People have different opinions on what's "respectful". Shonai's comment didn't come off as snide to me at all; meanwhile you sound quite rude, from my perspective.

Ok, then I apologize.
There's really no need; I figured you didn't mean to be. It's all too easy to come off as rude without meaning to, as I'm sure we all know.

That is, I think we can all give each other the presumption of good faith, here.

Yeah, and I just realised - for some reason I've never been able to notice usernames so I basically just live in the -chan version of the forum where everyone's indistinguishably anonymous - that you made the suggestion in the first place, so uh, that (actually-non-)disagreement may have been a complete waste of time on both our parts, lol.
