Intermittent freezing with Linux version
« on: January 04, 2021, 01:48:12 am »

I'm using 64bit 47.04 on Manjaro. (fairly sure I have all the dependencies)

About every 20 seconds I get a 3 second freeze. Happens with the base game and the linux pack w/dfhack.
Odd thing is, it works fine playing the Win version through WINE. :D

Watching with htop, one of the cores will spike to 100%, causing the freeze.

I thought maybe something intense was happening underground, so I created a second world and the issue persists.
I'm hoping someone else has encountered this issue. I'd rather run the linux version if I can, that .exe is scoffing at me.

Any ideas? Need more info from me? Let me know.

It menaces with spikes of CPU

Well.. I have no idea what I did, but I loaded an earlier save and everything is working fine.
The other world is working now too.

If I figure out what was causing it I'll post it here so this won't be a useless thread.
