Try to dissuade Willis by shouting that you're fine and the snakes are harmless. Move away from the wall.
"Please don't, Willis, they're too weak to hurt me!"
Also slash the king cobra again if we have time, but combat isn't the priority here.
"Please don't, Willis, they're too weak to hurt me!"
And you hear the whining noise start to ring down.
"Okay Trence, but you let me know the moment something bad happens!"
Trence uses Slash!
Cobra King is wounded! (almost dead)
...
You clean up nicely, taking only another 9 damage from the next two Cobra King attacks, finishing with a Counter in the next round of battle. It seems the striped serpents are weak to lightning.
You also acquire yet more poison, and are now Poisoned x4, Badly Poisoned x1. It doesn't go away at the end of the battle, either. I mean, you aren't taking any damage, although it does feel a bit odd.. should you do something about it?
The snakes drop some fairly non-descript snake scales, so nothing better than your existing loot.
As soon as the encounter is over, the bars slide back up, and Willis comes in, spells at the ready. There's nothing to shoot at, however, and the far door seems okay.
The chest is still there, too. If you want to take a look inside, one of you is going to have to open it.
