In Unsanctioned Duels, while there is no map due to the short nature of the fights, except where mentioned, the same rules apply to them as they do to Duels at the Sparring Rooms. The exceptions are:

- All skills are active. Skills that require enemies or allies to be within range to activate are considered to always be active and all units are within range of all Skills and Artes where applicable. Terrain defaults to Floor or Grass. Skills that would normally target tiles can instead target individual units.
- Summons can be utilised during Unsanctioned Duels.
- Consumable items can be used within Unsanctioned Duels.

Oh no, we're actually fighting— Okay, just... focus...

At least it was some practice that Arnett was finally getting. He took a deep breath, brandished his paintbrush, and quickly got to work. He didn't worry about detail, he didn't worry about features— just swiftly painted up a humanoid silhouette wielding a cestus. Arnett finally exhaled once it took shape, brandishing its knuckles at its foes and allowed Arnett some cover as it started throwing punches at a rapid pace.

"It worked..." Arnett quietly spoke out of relief.

Arnett creates his Imago, who rushes in to go punch Enforcer A.

Alicia ponders the suggestion.

Mus'ad shrugs.
"It'll be fine, most everyone will assume it's just part of the presentation, and it's unlikely that those that don't will say anything. Just act as natural as you can and no one will dare question you; or at least that's what my father always told me."

Kruger inspires their newest ally to arms, being quite right in his estimation.

Rika, being placed between Arnett and the leader of the attackers, manages to slow him, his punches being so slowed as to allow Rika to calmly evade them with the slowest movements on the planet.

Arnett looked genuinely surprised that he actually managed to accomplish such a feat, but he had to be quick about his shock as he stumbled back and away from the attack. "I-I mean- Get him-" Arnett let out a gasp as his body glowed with Alphinite, the color from his body fading just a bit as the Imago suddenly gained a similar Alphinite glow and a burst of speed, throwing more punches...

Arnett activates Mental Degradation, Imago mudas Enforcer C

"Yes, you did, Arnett. Celebrate when you see the end of combat."

Kruger now steps forward to accompany the Imago's flurry with some precise thrusts and cuts of his own.

Rika slows the last target for good measure, knowing full well he was probably gonna get pummeled mercilessly even without her help.

They scurry away, dropping a small piece of paper on their way behind them. Isabeau places a hand on her hip and whips her hair around, looking smug.
"Begone, enemies of Fate! For I, La Princesse Isabeau du Archambault, will tolerate no villains to intimidate my newfound comrades!"
"My lady, perhaps it would be useful to introduce yourself to these people, yes? It would seem rather crude not to."
"Ah, but of course! Where are my manners? Comrades, my name is Isabeau du Archambault, Princess of the Tenebrous Kingdom, Fated Adjudicator of Destiny and regent to a faraway land."

Rika picked up the piece of paper before anyone else noticed it.

"Lara Friederike Riesenberg, but everyone calls me Rika. Thanks for the help, miss."

"I- umm- I mean Steven doesn't look- uhh. . ."
"Look, he's fine. He's, er, a little intimidating. But. . ."
"It's, um, someone in 3C."

Arnett exhaled slowly, his Imago now standing threateningly by his side with arms crossed. Arnett looked up at his Imago with awe— Just like old times, huh? He managed an exhausted sigh, wondering if he did go a bit overboard with his Arte... no, that was just the smallest piece of it. It would go away quick, it was just some minor fatigue...

It was this fatigue that caused him to basically not hear anything Isabeau said. She shouted a lot and used a lot of weird words. But he could at least tell what her first name was.

"I'm... uh... Arnett. Sokolov. Arnett Sokolov. Thanks..." He was mostly parroting Rika, still trying to catch his breath.
