VermilionSkies, although it's not time to respond in words yet, you can choose a general stance to adopt toward this attempt: you can try to flee, accept it, be aggressive, or whatever you can think of.

Light above, warming the earth
Grass spreading it's roots and leaves. Trees reaching deep and high.
Like the system of roots, spread outward to grasp the energy flowing.
Settle mine own roots, trunk reaching upward off of that energy, to grasp the light.

(TL:DR, settle a number of branches to collect the earth's energy around the core, and like a sapling emerging from a seed, reach upward towards the abovegound for light.)
