In adventure mode, how the heck do you go up and down stairs?

(Sorry, noobish question!)

Oh yeah, how do you attack people, like humans?

1. Use > and <.

2. If they're already hostile you'll attack them just by moving towards them. If not, use 'A'.

Per roguelike tradition, <and> go up and down, respectively. You can normally attack creatures just by walking into them; however, to attack peaceful creatures you most press A while standing next to them.

Oh they will, it's the goblin ARCHERS who won't.

You can also use shift-# and crtl-# to go up/down levels, and shirt-5 and ctrl-5 will use stairs.
