"This site can't be reached
local host refused to connect
Try:
  • checking the connection
  • Checking the proxy and firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"
note: the second to last time I tried opening legends browser, it said something about clearing cookies(which I did)
How did you start legends browser? Is it still running? you can check task manager, etc.
I started it with the link. Starting with the download brings this screen:
"This page isn’t workinglocalhost redirected you too many times.
Try deleting your cookies.
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS"

What is "the link"? If you just open localhost:58881 without doing anything else, that won't work, because localhost:58881 is served by Legends Browser - you have to start it first. Just navigating to that page doesn't start anything.

Have you tried clearing cookies for that specific website while you're on that screen? Have you tried another browser?

When you get that ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error, does your browser's address bar start with "http:" or "https:"?

There was a typo in the siegers' campfire code. When the fires went out, so did the game.

I already tried deleting cookies.
My browser address bars start with https: on most sites but localhost doesn't have http nor https

It has one. It's probably HTTP, like Myk said, but you might be able to see it by clicking into your address bar.

What browser are you using? If it's Chrome or something Chromium-based, try opening the web inspector (Ctrl-Shift-J), navigate to the "Console" tab if it's not selected, reload the page, and see if there are any errors.

Also: can you copy the URL in your browser's address bar when you encounter the error and paste it here?

Again, this should all be done when you see the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error, which means Legends Browser is actually running. If you see ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED, Legends Browser is not running.

I already tried deleting cookies.
Right, but it wasn't clear to me that you did this after you had encountered the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error on localhost:58881. Can't hurt to try clearing cookies one more time specifically for that site while it's open.

Hello. It might come as a tall order, but is there a possibility for you to develop a Android version for Legend Viewer, so we can read the .xml files from our phones?

 Or some workaround I'm unaware?

Thanks for you amazing work so far! LegendsBrowser is the way to go to read Legends to me.

It looks to me like LegendsBrowser already supports this because it's a web server that handles requests to any of your computer's IP addresses (I'm assuming you are referring to LegendsBrowser and not Legends Viewer). As long as your phone is on the same network as your computer, you should be able to navigate to http://YOUR_COMPUTER:58881 in a browser on your phone, where YOUR_COMPUTER should be replaced by your computer's local IP address (usually starts with 10., 192.168., or 172.).

This does not allow access over the internet - enabling that would typically require configuring port forwarding on your router, and I would only do that if you have a high level of trust in the security of the application you're enabling access to.
