• fixed butchering position
• fixed poison on player healing instead of dealing damage xD

I forgot to write an update here on the forums (for changelogs of all versions refer to Discord (also I welcome You all to join, the more the merrier! - https://discord.gg/A2aDA9N3p3

I'm currently working on version 0.5.7 that will feature a total remake of Global Map. It will be generated using AStar, and biomes are generated with the use of Voronoi diagram. Dijkstra's algorhitm will allow, for example, to easily setup markers for level exits, guiding the player to a quest level-by-level. The map will also be in proper 3D view now with its own camera, allowing for some nice camera movement, zooming etc.

As for previous updates, the main change is with AI. NPCs now have faction relations matrix and can attack each other. Also, there is patrolling state so creatures will finally wander the dungeon on their own.
Also added ladders for high rooms, room erosion, post-processing changes so caves look even better now.
I've also raised chance for failing cooking a lot, challenging player to raise cooking skill and use different ingredient categories (it raises the chance of success)

Finally, after months of stagnation, Underneath version 0.5.7 is released.
Remember to clear your saves before playing.
• Global Map rework - the map is now proper 3D with lighting and stuff, reworked completely how the map is generated, added biomes, each location has its own name, reworked way depth (location difficulty) is being set
• There are now multiple exits from Ahrnsbrak Fortress, the fortress is open but still kinda blockout
• NPCs now can have Patrol states
• Ability to recruit a mercenary added. It's a goblin for the moment, but when we make proper dwarf model (finally), it will be changed
• Bed added to fortress, you can rest to regenerate health if you're well fed
    You can also sleep in straw beds in dungeons
    Later it will utilize check of nearby fires, resting without a campfire will give a chance of being ambushed during sleeping
• Gathering spots now save and load properly
    Except those on walls, they seem to spawn brown mushrooms, will fix in next version
• Food prices are now way higher
• Added item quality (currently used only in cooking)
• Added water drops VFX in caves
• Added minimap to fortress and fixed (debug) default dungeon minimap
• Fixed (hopefully) a bug causing recipe item wasn't saved in inventory
• Added stat icons
• Fixed barrels missing reference
• Item collider fix
• Trading screen tweaks
• Fixed save / load bugs
• Added new exit icons for minimap
• Equipping items with stash open bug fixed
• Disappearing player item model after trading (hopefully) fixed
• Fixed a bug with travelling while being on a ladder
• Minimap tweaks, more visible stairs / ramps
• Fixed some spelling issues

Played some of the .5.8 release. Fell into in the fortress/city geometry, and got stuck. Almost seemed like there were a lot of connections down below, but not enough that they led back to open space.
Is there a no-clip toggle, or respawn command, or should players just be extra careful when trying to navigate near openings?

@n9103 Yea it was a bug in one of the versions, it's fixed now.
I recommend using Itch app as it will download only changes in files for an update.

There is no such commands in released versions, but I can release a development version with cheats panel accessible with ~ (I have no-clip flying option there) - You think anyone would be interested in such a version?
I mean, things like that shouldn't happen :) I recently worked hard to pinpoint most of important bugs. In this particular case the safety is to open Global Map (N on keyboard) and travel to the same location again ( or other if you please )

My trello looks like that right now (and some of the lists still scroll down..) - red label means it's a bug :) But three lists on the right side is the "DONE" section!

I've changed version numeration because it was getting too close to 1.0 but I'm nowhere near that :)

• Added procedural quests - first iteration
   I've added new NPC in town - you can get quests from him, deliver items, or abandon quests (placeholder panels)
   This is placeholder for a mechanic that will be available to different NPCs through dialogues

• Added backpack item - and changing inventory size mechanic
