Other races' equivalents of "Urist"
« on: August 11, 2022, 10:23:32 am »

So, are there any generally accepted generic names for the non-dwarven races?  Like a human, elven, or goblin equivalent of "Urist McWhatever"?  (Yes, I know they all have their own words for dagger, that's not what I mean.)

The only elf name I remember is Cacame, but that refers to a specific elf not elves in general. Usually when I want to refer to elves I just call them hippies or cannibals

Ngost and Puk stand out as Goblin and Human names respectively.

If I want to make fun of an elf, I call it "Falafel".

Other than that, Iferi feels right to me.

Ngost and Puk stand out as Goblin and Human names respectively.

Ngost is the most goblin name ever.

I usually use Stosbûb (hate, pronounced "stosboob") for generic goblins, but ever since I encountered an obese goblin commander named Arstruk (demon) I've been fond of that one as well.
