Once more the Portal to Evil whirs to life within the Castle walls, a swirling green and yellow gateway opening inside it.

Those that stepped through found themselves in a cool field illuminated by bright starlight.  An old wooden fence behind separates you from an overgrown corn crop.  The night sky shines above, stars crowding it and the occasional bright streak shooting past.  Opposite the fence to the right a bit and up a gentle slope is a small house facing away and towards the other side of the hill.  There's a barn to the left and beyond it another fence and possibly a road.

There is a dim light on the far side of the house and the rumbling of a distant storm cloud down the road.

Much of the party finds something off with their gear and appearance, none of it is gone but something about going through the portal changed it.  Perhaps to help them blend in.

Lyra finds herself in bell-bottom trousers, a t-shirt, and black leather jacket.  Her mask is replaced with large aviator sunglasses, and her wrench is...still here.  Albeit hooked to her now leather belt and wide buckle.  Her other gear appears to be missing, but she feels like she could retrieve it by simply wanting it.

Osada kimono is replaced with an expensive wide-collared suit and bellbottom trousers, still red with black edges and a floral design undershirt.  His swords are also moved to an intangible space just within reach.

Dani finds almost no change, while Joan's top turns tie-dyed pastel and her skirt shrinks down to a miniskirt.

Liliya finds herself wearing hotpants and a simple t-shirt, her duster replaced or changed to a short brown leather trench coat.  Something about her hair was odd as well, it was pulled up in layers and there was some kind of odd greasy substance in it.  She too had a pair of sunglasses like Lyra's.

Kino finds her habit and veil no longer as worn or torn.  Damaged spots gone, tears patched seamlessly, and stains of all sorts cleared away.

Alexandria is the most changed however.  Most of her body looks and feels like it's made of actual human flesh instead of hyperdense alloys, though her skin retains a faint lustrous tone and slight glitter.  Her hair appears organic as well, though still sliver in color.  Her evening dress is also replaced with a halter top and mini skirt made of fabric that appears to be more glitter than cloth, along with tall boots up to her knees.  The heels of the boots are thick and made of clear plastic to barely show the cone shaped boosters hidden inside them.  Several of her systems seem to be hidden away in non-Euclidean spaces invisible to the naked eye, while others are still within her and she's sure she could withdraw them if the need arose.  Her weight and mobility hasn't changed much either, though she feels she might be able to fake it somewhat better.

"Wow. When were bellbottoms in style last, man?" Liliya quipped, shaking her head. The motion felt unbalanced. Not quite as though her hair had been cut, just. . . styled differently it turned out.

And by God, was she going to use it.

Osada

"Wait, you mean these things have names? I've never even seen pants styled like this" Osada commented as he kept investigating the outfit the portal had shoved him in, "Hrm... Not really what I normally wear, but I sort of dig it. Not all that bad, all things considered" he continued, glancing over the others before turning to face the house ahead, "Well, since we were dropped off here, I take it that house is where we need to go? I'm rather new to this whole business."

"Yeah that's what I know them as. Not been in fashion for, like, fifty years or something. Maybe we've gone back in time! Not that that means anything." Smirking, she nodded at the suggestion. "Yeah, house is probably where to go. Unless we want to get really soaked."

Lyra

The contractor just shrugs. "Wasn't my choice to wear these. But yeah, let's get into the house." Lyra started walking towards the house, taking the lead and examining the house for anything dangerous.

Dani and Joan

Dani, after realizing that Joan's outfit at least had changed, quickly looked himself over. A grin grew as he realized he didn't get changed at all and he pumped a fist in the air with a hoot of victory. "Unchanged baby! Told ya punk never goes out of style." Dani turns to Joan, looking her over for a few seconds as she inspects herself with a clearly critical eye. For the final check she turns to Dani, who simply smiles and gives her a nod, which she returns with a smile of her own. "Well, whoever picked this out has pretty good taste at least.... It's cold out though." Taking that as a hint, Dani wrapped Joan in his jacket, and picked her up, which drew a pleased sigh from the demon weapon.

As a few members of the group move towards the house the sky comes alive with movement again.  Dozen of streaks in a multitude of colors from blue to green or red or yellow, all burning through the upper atmosphere in a brilliant display.  There is stillness for a moment then a brighter flash, lightning striking from the storm moving in and thunder rumbling behind it.

There is some distant conversation up ahead, and some voice breaks through slightly louder than the others.
"G-g-g-guys that storm is like, getting real close.  I don't know, maybe we should go to the cellar?"

Dani and Joan

Hearing a voice up ahead, Dani holds back a moment to talk to the rest of the group. "Hey, maybe we should hide the whole "Being from another world" thing? Clearly whoever the boss is took steps to hide us, so it's probably best if we keep up the act. Shouldn't be too hard just don't act weird or give out too many details."

Osada

Having been ultimately the last to follow, Osada nods in agreement to Dani's point, bringing a hand to his chin, "True, true, though it might also help if we had a consistent story between us. Not sure if a group of pals getting lost during a trip into the countryside is a good cover up" he commented, pausing for a moment before narrowing his eyes, "Though that could work..."

Lyra

Lyra turns to the rest of the group, thinking over the decision to hide their identities. "Well, all right... Now, in the mean time, let's get in. I don't think any of us have umbrellas..."

"We can worry about our cover story and how incredibly radical I look now later.  There are people in danger!"  Alexandria states, "We need to help them as soon as possible!"  She starts walking towards the voice as fast as she can.

Alexandria is not walking towards the voice very quickly.

Dani and Joan.

Dani shrugs as he picks up the pace to meet the distant voices.

Kino and Enma

Though their previous encounter had not been too kind in their memory, Kino and her sister decided to venture into yet another portal with another group following some well-needed rest. Kino immediately took notice of her clothing as she entered; it was as if time had reversed before that tragic day where she had received her curse. Her nun's outfit seemingly in perfect form, she would have easily been the splitting image of a lovely young nun if her deathly pale skin, unchanged from her new destination, were not a distinct, poor complement.

Enma immediately took notice of her sister's new clothes and became excitable. Look, sister! How long has it been since you've wore clothes so clean? Sad that nothing about me has changed since coming here, though.

Far too long, she said in her mind, without the slightest tinge of emotion. The rumbling sky suggested that if they did not act, her attire would not remain as unblemished as it was now, and Kino admittedly wanted it to stay that way, even if she knew it would be an impermanent experience.

She spoke candidly in a little, yet worn voice to her group of world-hoppers. "For now, perhaps we should shelter from the storm. I do not know if we need face it, but it would be best if we gathered and decided on a course of action."

Liliya shrugged, heading towards the house. Whoever was talking there must have been nigh shouting, if she'd picked up what they'd said so easily. Now she was simply curious what was going on there.

With a slight skip in her step, she headed forward. "Let's go in, I want to meet these people and see what's going on."

Cicivexa

Cicivexa was late to the portal's opening, and ultimately trailed in behind the rest of the group. The past weeks (or... however long it was) were... not good to him. He and his allies had accomplished what they set out to on his last adventure, but with an ancient evil left alive, another ancient evil resurfaced via their presence, and a power-hungry world-traveler left unaccounted for with a fate-altering artifact... not to mention while he was attaching one of his spoils to his accoutrement he realized the extent of his body's permanent transmutation after his own desperate-yet-fruitless grasp for power...

He spent much of the night after that discovery huddled in solitude, in an empty lodging room with a bottle of wine silently taken from the pantry, before recomposing and rationalizing his transformation. He now had the power of a... Toa? He hadn't found the time to learn more of what that might entail, but even if he had become more machina than man, he had the small comfort that his body was still considered a person's in at least one world (as well as the larger comfort that he, at least ostensibly, now had the power of a destined hero in him somewhere).

Ultimately, Cicivexa followed another adventuring party through the portal for finding evil, discovering that whatever force transformed him in the last adventure (prior to the permanent transformation) had given him a semblance of flesh back. Perhaps his newfound situation wasn't so bad after all. Though it didn't do much for his regrettable headache from the night prior, unfortunately. He didn't bother talking much at the time, mostly following the group until something that demanded his attention manifested.
