I love how completely unhesitantly the T-Lock just went "SEEYA GUYS, GOOD LUCK"

I mean, it's not that they were the first to run, it's just that they were the ones in the best condition to run.

I'm not retreating! I'm advancing in the opposite direction!

I already answered eS elsewhere, but for those who are curious:

1. Weapons fire, and long-range plus missiles tick
2. DC, Jumps, Long range Missiles tick
3. Weapon hit rolls
4. Countermeasures (PD, Shields, then Armor, blocking preferred projectile first)
5. Weapon damage
6. Check DC, shields, Power balance and Jump completion criteria

Thus, a just-completed jump or repair attempt could get disrupted by enemy fire, be it by damaging the component directly, or by causing a power outage. I will assume that your DC teams won't power things on if it'll cause a power deficit though.

Turn 17

Spoiler: Crunch (click to show/hide)

As the seconds tick down on the display, the jump engineer sweats profusely as explosions rock the Ayes. Damage reports flood in as she waits for the inevitable shot to strike the laboured drive and vaporise her, watching the clock like it was some sort of death timer.

Thirty seconds. Twenty nine. Twenty eight. Fore Reactor keeps getting holes through it as quickly as the repair crews can patch them.

Twenty two seconds. Twenty one. Twenty.  Nineteen. The shield generator suddenly winks offline, reports indicate the entire section just got glassed.

Twelve. Ten. The last thrusters have just been rendered inoperable.

Five. Four. Did something just hit the bulkhead?

Two. One.

Calculation complete.

Initiate jump? Y/n

Let's get the heck out of here. She thought, and quickly hit yes.

The Ayes blinks out of existence.

---

The initial sensor sweep determined they had successfully jumped, just as the T-Lock officially exits the theater and the Mandator and Koganasun find themselves in visual range of each other once more.

I was afraid that was going to happen.

All weapons fire on the Koganusan, charge the jump drive to get as close to the Ayes as possible.

Now I get to sit here and keep the drive charged while trying to kill the Koganusan before the Ayes can escape. Lucky damage rolls, please?

jump to extreme range. DC to both impulse thrusters.

I was afraid that was going to happen.

You've done enough damage to destroy a fleet three times their size.  God damn.  Poor Naturegirl, it's obvious just how terribly unlucky she was.

Her lack of armor on every component and small ship size were the problems, more than mere luck.

So, if you were to run this game again, what sort of balance changes do you guys think would be valid?

Still holding back on that until the first game has officially concluded or Kashyyk asks for feedback now.

I ask because I'd like to run a similar game.  No disrespect to kashyyk, of course
