None of their sparring partners seem overly keen on barreling out of their favorable defensive terrain into certain defeat, regardless of how tempting it is to knock Cami over again.

Hortensia listened to Thane, only half-heartedly yet still managing to look offended at being given some nice words of advice. She even managed to scooch away from Thane as he sat down, as much as she possibly could. She turned her nose up and away as if she were being offered a particularly meager set of disappointing rations.

"Do you honestly think—! Enjoy myself with this...! It's not about telling on people, I have some dignity left in me!" She punctuated her last protest with a 'hmph'. "Even if you are under the idea that this barbarism isn't entertainment for your kind, our ideas of entertainment are vastly different, and that will never change. Unless you can procure an orchestra of pleasant instrumentals, I dare not hear a word of it!"
