Are we going to have to play a block puzzle game to proceed through the game?  Is it possible to play the game without needing to use any of the in-app purchases?
You’re thinking of Tetris
I’m thinking of any of several match-3 games that are available for cell phones and tablets.

Plants the seeds in the experimental field and attempt to graft them to produce superior cultivars.

You try to hybridize the senak and qiplot plants.

Spoiler: Unnamed Hybrid 1 (click to show/hide)

Name our Fruit!
Arqisen

Because otherwise we can't get a patent and rake in the sweet fruit royalties!

(Arqisen = artificial hybrid qiplot-senak; using three syllables distinguishes our names from the two-syllable source fruits)
(also if we keep using the ar- prefix we sound like pirates :D)

You pick 24 qiplot fruit and 12 senak fruit.

Edit: I decided it makes more sense to give you all the fruits and then make you decide whether or not you sell them, rather than autoselling them.

Sell the fruits until we have 4 of each, if possible buy 1 sack each of the remaining species

Can we plant the fruits, or just seeds? if the later, why are we keeping 4 fruits?

Merchants would get angry if we sell depitted fruit? And they'll spoil sooner.

What if we dried fruit to sell?
