Is it something often done in a laboratory setting?

It depends on the laboratory.

Would a chemistry lab be a place this would happen?

Possibly.

Is it a philosophical concept?

I would say, no.

Is this an important part of a chemical making process?

Would the lab cease to function if people involved didn't know what this was?

Half of your answers are needlessly misleading and ambiguous, some of them just incorrect. This thing "could be" important in a laboratory or involved in making something in the same way that a glass of milk "could be".

Is it an obscure scientific term for something that the average person does do or experience?
Also this was one of the very few questions that could have gotten people closer and you answered it with no? Should have been a resounding yes. Everybody does this all the time without knowing it has a name.

Not everyone, actually.  It depends on… well it depends on something that I can’t spell out without giving away.

On the the other hand, after some thought, I think I’m going to say that it is something that the “average person does or experiences” everyday.  It’s just not something that “everybody” does or experiences everyday.

I wouldn’t  say my answers are “needlessly misleading or ambiguous”. People ask questions, and I answer them.  It’s not my job to hold the player’s hand and forcefully drag them along the path to the correct answer.  It’s up to the players to ask smart questions, which will allow them to discover that path for themselves.

Nor do I (intentionally) make incorrect answers (if I do, it would be good if you could provide a link to my erroneous post (or quote it, if you want) and an explanation as to why you think it’s incorrect (using a spoiler to hide anything that might give the thing(r) away, of course)).  That being said, I’m not sure what you’re referring to in your example.
