough to carry it, Ms. carrier fighters count as tough.  Bah, give me a good escort destroyer any day...  Half as entitled even with all the crew together, they can actually take a few shells without falling out of the sky.  Well, ya work with the air support you've got, not the air support you want.  And you work with the logistics train you've got, not the one you want.  So I guess we're both coming away disappointed."

"Nah, robot, I ain't got anything for you to do.  Not until we get more supplies in here, at least."

Henry nods. That makes sense. "So he recovers by consuming stuff with bioenergy... Kind of like my stand uses can take materials from similar objects to repair other things then?"

Warden 3, after her initial startlement, slung the bag over her back. "Do you think I don't know what's riding on this?" The brunette sighed, before fixing her sternly irritable expression onto her face once again. "It would be an affront to my country and my world to perform anything less than my absolute best. If wanting to take the steps necessary to do so makes me 'entitled,' then so be it." She adjusted the fit of the backpack. "And if you think you're going to humble me with this, I advise you to think again." She turned on her heel and stalked out of the workshop, grumbling something less than polite under her breath about "ground pounders."
