After some training, both recruits of the squad Blockaded Riddled Elbows progressed into proper axedwarf.
The zombies caught the scent and found the watch dog. Poor doggo died.
Sea and river froze up, killing a giant sponge and some sturgeons.
Built cage trap corridor. Opened the gate. Elf zombies were caged. Two dwarves went out to clean the dead dog's blood and got stranded. One died. A mechanic who was loading the cage trap, when spotting the enemies, instead of running back, ran up to fight them and got killed. Worst of all, those mutants turned out to be trap avoiders. This was getting messy, but then the game crashed and an hour's progress was lost. The gate was not yet opened, and those few dwarves weren't dead. The new plan: repeating spikes.
The bunch of mutants had turned the grassed ground into bare clay as they were milling around at the edge of the map.
Sea and river thawed. Dead sponge and dead sturgeons became zombies. The zombies converted yet an ostrich. The dead sturgeons walked and chased a visiting human swordsman around.
The spikes were finished. The gate was open. First, the zombies. Elf zombies and skeletal sturgeons, successfully caught. Then the mutants. Trapped them just in front of the obsidian door. Repeating the spikes. Very slowly, these large mutants fell one by one. About half a month later, only one remained. The obsidian door was now XX=obsidian door=XX. It's time for the soldiers. The two dwarves were put to test against a real, though much crippled, enemy. After a few days, they managed to kill the last mutant, Atir, who once was a dwarf, now a large bird-bug mutant. A visiting speardwarf finished off the last rogue elf zombie. The first siege was thus broken. Now it's already 7th felsite 78, almost half a year since the siege began.

The two axedwarves were ordered to kill them. The two, though managed to killed a few zombie birds, died in the fight. The remaining lovebird zombies were alos disemboweled. They were dragging their intestines like a tassel while flying in the air. The new militia: Astesh Ushrirtitthal and Mosus Uzolishen.

A caravan from Ibeshendok has arrived. Attacked by zombie lovebirds, they refused to trade and left. Two animals dropped their load. The guards killed all the remaining zombies but one. The last one kept on fighting. It killed two merchants, a guard, and injured two dwarves passing by, before finally died. Mistem Othiloddom, one of the injured, lost his ability to grasp. Unable to do any job anymore, Mistem was enrolled in the militia. Hopefully he would grow into a fierce biter.

The goblin flusher was set in operation. Two problems appeared.
1. The flow was so strong, that there were little chunks of 4/7 water that stopped pathing.
2. Though it was a 70 level drop, the last 20 levels were water, which cushioned the victim, who mostly survived. Out of the half a hundred, only two died from falling.
The intake had to be closed and opened regularly to adjust the water flow. An atom smasher was being built next to the bottom of the shaft, where the zombies were falling down to one by one.
The atom smasher was done. Now Asen Sibrekakath (who also made the first artifact of this fort) went to deconstruct the wall that stood between the atom smasher and 20 levels of water and 2 pages of zombies. As soon as the wall was removed, all those zombies spilt out and instantly killed Asen. Then the atom smasher began to work, crushing away the number of zombies.
Deler rose and joined the dead.

3 zombie crow men killed Deduk Koganthocit, Bard, and then Besmar Ducimzatthud, Suturer, and then injured a farmer. Astesh the militia commander arrived and killed the zombies. The farmer, Zan Alathstigil, was saved, but he was exhausted from the fight.

A door was built at where the underground highway led into the lobby, to control traffic. Every time a kobold passed through it, the door was taken. To retake the door, a dwarf needed to pass through it. An unlinked lever was built outside the door, so that it could make a dwarf walk there and pull it, when the door needed to be retaken. A statue of kobold was put right next to the lever. The statue, -gabbro statue of Koboboker-, depicted Koboboker the kobold embracing his wife Peembus the kobold.

Stopped gathering eggs, moving elk hens to nest room. Things didn't go as planned. The three elk hens ran to the nestboxes as soon as they were removed from the pasture and immediately laid eggs, before the dwaves had any chance to chain them. After that, however, they didn't stay put sitting on their eggs. Rather, they oscillated between the nestbox and an adjacent tile. This most likely killed the eggs. Anyway, a season later and there would be a result.

Gened, the horned crocodile with poisonous gas, took this tunnel and began its ascension into the fort. On its way up, Gened killed a gremlin. As soon as it entered the lobby, the sparring soldiers swarmed Gened. A macedwarf hit it with a silver flail and sent all the many crocodile teeth flying. After some intense action, an axedwarf finally beheaded Gened. Curiously, Gened never once used its poisonous gas while fighting the soldiers.
One of the elk hens was hungry. Three dwarves were also stuck at Train Elk Bird task, to the point of getting hungry and thirsty. The dwarves were freed when the three elk hens' trainers were set from "any trainer" to "none". A few other dwarves were activated with Animal Care, who hopefully would feed the hungry elk hens.

The enemies slowly walked into the flusher. The pioneer was a beardless dwarf recruit. Amxu quickly dropped, from z 80 to z 10. Stozu escaped the water flow and marched toward the inner fort. Stozu was then caged. A few trolls were also quick enough to escape the flow. One of them encountered a wild elk bird on the stairway. The bird died but still pecked the troll quite badly. The troll crawled to the main level (z 60) and started to destroy the door just in front of the lobby.
Ast Bimmozib, Bard was also caught in the flusher, currently combating the flow.

Zuglar the monster slayer, going out and in, back and forth, having a kill count of 12, miraculously avoided forgotten beasts, invading armies, swinging drawbridges all the time.
Though the production order was set at maximal 10 eshiks, and 17 ones were already produced, the dwarves were still making more and more eshiks. Maybe the ones stored in the tavern chests were not counted for the condition of the order.
The second 21x21 pasture was done drying. It was accessed through a 11 tile long corridor with cage traps. This was for the animals not yet fully domesticated, the elk birds and the giant olms.

[] factory finished. It consisted of a working area of 3 craftshops and 1 magma smelter, a bunker with 3 sets of table, chair, and bed, and store rooms for meat, booze, mugs, and empty pots. [] strand was excluded from the general cloth stockpile, which the loom was set to take from. Incidentally, one of the tables was in microcline, the faux [].
Started draining the flusher, to retrieve whatever loot that might have any value. The water drained to a floor grate, collecting the loots there. Underneath, an atom smasher destroyed the water.

The Cyclops Shesam Rimtaromrist Kesting Thukkan has come! Shesam was caged. This cyclops was displayed at the tavern, beside a statue depicting the event of Shesam killing a human in year 33.
One of the slaughtered elk bird produced a cobaltite gizzard stone.
Giant olm is adult upon birth, and can't be gelded. Olm explosion. All but the two first caught olms were designated for slaughtering.

Some migrants have arrived.
Probably it's time to solve the problem of Isa, flying snail with deadly blood, trapped for three years already. Three squads were stationed near the trap. The drawbridge was lowered. Isa snailed out, flapping its snail wings. Avuz the speardwarf quickly skewered this beast, without getting any blood on his hands even.

Isa produced 211 meat.
Isa's blood caught 2 cats and a kitten. It was necrotic. The kitten happened to die within the evil area and rose as a zombie. The zombie appeared as "cat corpse" but not "kitten corpse".
Etur Kengkilrud, the piglet, also died. No combat message. Etur was pastured, away from any traffic. There was no reason Etur would have picked up any of Isa's blood. The corpse was also completely clean.

Mistem Luzlemzulban became unfocused. This was one of the survivors of an giant lovebird zombie attack in year 78.
Isa's blood continued to kill more cats.
Ustuth Egenavuz, the retired fisherdwarf, was attacked by the buck rabbit that she tried to geld. Ustuth collapsed to the ground with fear. "She is shocked after being attacked. She feels satisfied after gelding a creature."

Nil Mishosalath liked spear and spears were mandated. He seemed to be bothered by his substandard office, so a new weapon trap went there, with the artifact adamantine disc Rulethbesh Fashlakal.

The dead walk. Hide while you still can! Zombies of goblins and humans. And Night's Hounds, large monkeys with antennae, mutated from dogs, created by dwarf necromance Id Blazedorbs of Patternedmongers (the tower northwest from the fort) in Entrysoaked (can't find this place on map) in the year 66. Also "Id's disaster", horned maggot created from beak dogs, also by Id Blazedorbs.
Levers were pulled. Drawbridges swung. The flusher started. The undeads went to chase a pack of wild dingoes.
Vutok Emilral, poet is visiting. The NE entry is opened. Vutok quickly enters before drawing any attention from the enemies.
The flusher claimed the first kill, Smenre the Night's Hound. A month later, the flusher had killed all the night's hounds, some of the id's disaster, and captured half of the zombies. The four remaining id's disaster escaped the flow and passed the flusher. They were killed by the soldiers. It turned out that they could be butchered and each had 25 meat.
The spikes at the bottom of the flusher slowly chipped away the captured zombies bit by bit. Only 3 left. There were yet also 3 zombies uncaptured, chasing ostriches around the map.

Rovod got a few cuts and bruises but survived the encounter. Dwarves arrived and carried Fikod to the hospital. Rovod sat beside the bed and watched Fikod.

The lumberjacks in the caverns encountered a giant cave spider. The dwarves punched the spider, but the spider didn't throw any web, for some reason.
A dwarf went to clean some place in the cavern, dangerously close to this spider. Fortunately, the many pillars in that area cut the line of sight. A curious kitten followed. When the cleaning was finished, the returning dwarf and the arriving kitten were stuck in some kind of a pathing loop. They bumped into each other, and re-pathed, and went around a pillar, only to bump into each again, and re-pathed, and again and again, all this time being just a few pillars away from the spider, yet unseen. A few loops later, they managed to snap out of it and both were on their way back to the fort.
