Discipline and interruption of jobs
« on: January 05, 2022, 12:24:30 am »

Would high discipline help make civ dorfs less prone to cancelling their jobs in the presence of hostiles?

Probably not. It would probably increase the rate at which they attack hostiles rather than flee from them, but the interrupt is probably automatic.

What you'd want is some kind of "combat engineer" military squad that tries to do their job even when threatened, but given that squads can't even act cohesively, but have their members rush off on suicide attacks as soon as they reach the staging area, that concept would be a long way off even if Toady has considered it.
