Pick 1/5

Mission E succeeds

EuchreJack leads the charge, taking along Jim Groovester, ToonyMan, FallacyofUrist and Webadict. They have the palace surrounded. The organs of the state have almost been captured. The commander sends hidden directions, to outmanoeuvre the imperial forces amassing outside the city.

That's when TricMagic arrives, armed to the teeth. Vector and Bluarianknight await as backup. He just needs to kill the leader of the rebels to give the imperial forces an edge on the counter-revolution. But who did he target?

TricMagic is the assassin. The assassin has 48 hours to decide who the commander could be.

1. Toonyman
2. BluarianKnight
3. Knightwing64
4. JimGroovester
5. FallacyofUrist
6. Webadict
7. EuchreJack
8. Vector
9. TricMagic - Assassin

TricMagic didn't even hesitate or wait for input. He knew who the commander must be. "KnightWing, the revolution dies with you!"

He shoots 64 year old Knight of the Wing dead, one day before his retirement.

At that moment, the real Commander, the ever enigmatic Webadict, was orchestrating this whole sting operation bursts in with a rebel platoon and wipes out the spies in one swoop!

The revolution was secured!

The Assassin shot Knightwing. Knightwing was a rebel.

Webadict was the Commander.

FallacyofUrist was the Bodyguard.

THE REBELS WIN!

Of course it would be webadict, it's always webadict. Enigmatic little penguin.

Good job. I kinda wish Knightwing participated more so I could have ruled them out that way. You don't get to retire at least~

Excellent town play. Very directorial high risk high reward commander play. The funny thing was Toony thought Web was the bodyguard and Fallacy the commander. Still, it worked out well. Web did a good job of going through the motions of figuring out the scum team logically which helped cement his case, while KnightWing and Euchre by not commiting to too much in the thread (whether intentionally or not) managed to make themselves seem like they were lying low like a commander might.

I'm curious who Blu and Vector thought the Commander was, as Tric could have waited and conferred (or even conferred early when they were busted).

I actually knew FoU was the Bodyguard on their second post.

ToonyMan is the real MVP for allowing me to use that gambit. I was actually trying to setup FoU to be my "Commander" because they would know what I was doing.

So, the fact that ToonyMan thought that is exactly what I was trying to do.

Nice.

I did think this sort of thing might have given the game away:
Toony, Euchre isn't the Commander.
FoU, would you mind swapping me out for BK and choosing the same team? Only if you truly feel like it, of course.

But apparently a sufficient screen of WIFOM had been produced! Toony provided excellent cover, I'm curious to hear why he decided Web was legit.

I'll be honest, if it was going to be anyone else it would be you web. Toony kinda placed BK on their team from the get go, and FoU made a post that disqualified them as commander. But well, Knightwing made the most sense for never having passed a spy-riddled team.

Did not know we could talk in thread after though, given most kills are Private and we didn't get a chat/

I am as well.

My play was intentional after the first few posts.  Not really an original idea, as Web and Toony gave it to me.

I didn't suspect Web, at least any longer than anyone else.  Glad I didn't have to make that choice.

I thought the Commander was either FoU, Jim, or Knightwing.

Tric, why didn't you wait for Blue and Vector to help you shoot the Commander?

I was very interested in seeing the spies discuss their thoughts and you just blind fired like a madman.

I'll have more to say later when I'm less busy.

I’m so confused right now. You tell me to do one thing then your like no! Don’t do that thing.  :-\

Stay confused.  From now on, as a favor to me, please vote the opposite of whatever you would normally vote.  Don't confirm or deny this request.

Tric, you forgot this in your vote analysis.  Knightwing, from what I can tell, followed my advice, so it was flawed.

I mostly was working off of Jim's list of voting patterns.

And like I said, no chat made me assume we wouldn't have the chance to. Hence me starting up beforehand. Had Knightwing actually passed the vote, that would have been info I could have used, since they wouldn't be the commander. Instead, mostly No vote..
