That reminds me of the days where it took a whole day to load a one minute video on youtube and if was any longer you could just forget about it because it'd usually fuck up partway through.

You can watch a video that isn't fully loaded.  Those gems of wisdom from the prior millennium.
My problem was that the dial-up was so bad that it wouldn't even try to load the video if it was over a certain length.

How did anyone have money to surf anyway back then? Before A-DSL or at least ISDN and flat fees.Freaks.

Here we did it during the evenings and nights when it was cheaper (it was charged per call instead of per minute), but yeah, bills were high.

There is not much about the past I would miss too dearly, except that there are many living things - some small creepy crawlies, large birds, fish or plants and amphibians, that I used to love seeing everywhere. Now I see them nowhere, and they are the only thing I wish time had not taken from me
