@A_Curious_Cat

The Persians agree to this trade of Malachite for Legumes and the peace pact that goes with it.

The Persian people rejoice at the new food in their empire, seeing that the riches of the world can be theirs without resorting to violence and bloodshed. They clamor for more Mesopotamian flavors!

As a result, the Persian King has sent a response, offering Opals for Barley. (do I have to wait my turn to do this?)

The Mesopotamians gladly trade their barley for Persian opals, further cementing the pact of peace and friendship between the two nations.

The Persians will develop Opals and Silver in Western Parthia.

Inspired by the new goods they got from the Mesopotamians, the Persians begins their colonization of South East Parthia!

The Mesopotamians in Northeastern Mesopotamia begin raising sheep while, at the same time, turquoise is discovered in the same region.

Meanwhile, construction on the temple in Southeastern Mesopotamia continues using resources from Southeastern Mesopotamia, Eastern Mesopotamia, and Northeastern Mesopotamia.

Edit2:

(Just saw the note at the top of Haspen’s latest post…)

Edit3:

(Added temple construction information)

TURN 9 - CITY-STATE 3

Quote from: South Nubian attack against Western Nubia
North Nubia rolls: 6, 2, 5 = 13
Western Nubia rolls: 3, 2, 1 = 6
Difference: +7, random resource is removed: 1, Emeralds

Once again the South Nubians attacked Western Nubians. Their soldiers pillaged and plundered the wealthy Emerald mines, leaving nothing but rubble and collapsed tunnels.

Quote from: Minor Construction progress
North Egypt Temple: +5 Culture (Limestone x1, Sandstone x1) and +9 Wealth (Copper x1, Flax x2, Fruit Trees x1, Silver x1)
= 10/15 Culture, 15/15 Wealth
Western Anatolia Palace: +2 Culture (Malachite x1, Opals x1) and +11 Wealth (Fruit Trees x1, Malachite x1, Opals x1, Sheep x1, Silver x1)
= 2/10 Culture, 11/20 Wealth
Southeastern Mesopotamia Palace: +2 Culture (Sandstone x1) and +9 Wealth (Cattle x1, Copper x1, Fruit Trees x1, Gold x1, Tin x1)
= 4/10 Culture, 14/20 Wealth
Southern Nubia Temple: +4 Culture (Emeralds x1, Sandstone x1) and +6 Wealth (Cattle x2, Emeralds x1)
= 8/15 Cultute, 12/15 Wealth

Quote from: Development Rolls
North Nubia: 9

In Southeastern Egypt, mining of Malachite and herding of Sheep began in earnest. The mines of Western Parthia began mining out Silver and Opals in large amounts. Northeastern Mesopotamians began maintaining herds of Sheep in the same time as Turquoise started being mined from local mines. Northeastern Nubia saw the first domestication of mighty Elephants while Wheat was first sown and harvested in Northern Nubia.

Southeastern Mesopotamians and Northern Persians started their trading relations, with Legumes and Barley headed to Northern Persia, and Southeastern Mesopotamia receiving precious Malachite and Opals in return.

With our Temple almost complete Limestone is developed in South Egypt, to be sent with the Clay to Support the Construction.

Meanwhile, fisherman dive beneath the waves of West Levant and find Pearls, as stalwart explorers map out a potential colony in South West Levant.
