I stand beside the door, improvised weapon in hand.  I saw and heard that, so I stay ready.

I wait a good 15 minutes, listening to the storm outside and watching that @*##$#* door in case it or something on the other side of it does decide to do something else, then realize it's time to take a break, I'm not in the mood to work anymore.

I take it the ready next to my name indicates that I'm waiting on Knightwing to post for my turn.

And I take it as I'm 'trying to take a break', probably within my office.  Snacks, reading a book, and occasionally frowning at that oh-so-aggravating doorknob, with an improvised weapon nearby, just in case.

(I really don't know what scene cooldown means in a game like this.)

Who are you, and what was your business on the island before the power outage?

I do not know.
I've always been here for as long as i remember.
I get food, but the ones who give it to me are not like me. They walk on two legs like me and are the same size as me, but they don't have feathers or a tail.
They make lots of noise, but one noise was always there whenever they came to give me food; "Pearl".
The harsh white light is gone now, and no one's come to give me food.
The barrier that sapped my warmth and kept me from moving has disappeared.
What am I to do? Where am I?

I shoot in the general direction of whatever just disappeared.

I hope art is okay.  Here's my oblivious accountant, unaware of the trouble outside, trying to get work done while eying that doorknob that tried to turn.  Ignorance is bliss!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Come back when you're ready if you want, RoseHeart!  I'm enjoying this.
