Turn 11: Artefactual

Onward Still, Fyla compresses her power into the Font of Feasting, a large horn comprised of fruits, berries, and vegetables ready to be plucked. But take care, for while it may feed the one, it may also feed itself should you take too much. Xion Clock instead casts their power, imbuing a simple staff with wanderlust and placing it within the Empty Isle. It drops from nowhere, and washes up on the shore for them to find. Or trip over in this case.

The Igwam to find the artifact was part of the wood-gathering group today. No ferns on the beach, but an interesting time might have awaited them.
Sadly this bit of wood can't be broken or used, nor does it's wanderlust infect the tribeslizard, this time at least..

The Fae spend their time lounging about, playing games and admiring the flower's pretty colors. So unaware are they that 2 food disappear into the stomachs of the wildlife, but they'll still have plenty and more with the Cornucopia answering their prayers.

The Wraiths have gathered around their Tree of All Knowledge, spending a night to feed carefully upon their gathered supplies and talk. The mists continue to gather and new members be born from their past, as the Elder watches on slightly optimistic about their chances for the future. Truly, Xilon Klok is kind to bless them.

In the distance, the fog of the unmade waters glints.

[The Sound of a Great Wind Rushing Through The Void]

The wraiths gather in a clearing within the Fading Foryst. Today is their promised feast-day to the great Xilon Klok. Their prayers rise skyward, a cascade of devotion to the Great Ticking One, the Clock That Winds Itself On Gears Fearful of Their Own Shape, the Terror That Lurks Between The Moments. They give thanks for the great mountain, which grants them bounty. They give thanks for the continued passage of time, and for the ever-changing blessings that have been bestowed upon them.

Their cries into the void can be heard for miles, the Elder chiefest among them. For the occasion, they even bring forth one of their precious rations, brought with them across the void from a past that never was, and share it between themselves, giving praises to It That Lays in Wait Beneath Time Itself and Cannot Be Ignored for bringing them out of that forgotten history, and into new time and a new space. Praise be to Xilon Klok!

The Verdant Commonwealth

The Fae are overjoyed to find the Font of Feastyng.  While it won’t provide very much food (unless they want to risk disaster…), it will serve to extent what they already have.
Meanwhile, the Fae decide that figuring out this “free magic” stuff is of utmost priority and, thus, they dedicated all but one of their number to the task.  The remaining Fae admires Fyla’s Favor and raises here voice to the heavens,  praising Fyla and thanking her for the Font of Feastyng.  In addition to the 1 food item that they extract from the Font of Feastyng, luck has it that nothing is stolen from the stockpiles in the Fylan Foliage.

4 Fae research “free magic” [F6], producing 4 RP.
1 Fae admires Fyla’s Favor, and prays to Fyla [F6], providing Fyla with 1 FP.

Fyla’s Favor provides 1 FP, which is dedicated to Fyla.
Fyla’s Favor provides another 1 RP.
The 1 RP leftover from before is applied to the “free magic” research.
The Fae extract 1 food item from the Font of Feastyng.

Spoiler: Fyla (click to show/hide)

Fyla sees the third of her Children.
She sees them turn her back on her, well and truly.
And she offers them a reminder of who the trees they roost upon belong to.
"Fettered Feathyrs."

A painted wooden token of a woman with hair of flowyrs and skin of fawyn, her eyes of emerald and hands of chitin.
Let it be known, that thou must merely ask.

While this artifact is held, the tribe's home tile has dramatically improved depletion thresholds as well as lowered danger rolls. However, whenever a worker Hunts or Prays to a god other than Fyla, their home tile will suffer a level of depletion unless a foraging worker is there to counteract it.
I.E
Two workers hunt, two workers research, and one worker forages the home tile.
The home tile suffers 2-1 levels of depletion for a total of 1.

Xilon Klok Looks upon Fyla's Fettered Feathyrs, and deposits an artifact of his own with the wraiths to choose how its used.

The Madgod's Bargain
A box or chest of strange red wood- covered with carvings of strange beasts eating of themselves, the trees, the sky, and even the earth beneath their feet.
Take what you need, what you want, what you desire, and from what you don't you shall be as fed as this relic is.

Converts resources to Food at a 2 - 1 ratio.
Converts workers to food at a 1 - (pop/2) ratio
Converts Artifacts to food at an unstable ratio
"Freely" creates 1 food per turn given the labor of 1 worker, to a cap of 1 per turn.

Turn 12: Cursed Blessing and Blessed Curse

Xilon Klok, Xilon Klok, Xilon Klok. The sound of prayer sounds out across the world Publica, all dedicated to their newfound god. Fyla, Fickle as she is, is displesed at "her children", choosing to craft a visage to showcase her displeasure. It is a blessing, and a curse, and if left alone could eventually drain all life from a tile. Not yet, the clock says, with the Madgod's Bargain being made to cultivate food in absence, time to wait and time to harvest, wood to stone to fruit to flesh.

The Igwam Tribe have done it, having devised a set of tools that will greatly ease their live going forward. Two Introverts even manage a small child, tinier than even the others once hatched. Though they shall grow quickly, and their tribe's tendency towards intellect shines within it's eyes..

The Fae themselves continue their play at learning how to interact with magical energy, with small bursts of wind and light spooking away wildlife. Truly carefree as Fyla's Favor blesses them as it's admired from time to time, and the Font providing a bit of odd fruit to liven up their diet.

[The Sound of a Great Wind Rushing Through The Void]

The light dawns upon a new day. The light of the sun glints off of polished wood and gleaming emerald of Fyla's effigy. Her power seeps into the world around them, calling down the punishment of accursed blessings. This curse shall doom our land, if we do nothing. We must consider our options. For now, we shall make do with what blessings we have.

The box gifted from Xilon Klok is accepted with great delight, the gift granted by the madness lurking beneath time appreciated with celebration. They lament in their hearts that Fyla's gift would make any worshipful response a danger to the health of their precious Foryst. Please have merciful patience, O great Xilon Klok, we will grant you worship in time.

Despite the blessings and curses of gods, the wraiths turn their minds towards survival. The cursed blessing of Fyla has strengthened their Foryst, and so the wraiths reap the fruits of the Foryst in quantities previously unsustainable. They also gathered the fruits of the Flatlaynds, struggling against the acidic blight that has overcome that land. Perhaps we may have a use for a "blessing" that steals life from a land. Something to consider for the future

Despite the Curse against hunting, the Wraiths continue to study it undaunted. The Tree of All Knowledge gains more and more etching, and the Elder pulls his second into completing the study of Pack Hunting. Breakthrough is reached, and the Wraiths gain a new mastery of their hunting, blending the art and science of hunting together into unified Doctrine, combining Tactics and Strategy. Their talons shall reap, and they shall consume the blessings of flesh and blood.

The Igwam Tribe

The Igwam are mortified to find out that foraging tools are much much less effective than they initially thought. Regardless, they create the things. It would be ridiculous not to at this point.

One of the Igwam prays to Fyla. It is not immediately clear why.

A horrible sound comes from the mists, and then there was light.
K11 is now aflame, K11 has now always been aflame.
As a flame that burns history itself his bursts from the earth that none remember not being there.
Enlightening the surface so that all may track where they are, with a flame that burns itself eternally within the memories of all living things.
finally comes a proclamation, law bound by land and flame and blood.

SO LONG AS THE FIRES BURN.
BY ONE FORTH FASTER WILL THE WORLD TURN.
MAY THIS STAND TRUE AS IT WAS.
AS IT WILL ALWAYS BE.

The Flame Eternal has been made in K11.
Or perhaps was always in K11?
Meh historians can debate it.

The Flame Eternal[EXTREME-TILE][IMAGE]
A seemingly endless desert, rendered lifeless, barren, and uninhabitable by the flame that burns time.
Blazing from the Center of this desert, its Asure flames burn their light into the mind of any being that sees them.
Allowing them to track their position relative to the flame irregardless of time and place.
This is not its main effect, its main effect is speeding up the passage of time by causing an additional 1/4th of a turn to pass with each turn.
adding up to the passage of an extra turn every 4th  turn.

Spoiler: Fyla (click to show/hide)

Perhaps somewhat heavy-handed, the token did as expected. Nonetheless, other things demanded her attention.
Fyla creates the "Fraturyd Falchion" for the Igwam, and the "Floral Fountyn" is granted to the First and Beloved Fae.

"Fracturyd Falchion":
A shattered sword of unknown make held together through magical vines weaved around and through it. Able to be carried by a single unit.
Whenever said unit is part of a group that rolls for danger, add the group's combat bonus to the roll, regardless of what it is or if it has already been added. Whenever the unit is in combat, add the group's danger mitigation to the roll.

"Floral Fountyn":
An overgrown fountain made from solid oak. It's water long dried up, instead traces of magic flow through it's channels.
A unit may be assigned to this artifact. They may not be reassigned until the next opening of Fyla's Favor.
This unit may not research anything other than magical subjects, and they may not leave the home tile. However, they gain an appreciable boost to research speed of magical subjects.
Exact numbers left to GM specifications, I'm no balance expert.

"I am unsure as to why you've made everything faster, Xilon, though I suppose this does mean the world will be shaken up more often, which is for the best."

Turn ?: The End of the World

SO LONG AS THE FIRES BURN.
BY ONE FORTH FASTER WILL THE WORLD TURN.
MAY THIS STAND TRUE AS IT WAS.
AS IT WILL ALWAYS BE.

The Flame Eternal has been made in K11.
Or perhaps was always in K11?
Meh historians can debate it.

[/quote]

The world burns. Or perhaps it would be more correct to say time is burning away from both ends. Emerging from a past that has always been, burning away the future that would have been. 3 turns pass in the blink of a divine's eye.

The [The Sound of a Great Wind Rushing Through The Void] find themselves withing faster than they can comprehend, their supplies going up in smake as the mist burns. Barely, barely enough to survive the sudden passage, one falls forevermore, never to arise.

The Igwam Tribe is far less fortunate, having only enough for a single passing. However, they somehow find a way, eating of their own kin in the flames, with 2 remaining.

And the Fae... Oh the Fae. 3 fall prey to the passage of time, the burning of mana from both ends. Their minds broken as they attack their kin, maddened with hunger.

The Clock has struck 0, an in their actions brought low many civilizations. By divine logic, it is Turn 15: The End of the World as they knew it. And at the end of this turn The Clock shall strike 0 once more.

Turn 13: The Blade of Ice
Spending the power, Mu takes back the reains of Ending, granting protection and new begining. Though it exhausts them, a massive tower of ice impacts the site where the Eternal Flame shall burn. An Artifact of truly massive scale, made to be opened by Mortals alone to signal the ending of Publica once more.

The earth burns hot around the tower even as snow fall on the jagged peaks of the impact crater. Parts like molten glass stick out around it.
Aftershocks can still be felt by the Fae, as their home has gained echoes of those lost to the burning of time. The other two however emerge relatively unscathed, though the knowledge that the world would have ended in such a way haunts the survivors.

Xilon Klok has gained an Aspect: Fire.
Mu has been exhausted. Their FP has been revealed. Currently 0.
Aftershocks are still felt from the Event. Fyla's Favor has died and returned to Fyla's Favor. The other tribes have emerged relatively free of impact.
