That would suck hardcore.

Now I'm genuinely scared of necrophiliacs   :(

[Healthcare Update Thread] Personally, I can't wait for doctors to get possessed and start surgically attaching axes to champion soldier's arms.

Death does not work that way. No, trust me, it really, really doesn't.

This is an opportunity for SCIENCE!  All we have to do is put one of us in an MRI, then start we twisting a spear in your brain.  Any pain shouldn't be too hard to spot.

'course, it'd have to be a undwarven spear -- iron or steel would just muck up the machine.

I ordered bacon.
They served me spam.
There can be no forgiveness!

Back on topic; skinning the salmon is merely an example of my underachieving greatness; while others slaughter megabeasts with thrown cockroaches, I hunt and eat aquatic vermin.

Are you suggesting we conduct SCIENCE! with... dare I say it?  ELVEN *spit* weapons?  Those wooden dowels are useful for training clueless recruits!  Nothing more!

Sorry, I don't know what came over me.

Nonsense, my good man. Elves *spitow* are good for nothing hippies.

It is only a natural dwarven reaction.

I would suspect an artifact adamantium spear would work too -- as long as it's not decorated with magnetite.  Or, in a pinch, perhaps a silver spear.

You really don't want to see "The flying *Steel spear* hits the MRI scanner in the cryostat.  It is pierced through!  The MRI scanner has been struck down."

My Legendary Axeman had got bored of killing monsters and turned his attention to a genocidal war against the elves. town after town he spared not one elf until
code:
 The elf charges at You!
The elf strikes at You but the shot is blocked!
The elf collides with You!
The elf is knocked over and tumbles backward!
You hack at The elf in the head with your Iron halberd!
The elf loses hold of the narrow Rope reed hood.
The elf loses hold of the narrow Rope reed cap.
The head flies off in a bloody arc!
Narena Ecafemetha, elf has been struck down.
The flying Willow arrow strikes You in the head!
It is pierced!
Your right ear has been badly pierced!
Your nose has been pierced!
Your throat has been poked out!
Your neck has been badly pierced!
Your brain has been pierced!
You block The flying Willow arrow!
You cannot travel until you leave this site.

Until that point not a single elven arrow had struck him  :(

Sounds like a good practical joke to play on undergraduate medical physics students:

"Do us a favour - could you possibly MRI this *iron giant serrated disc* for us?" (runs...)

In a fat-fingered moment while setting up another military squad I accidentally created a captain of the guard rather than a militia captain.  His squad of near-legendary hammerdwarves equipped with high quality silver hammers then took it upon themselves to dispense justice to all the mandate breakers in the fortress.  It was quite messy.
