This is the very definition of a bad idea.

It’s all part of our mysterious, unknown plan!

Trust the plan.

This isn't a plan, this is a bad decision presented on a platter labeled "Bad Decision".

You can't trust fellow Renegades. With 'nids at least you know where they stand.

Splinter fleet would make a great auxiliary force though. And it shows that we can truly unite everything in the galaxy!
RNGesus has spoken! First with Unknown Agenda, and now . . .

Tyranid Splinter Fleet
Our Prognosticators assure us that the local splinter fleet is a lesser threat than the imperium for now.
Have faith, and it'll all turn out fine~

Tyranid Splinter Fleet

Tyranids obviously.

The Chapter are "allies" of mutual convenience with a ravenous Tyranid Splinter Fleet that seems to have turned its appetites toward their mutual foe, in the Imperium and a more specific adversary. This may be temporary. This may not even be an alliance and you're all deluded into seeing a pattern of aggression where there is none. For now, you'll avoid culling them where you can and trust them to do the same.

Who is the Chapter's enemy?

Loyalist Space Marine Chapter: Your holy counterparts in the Imperium, sworn to see the Emperor's will be done and put all anathema to mankind, mutant, alien, and heretic alike to the sword. You fall under at least one of these and they're gunning for you. They and, should they fail on their own, what forces of the Imperium they can rally to their cause.

Quote

Orkish WAAAAAAAAGH: Big, green, and mean, a horde of Orkz have gotten it into their head that crumpin' the Chapter would make for a zoggin' good fight. They aren't wrong but you'd rather avoid getting bogged down and chopped to pieces. For now at least, the danger they pose is manageable but the longer you wait to crush them, the faster that will change.

...I’d rather have the orks fighting us than the weight of the Imperium, but I’m very worried about the potential endpoint of this conflict.

Spess Marheens! Their foolish devotion to the codex makes them nothing but free wargear to our more practical tactics! In theory, at least.

Well, the good thing about Orks is that they're a pain in the ass to kill all of. So that could buy us some time while we turn our alliance with the tyranids into, well, an actual fucking alliance. Or we figure out a good way to deal with them after their sudden but inevitable betrayal. At the same time, fighting a loyalist chapter will let us loot their gear to make up for what we lack, and we could theoretically loot gene seed in order to have more space marines available.

I have a lot of doubt that that's going to happen. They are still nids.

Is stealing loyalist geneseeds kosher? The resulting battle brothers might not meld with the culture of the chapter.
