So, this is a single military event that happened in the 1930s between Japan and China and it isn't mentioned in certain high-school history books. That last part is not as helpful as it looks, since in my textbook there was barely anything about the Second Sino-Japanese war until Perl Harbor (4 years into the war.)

Anyway, is it the Battle of Shanghai?
