Ghal, in his rage, snatched a pouch from a cavity in the nearby rock, cut an opening into it and smashed it into his face. Clouds of ground-up herbs and mushroom pollen splattered around his vicinity and the mercenary leader took a deep breath. Then, he moved the pouch away and used its linen as a makeshift cloth to wipe off his face. His eyes became reddened, a drop of blood running down from his nose, the frequency of his breathing alternating between eerily calm and hyperactively rapid. The faces of his men grew worried. Indeed, they were between a Ghal and a hard place.

Eiriol lowered her sword as the man started speaking. Her eyes lite up as he mentioned liking squirrels.


"I know right! They are so cute and fluffy." Eiriol started talking excitedly "The meanies chopped down a tree to stop us in the forest not even thinking about any squirrels that could of had a home there....." she tilted her head "Oh, Rork yeah he with us. He is just over there." she said pointed in the direction she came from.

He pulled out a sinister tome, known to studied experts as Hel, and began randomly ripping out pages from it, effectively rendering it useless.

"It would have been quite the obstacle, getting cursed like that. But you have nothing to fear now, especially once you dealt with Ghal and Helge, his right-hand man. Also, I graciously grant you access to the storage and these other items I carry with me. Just allow me to take my tome from the storage first... ... Oh, right! The name's Ceodor. "
"... So be it, Ceodor. I'll think about what to do with you once Ghal's breath is exhaled for the last time. Until then, we shall join arms. I supposed you're not against accompanying this man to the storage, Lulu?"

Rork moves on top of the rocks, trusting long years of experience in similar terrain to keep his footing despite the slick surface and the fact that it's a jumble of rocks underground, rather than above it. He clambers up to where he can see Ghall, and holds up the bottle of medical concoction up where he can see it. "Ghal. You look more insane than ever. Get up here and fight me you, cowardly prick."

With that, Rork chugs on the drink and wipes off his chin, staring Ghal down the entire time with his usual craggy frown. The man had always hated his stone faced visage... A direct insult will keep his blades from attacking the people he had trapped. A small chance to pay back the debt for this bumbling betrayal.
