Spoiler: Turn 17 Math (click to show/hide)

It seems that with the collapse in Sand prices and increase in Trinket prices, the profitability of a Glassblower Workshop now exceeds that of a ship plying the Nearsouthlands route. Rijke Reizen Enterprises does not have the liquid funds to invest in such a venture, but points out the opportunity anyway for others to capitalise on it.

By the way a1s, you might want to update your third post with the Glassblower Workshop, bananas and Aloysius Shores destination.

Ah, apologies.  Not sure how I missed this.

Stürn und Tochter

Think I'm all caught up. Now just to see if I'll earn enough to solo own a trinket factory or shipyars before Dochen Holz stops making money.

Spoiler: Turn 18 and 19 Math (click to show/hide)

Well, that was a pretty close shave there. If Jolly Crustacean hadn't made it back on schedule I'd have gone bankrupt.

Just for fun, here's the profitability of the various enterprises at current prices:

Lumber yard: ₣0.85/turn
Woodcarver Workshop: ₣1.13/turn
Glassblower Workshop: ₣1.50/turn
Shipyard: ₣5.30/turn
Ship to Nearsouthlands: ₣1.25/turn
Ship to Aloysius Shores: ₣2.17/turn

The Shipyard is by far the most profitable, assuming that the listed price of 10 Florins is what we can sell newly made ships at. Otherwise, investing in a Glassblower Workshop would help to push up Sand prices and push down Trinket prices, helping the ships on the Nearsouthlands route.

Shipyard requires buyers, doesnt it?  Or are we just manufacturing ships for personal use?

I assume a Shipyard can only sell ships to other players. So instead you're just massively undercutting the current national Shipyard.

This is correct.
