That's a pretty good point. Here's a proposal:
*Card Name: Meteor Shower
*Card Picture:
*Background Color: black
Attack: high
Hearts: none
Stars: 2?
Card Effect: This card's attack is spread randomly among all cards in play. Gain one star for every card (from either side) destroyed by this card.
Flavor Text: The sun goes out, the stars come down.
Metadata: star production, spell
Reference:

What do you think? Then next turn we could make a one-heart trash mob with some kind of replicating ability to go with it, perhaps.

Zombie outbreak if going for undead I suppose. That's a pretty good card for area destruction though.

Next design phase begins now!

As a one time event, all players on Team 1 may create 1 additional card this turn. This is done in order to even out the number of cards each team has. This will also be the last design phase before the first combat phase!

It seems to me that you'll need to do a bit of upkeep on the windmill via card synergy.

Make a spell card, something like a "gust of wind", that produces a star for every windmill on the field, and also has a small attack.
If Supernerd will allow it, you could even change the windmill to say that it produces one star when its "wind effect" is triggered, then say that the spell triggers the wind effects of all cards on the field, so you could go on making more wind things as an ongoing theme.

I'm just... A bit tired of most of my cards needing other cards to do stuff. Windmill can't block, so you spent your turn's action on something that doesn't do much at base.

Doesn't help I'm sick now.

If you want a card that doesn't need other cards to do something, just write that in its card effect or something.

Well, I was going to wait to hear back, but I'll just go ahead and follow my original plan.

*Card Name: Beetle Brood
*Card Picture:
*Background Color: brown
Attack: 1
Hearts: the rest
Stars: 1?
Card Effect: While this card has more than one heart, it may spend half (rounded down) of its remaining hearts before attacking to place a copy of this card with the spent number of hearts directly into play. The copy does not go to the graveyard when destroyed and cannot be returned to the hand. When the attack of any Beetle Brood destroys a card, all Beetle Broods on its side gain one heart.
Flavor Text: Serve the hive. Feel the groove.
Metadata: replicator, chaff, consumer
Reference: it's just a bug

Is this reasonable?

From my cards, my starter deck type is mostly reliant on my terrain bonus. Reducing max HP to shut down weaker cards.

Also, we can make another card this round in addition to our one. If running star cards, generation is needed.

I didn't miss that there were two cards, I just wanted to see if Tric had anything to say first, plus I have barely had time today.

I spent a long time trying to find a good ghost. Eventually I just settled for... a ghost.

Yay! My power is finally back on! (It got shut off back on friday, only got turned back on today. Perfect timing for when I joined something, right?)

Stars: Free
Card Effect: Broomstick Witch can only be blocked by flying enemies normally.
Flavor Text: A very traditional witch.
Metadata: Low cost flying attacker.

*Card Name: Big Friendly Ghost

*Background Color: Purple
Attack: Middling
Hearts: Middling
Stars: 0 Cost
Card Effect: When Big Friendly Ghost is flipped face up, it gives a card a jump scare and sends it back to its owners hand.
Flavor Text: Boo!
Metadata: It's not strong on its own, but it can flip to remove something annoying. At least for a bit.
Reference: It's a ghost!

I had some other ideas, but I can't find the pictures I had in mind so maybe next time.

The Battle Phase is now beginning!

Refer to the second post of the Core Thread to see a list of regions and their effects. You now get to pick one as your preferred battlefield. Note that a region is not guarunteed to be a battlefield unless a player from both teams chooses it. If your region is not chosen you will instead play in a random one that was chosen by the opposing team. You will want to build your deck while considering the possibility that you might not fight on your favored terrain, such is the chaos of war!

As a reminder, you cannot pick a preferred region already picked by someone else on your team for this round.

You will also need to pick what cards you want to put in your 40 card deck!
