What about leaving the slabs in the backpack then dropping the pack?

What about leaving the slabs in the backpack then dropping the pack?

That works, but then all the three artifacts are still clumped together in the same backpack.

And if the backpack is left on a pedestal and the site is off-loaded, I think the artifacts will then scatter upon reloading the site (I think this happens with containers on pedestals? Might remember wrong, though...).

I'll probably just end up having Cañar carry the stuff in his backpack if I don't get them to stay on a pedestal somewhere. As long as they remain with him, I don't think they'll be much of a problem. I hope.

But yeah, no idea where the elephant man will head once I retire him somewhere. I know that Ova actually left for some personal mission of his, so it's quite likely that the same will happen with other adventurers too.

@AvolitionBrit

Here's the save:
https://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=16417

No real ingame time limits this time, but preferably not more than a month or two.

(Didn't do much off-screen, so nothing to report there. Maybe at some point we'll get a glimpse of what necromancer Cañar is up to.)

Excited to see what's unfolded since we last heard about the goings on of this world.

I awoke in the night, the horrors. Dark goings on in the world. My mind floods with images of a slab, armies of undead and horrific creatures twisted into humanoid form. I need to get out there.

I travel from hamlet to hamlet, city to city preaching the glorious word of Osed.

I lead sermons to enhance my gods belief in the people

My visions started to come true, i saw a goblin warband fighting in a hamlet as i fled

The people continue to listen

I overhear tales of adventures and a fortress

I make my way there to see a wartent and ambush set up, i sneak past sleeping capyfighters.

I meet an elven bard and start to chat when they launch their attack

My teeth knocked out, beaten and bruised i start to prey to Osed

Osed hears my prayers and someone enguages the capybara warband, the residents fight back

My nose bleeds, my body aches and I faint from it all.

Ooh, that's interesting to see capies out of Waterlures that (I think) aren't created by players.

No update, but...

Might take some time before I get to my turn. I've started a rather large addition to my mod stuff, so I'm spending most time on it currently and it may take a week or two before I get it done, so probably no Waterlures stuff going to happen during that time.

But, if someone wants to have a go and do more adventure stuff, you're free to do so. Just make a post and claim the save.

No update, unfortunately.

I've been having difficulties starting to play (whether that be Waterlures or testing mod stuff), which isn't a new thing -- it's always been the biggest hurdle for me. (And sleeping really crappily for a week or so hasn't really helped.)

But my intention is to get things rolling before next weekend. Either Waterlures or then a test fort for the mod (I'll probably make a thread for it, if it's stable enough). If that fails, I'll at the very least do (or try to) an unretirement cleanup in Waterlures so that someone else can have a shot at overseering the village. This option might have some time progress ingame without a proper update, though. (But I guess it'd be better than not going forward at all?)

...Gah, it's really frustrating with all the difficulty to start/continue, since I haven't lost motivation/interest in Waterlures and know that once I get things moving it'll go more or less smoothly. But then again, this has gone better than I expected for a first try in doing a succession game. Just hoping there won't be a too long break, since that'll make it harder to continue.

I'll still be eagerly awaiting the next installment, no matter how long it takes.

capy's are in vogue right now and I have no idea why. waterlures was my first inclination that the new order was upon us.
