He finished up alongside Rika, then timidly approached Kruger. He tried to clear his throat, looking at the group. "Erm— everythingokay?" He spoke, a bit quicker than he'd have intended normally. His gaze briefly flitted to Kaede, wondering how she'd feel about Maximus's gift.


Greenhouse

"Okay...! As long as it helps you out too!" Arnett's embarrassment managed to turn into a gentle smile. "Thank you... When are you available? I mean— to meet up and... practice Arte stuff. I-I'm good any time you are, really!"

"It's fine, Lin, it happens. It's just making up after that matters. Now come on, we should get you to the infirmary. And then get some good food in you. It might make you feel a little better."
"I mean...whenever you're free, just ask. I'd be happy even to just talk for a little bit, you know?"

"Mhm." She finished putting the leg on and stood up. The belgor frowned at the artificial limb, as if it'd said something crass, but elected not to scold it for the time being. "Let's head out, then. It's been a while since I visited, anyway." Her mouth twisted into something like a rueful smile for a moment.

"Alright."
Kaya opens the door to let Lin pass.
"Make anything nice lately?"
"Ah, good timing. Yeah, if you wanna tag along, Arnett, maybe you and Kruger here can figure it out, huh?"
Jack hands the tickets over to Kruger.
Kruger and Arnett have accepted the sidequest 'Love is War, Part 2'.

"I don't imagine my trick will work as well a second time, though."
She let out a long sigh.
"It must be nice to have an arte that doesn't blow you up as well."

"Oh, it'll be over quick alright."
She took up one of the training zweihanders, and made a stance.

Lin trudged forward with all the energy one would expect. She typically walked with a slight limp, but it was virtually impossible to notice without looking for it. That was not the case at this moment, as Arte-induced exhaustion dragged at her.

"There were, uh, a few interesting pieces today for Professor Ramsay. And I've been working on a better leg for combat, but that one is tough. Mostly I've been messing with new techniques at the forge."

With a grunt of effort, Cattleya leveled the blade and unleashed a might swing towards Theodora's torso as if to cut her in two with the training blade.
"Graaagh!"

"Do you do this often then or used to? I can't imagine floating boats to be terribly exciting..." Honestly, this just seemed more of a waste of time to Astrea more than anything else. There's so much more productive things one could do with their time.

After taking a quick check-up on Shin to make sure he wasn't too covered in foliage, Astrea made her way into training room. From a distance she watched as the 3rd years and some of her new classmates fought. "So this is how the 3rd years perform in combat... I should see where I stand." The began getting antsy. She took in a deep breath before working up the courage to approach Theodora. She waited until Cattleya responded to her combatant before speaking herself,


"Theodora was it? I am Astrea, a 2nd year newly transferring into the 3rd. I was uhhh... I was wondering if you had a little bit more time to spare for one more match with me if that is alright?"

Flat on her back, Cattleya scowled.
"Darn it. Fluffing darn! Heck!"
Her tail lashed against the ground in frustration.
"Urgh. I didn't even touch you."
She gave a look to the new girl, briefly wondering how on earth she actually saw with a chunk of metal covering her eyes.
"Don't worry, " she groused. "If it's anything like us, you won't delay her at all."

Kaya looks intrigued.
"Better leg? What do you mean?"
Kaya shrugs at Astrea.
"To each their own. So, you here to enjoy the lake, or something else?"
Theodora looks briefly between Orrel, Catt and Astrea, as if pondering what, exactly, was going on with three people challenging her in a row.

She sighs, a slight frown on her face.
"If you insist...."

"I thank you for the opportunity." She said giving a slight bow towards her fellow lancer. Taking a few paces back she readied her lance. However, just a few moments after wielding it in both arms the entire pole exuded a white wispy aura. The blade of the lance shimmering like the stars in the darkest of nights. "However, I don't plan to go down so quickly! En Guard!" Rather than taking a more offensive route like the other two opponents, Astrea took a more defensive stance waiting for Theodora to make the first move.

Astrea Activates her Arte Blessed Armory and Holds

Theodora wins the duel.
"I kinda get that. It's honestly nice around here. It's a good way away from the campus, so it's quiet out here."

"Huh. Can't even imagine... That's a lot of family. I've just got Arnett, really. I mean... There's my mother but, well, she and I don't really get along all that well. Think I remind her too much of my dad. Well, that and I was always getting in trouble growing up. But at least a chunk of that was to try and protect Arnett, so I don't exactly regret it. Still, no surprise my mom was glad to send me here. No need to worry about kids from her old marriage anymore, maybe now she'll finally have a chance to move forward."
