I find it fun the first apex Predator isn't the Perfect Predator. But there is a reason Birds are king.

Or Slimes.

Just you wait…
At some point they're be able to track you down and eat you.

I will drain the life from your slimes.

For I am the perfect predator. And you are NOTHINGGGGG

(Wonder if it’s ever going to get to the point of us developing tech and stuff)

Question. Are the turnips still Benthic? Since they seem to debuff all other animals.

They are not. Turnips are obligate parasites that move only for a short time throught their lifespans, spending most of their time attached to another creature. They are outside that kind of classification.

Keep on forgetting they're more parasites than predators.

Yeah, the game will expand as time goes on. At some point, you three will have so many species that the game will grind down to a halt. Because you simply can't develop that too many.

Which hopefully involves an action to cut them loose, hopefully. Let them develop on their own.

I'm mostly trying a way around that mind you. Being able to pass along useful evolutions to others in the line.

Who's the Apex now?Giant, that's who   (And does that mean the Sludgiboo has solved the infection?)

Team X2
1: Improve cross-species RNA pollination on Flagellating Snatchiblie: Take 4!
2: Giant becomes King Sludgiboo, developing a proto-brain within the core/heart.

LGEM #1 Speciate into two sister species Slimesucker Seagranate:
- A: Mutate muscular/tendon system so the spines can be stabbed at prey
- B: Mutate camoflage to go unnoticed by predators and prey

LGEM #2 Speciate into two sister species Scattery Pinecovy:
- A: Mutate an immune system into its open-circulatory system
- B: Mutate eyes so can actually spot predators and algae

I will not stand for this.

Mutation 1: In response to increased predation from the giants, the Tracker Turnips develop even stronger electric shocks that not only increases their combat abilities, but also lures the giants to them, which is where the second mutation comes in.

Mutation 2: The Tracker Turnip learns to disguise their bio electricity into a perfect match for the giants, and as the electro sense is their only way of sight, they won’t be able to disguise a hostile turnip from a friendly giant, which will be their doom.

Turn 9

The Events

Power: 55
Temperament: 5

The Actions
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The World

A new strain of algea has appeared on the seamount. Instead of being microplanktonic, these algea grow in small clusters on the sandy soil, and have quickly made the place an actual meadow. This affects nothing in regards to the wellbeing of the  pre-existing ecosystem, since you are all filterfeeders to some extent and have no adaptations to eat or actively seek this food source.

Diarrhea Cownut and Acidic Blechiboo are extinct due to being outcompeted.

The Guguli Shallows | Algea Prairie Biome | (10/15 species)
Spoiler: Local Species (click to show/hide)

Was already looking for a way to intruduce the multicelluar plants lol. I was going to force them in turn 10, but this is more natural.

1: Improve the cross-species population of Flagellating Snatchiblie, again: 2+1+(-2)=1 (GODDAMMIT DICE GODS) (You realise that you aren't specifying where to put the SS roll so it defaults to your first roll, right?)

Yes, yes I do. The Dice Gods apparently love it.

King Sludgiboo has no qualms about eating its own kin.
More Slime for the King Slime. Haha.

Team X2
Improve the cross-species pollination ability of Flagellating Snatchiblie, Take 5!
King Sludigboo splits in two lines.
\The First improves it's processing ability, to the point of being able to identify prey types and recognize patterns. And developing a structure around it's core.
\The Second turns the mass into a more shifting form like a pancake, taking advantage of the algae that have formed to hoover up the new food source. While smaller in mass, it's body manipulation and algae diet renders it a green color that blends in with it's primary food source.
