With a quiet *click*, Sasaki thrust his thumb forward and pushed his katana clear from the sheath, then moved his hand and drew it. Holding it at his side and facing slightly away from the enemy group, he leveled his pistol at the interlopers as he moved to place himself between them and the fallen Joker & Maya to give them time to regain their feet.

"Oh, new challengers? / Allies of this foul villain? / If you dare draw blades...
Face the fire and steel / Of a true ronin warlord / I am Sasaki!"

Gustave shrugs at the sudden use of force.

"We're taking out the whole ring, then. Caladbolg, or whatever, can wait."

He crouches down, takes cover behind a stall and performs the gesture to activate stealth mode. It's not that great against players who know what to look for, but if the Firbolg indicator was right, it just might work.

After otherwise readying himself for battle, Gustave draws his weapon, a nondescript dart pistol he grabbed before going on leave from Hrimfaxi.

Should have brought a bigger gun. Oh, well.

Ceiwynn takes up a position to Sasaki's left and a bit behind, flipping her spellbook open to a page about halfway through.

"You've made a grave mistake, friends."

"Wha!?" Ellen yells as she ducks following the gunshot. She scrambles behind the stall she'd just opened to take cover.

PVP wasn't exactly her thing, but she didn't have teleport crystals on her, and she'd gone and helped out these people anyway, she could hardly leave at this point. Instead, she pressed a few buttons on her gauntlet, and a glowing axe formed in her hands, comically large in comparison to the relatively waifish young woman. "How rude! It's not polite to just start shooting like that you know! Looks like you need a lesson!"

"Hmmmmmm... Nope, not using whatever that weird stuff is."
"No one should say that the leader of the future top guild Nehushtan is a cheat or relying on a crutch. After all, it's CruXadder, not Crutchadder, hah!"

When the first shot fell, CruXadder instinctively held his kanabo in front of himself as a very rudimentary defense reflex before eyeing the opposition.

"Hrmpf. MotherHUGers! If ya gonna shoot, at least have the courtesy to shoot stuff with particle effects! Can't respect people who can't even QCF like gamepad warriors!"

The group finds themselves surrounded by Melthorion's allies as the rest of the market flees, guns, tomes and swords pointed at them. Joker is pulled to his feet by Maya.

"It seems we're in....a tight spot."
"You can say that again, Partner."
"I'll cover your back, Joker."
"You got the motorcycle, right?"
"Yes."
"Yeah, think we might need it. Least we ain't alone."

"Kick their asses and keep 'em subdued. I'll need to figure out how to silence them!"

L11. Swerving Round Brigand Thug B.

With an acrobatic tumble, Gustave leaps out of stealth to face the first enemy group. It is a distraction, however, as he pulls the trigger and launches a dart towards the biggest thug. At no point does his gun aim directly at the thug, but a bit of Impulse Tech allows for unlikely ballistics.

Sasaki calmly walked forward, keeping his pistol aimed at the group to the north... before suddenly whipping it to the right and taking a shot at the mage hiding behind the crate. Right after he fired, he moved to duck into cover on the opposite side of the crate himself.

Sasaki moves to K9 and fires on Mage E!

Even were he not in character, Sasaki wasn't quite sure he could follow everything that had just happened. He could at least acknowledge the 'kite ninja' thing, that he knew about.

"Flying shinobi / We are arresting this man / He is a fraud."

"...You are not injured? / Avoided damage at all? / That was quite a crash."

"H4! H4! H4!", the ninja laughed heartily. "L33TNint0 1z m4d3 t0ugher th4n th4t!" He then quickly put on far more pensive expression. "SC4MM3RZ, huh? N0t L33t." Oh, he knew his mates in the 'Ring of Honor' would have something to say about that.  And when it came down to it, so did he. "I'm in."

"...How do you even talk like that? I can hear the numbers."

"L337ness.", he turned to answer simply, as if that answered everything. Which, in his mind, it probably did. It was the answer to a lot of things. After that, things moved surprisingly quickly. The heck was this 'Caladbolg'? A virus? Did some hacker get into his gear? Ben's Nint0 avatar began to flicker as he did a quick diagnostic check on his end. Nope, all checked out so far.

He pulled himself back into the game just as the suited guy was finishing his 'explanation', if you could even call it that, and then things moved even faster. Gunshots. Swords. And a whole crowd of uglies.

"01, 01! Wh0s3 m4m4 d1d g4v3 U'4ll m4nn3rz?", Ninto grinned, readying his ninja dagger. "L33TNint0 G0nn4 0p3n a c4n 0f wh00pa33 0n y4 f00lz!"

Ninto heads to J8 and flings an Iron Knife at Mage E

Ceiwynn effortlessly navigates through several menus, calling up divine power from the spellbook-and hurling it right at the lacky standing in front of her.
