I've greatly enjoyed playing in Adventure mode a few times (version 0.21.104.19b), but I have not found ways to accomplish several things that seem important and basic. Please let me know if anyone knows how to do any of these. Otherwise I guess they are "not done yet" reminders:

1) How to give any kind of orders to adventurer companions, except that they sort of follow the player-character around. It would be very helpful to be able to tell them to stay put, to go someplace or attack someone specific, to stay with someone else, to run away, to take items, etc.

2) How to get adventurer companions to replace their lost equipment.
 Example 1: Archers fire their ammo and never recover it or make/buy more. They then go around bashing things with their
(cross)bow.
 Example 2: An axedwarf dropped his axe in combat, but doesn't recover it afterwards and there seems to be no way to give him a new weapon, even after he's all healed up.

3) No way to retire or dismiss adventurer companions.

4) I have found no way to get more water (or any drink). Should be able to fill waterskin at water sources, but I don't see how.

5) No way to prepare food from dead animals.

6) No way to get coin from merchants or anyone else except to steal it, that I've found, even though merchants do have a pile of coins laying around.

7) No way to do business at dwarven halls, except acquiring bored companions or getting quests.

Yeah, it seems all of those save for 6 are things that just plain aren't implemented yet.

Concerning cash from merchants:  When you sell items, a stack of money appears in their shop which is free for you to grab.

Without #4, though, I think I may be doomed to die of thirst, or at least need to retire each character until a patch adds a way to get water.

In the interim, there are two solutions:

#1) Use the [e]at command near a murky pool of water.  You can only drink from a murky pool when you're thirsty -- otherwise your character turns his nose up at it (what a ponce).

#2) Any travelling on the world map immediately recovers all of your injuries, thirst, and hunger.  This is a temporary feature until all three of those systems are handled more accurately.

Thanks for the info about the gold being on the ground. I would go to ruins and sell about 600gold worth of amulets/idols/earrings ect but not be able to buy armor from the next shop over. I hadnt realized my gold was sitting hwere i sold the stuff  .

Also, what are the stats for jewerey?

How do you get faster stronger and tougher? How do you get those if you dont start out being strong rough or quick?
