Very pleased with this outcome so far. Should the remaining Burrower Nubnub have received a liver or somesuch?

How dare you, a symbiotic relationship is supposed to be good for both parties. All you are trying to do is take. I won’t accept it.

Literally Turnip: The turnip develops the ability to store/stockpile electricity for later use. If the turnip is killed, either by a predator or host shenanigans, it emits all of this stored up electricity and any chemicals they have stored up to take their killer down with it.

Literally Turnip: Develop new chemicals that will work on even the strangest of host’s. Too often they get saddled with slimy abominations.

Majoral Turnip: Taking inspiration from their smaller brethren, these turnips constantly secrete a tailor made chemical blend to strengthen muscles and up reaction time.

Speciate Surfacing Yunus into two sister species:

A: Give a long horn (improve spines for it?) for skewering enemies, scraping plants etc. [SS]
B: Improve fins, flattening out to leave a powerful set of tail flippers and hand flippers (a bit like a seal) so it can bask on shore, and send to Lauv Island

Speciate Shore Dikencovy into two sister species:
1: Mutate a mouth pouch (like a hamster) to store seagrass to feed on later
2. Evolve advanced microbiome for better digestion, but really so that the droppings on the seashore are more likely to grow interesting new life [SS]

Speciate Tiktaalik Terrub:
1: Improve brain to add an instinct to farm: to gather up plantlife and put it in rockpools and tend it, spreading its food availability
2: As its life-cycle still involves going into the water, evolve minituarisation, becoming so small it can hitch a ride on bigger species. [SS]

Turn 27

The Events

Power: 86
Temperament: 6

The Actions
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The World

Seaweed have evolved onto land and became something very convergent on grass. They grow on the barren soil  and have turned the place into a giant prairie. There are no trees. Yet.

Turnip-Barbesium symbiosis is now marginally better. Most of the drugz seep off the fins. But the Barbesium is still in a constant high, just not in the sky.

Lauv Island | Grassland Island | (5/5 species)

Team X2
Seaside Sludgebush develops airborne spores. There is much grass to eat, so many shall be born.
Pixie Barbesium develop lighter than air gasbladers from Skyward Blimpie crosspolination. This moves them from pure benthic to one capable of more hunting grounds. [SS Roll]
Pixie Barbesium speciates,
\One also develop heightened reaction times from the drugs. While high, the symbiosis continues to be improved. [+1 to an underdeveloped trait.]
\The other bucks the Turnip cultivation entirely, developing it's body to be extremely poisonous to other forms of life. [SS Roll]

Haha, look who's top predator now (in one specific biome)!

Improve Baitfarmer's farming instinct, so now it herds slimes as well (primarily for injecting with eggs)- hopefully that way the Terrubs may no longer need to return to the ocean as part of its lifecycle [SS]

Mutate Hamster Dikencovy, evolve inflatable outer-layer of skin, to allow rolling as a ball across the island!

Speciate Landmower Sazan:

1. Develop sharp teeth (perhaps improving on spine production). Along with the existing jaw, this may hopefully turn this Sazan into a more formidable predator (it's already big enough to swallow most of the lesser species whole).
2.  Develop emotional intelligence even further, allowing shoaling with other species of Sazan [SS]

Emergency fix on the electric battery for executioner turnip.

Increase the executioner turnip’s body control to the point where it can control the bodies systems to squash any possible resistance.

Use the overflowing acid to the sore turps advantage, increasing its potency and allowing it to secrete very strong acid.

Bruh

Nobody’s trying to kill the host’s.

I’m just getting insurance.

Besides, you’ll be fine, the body control works through chemicals and electricity for now.

Also, I expect you to start making some contributions to this relationship to help my turps, this isn’t a one way street bud.

To quote Naruto, pay your rent. They get food for living. If w eat any excess, it's only because they are still protoanimals without a mean of reproduction.

Okay, we seem to be mistaking which of us is providing the chemicals and who isn’t, make things more comfy for my turps or I’ll find a different provider of a non slimy variation.
