After-Action Report
Aleks had proven to be a little bit of an issue lately. His refusal to go along with the rest of his family at Loz and Sons had begun to bring attention to incidents that SFS intelligence would much rather people forget about entirely. So Kirill Popov found himself dealing with the drunk once more. This was probably his most annoying job by far.
Kirill pulled Aleks' head out of the toilet and let him gasp for air.
"No more bullshit," Kirill spoke flatly.
"But I-" Aleks started before being cut off by dirty water filling his mouth as he was dunked into the toilet once more. Kirill counted to ten in his head before pulling Aleks up once more.
"No more bullshit," Kirill spoke again with the same exact tone as before.
"PLEAS-" Aleks found his words stifled again by toilet water. Ten seconds later and he was pulled back up gasping for air.
"No more bullshit," Kirill repeated once more.
Aleks choked for a moment. Kirill prepared to shove his head in again but, feeling Kirill tense up, Aleks shouted, "NO MORE BULLSHIT! NO MORE BULLSHIT!"
"Good," Kirill said as he released Aleks, "Clean yourself up, don't want an infection," he said, pointing at the split eyebrow Kirill had given him, "And remember: No bullshit, or next time it'll be a bullet to the head."
And, as easy as that,
Loz and Sons was Secure, along with their Advantage Credit.

Westlan Broadcast Center had seen an increased security presence since the previous attempt to liberate the workers here from UNSA's influence, but the increased security was notably a little more relaxed - especially if you were a legitimate guest. Nadia Antonova was going to be a temporary cast member on a radio show and, thanks to her status, was afforded a great deal of freedom. She'd brought documents disguised as scripts and managed to find alone time enough to sneak them into a few inboxes. That was easy enough. It was honestly more difficult to meet the demands of the studio executives in charge of the radio show.
As Nadia dropped breadcrumbs for gullible or story-hungry reporters to leap onto, Westlan began airing news segments that were easily verified as false by anyone with some knowledge (mysterious mass poisonings from tainted water, exaggerated average wealth in SFS member states, pro-SFS demonstrations being held in various cities that never took place). It wasn't long before public faith in Westlan dropped precipitously, ripping WBC from UNSA's grip.
Westlan Broadcast Center was successfully Purged.

A very recent and dramatic upheaval in Harren University of the Sciences' curriculum has seen the situation there take a turn for the worse. Professors find themselves pushed to promote UNSA's agenda, whether it be through focusing on studies of animals native to UNSA lands, researching historical developments made by scientists native to nations that are now UNSA member states, or any other number of subtle meant of promoting UNSA subconsciously among the students. While an individual source for the change cannot be identified, a large number of the members of the board of education and key faculty members have found themselves with additional funds and assets. With no efforts in place to defend against the spread of UNSA ideology, the shift has taken root and could endanger the local integrity of the Federation.
Harren University of the Sciences has been Purged.
----
Over the winter season, investors of the North Point Observatory found themselves backing down to be replaced by newer, publicly UNSA-affiliated investors.
A notable, and somewhat controversial addition to the board of investors, was the disgraced Hugo Andersson. Having been left stripped of his job and reputation, Andersson seems to have fallen into UNSA propaganda and jumped at the opportunity to get a one-up on his naysayers. With Andersson in position as a vocal supporter of UNSA, and a board dominated by like-minded individuals, UNSA has regained their control over the North Point Observatory.
The North Point Observatory has been Secured by UNSA.
----
The situation on Iava is constantly evolving. With the immediate end of foreign hostilities, UNSA-backed rebels have taken the initiative and stated their intent to form a UNSA-friendly government on the island. They have control of the capital and it's port, as well as a civilian airfield. While they have the backing of a large number of the population (or their indifference), their position is still tenuous as UNSA supplies were delivered much slower than SFS arms, meaning they currently have more willing bodies than weapons to give them. SFS-aligned military forces maintain control of the military base, both GRADAR Stations, and the majority of the rural portion of Iava including the large eastern port.
During the Strategy Phase you will be deciding whether you
continue supporting the SFS military,
stop sending support, or
modify the current arrangement regarding
The Iavan Dispute.
But the Iavan situation isn't the only one unfolding in the world.
As World Tension has risen past the first post, we are now entering the Midgame. Old world nations will slowly come forward with problems that need solving. Providing these solutions can give the SFS additional allies (and more importantly, additional resources). UNSA may try to work in opposition of our goals in the Old World, so caution is advised.
During the Strategy Phase you can take Two Actions in the Old World and One Action in Harren City. This means you can only Purge/Secure one location per turn. If you are already supporting an Old World nation and simply continue support as it is then it does not take up an action. For the purposes of familiarizing with the rules
The Iavan Dispute counts as an Old World Action should you wish to modify or cease supporting them. Once issues are settled there is no need to use an action to stop providing support.
Two nations have reached out to Harren City using an abandoned network of radio relays set up by the massive invasion fleet as they sailed to the New World. They are, of all nations, Embral and Inithar, the peoples that led the aforementioned invasion fleet.
The Initharians are requesting aid in a heated civil conflict. The Initharian Archipelago was embroiled in bitter guerilla warfare after the military junta known as The Black Fellowship purged a large number of Initharian dissidents when there was a constitutional revision that dissolved a number of fellowships (somewhat akin to guilds taken to an extreme). The Black Fellowship has been putting down rebellions in a neverending island hopping campaign, not quite big enough to lock down rebel activity, but much larger than anything the rebels could muster for an open battle. Providing either side the means to achieve victory will grant
2 Refocyte - a Special Material, metal in it's base form, with the sphere of mechanical energy.
Embral is in the process of a purge of their own. A shadowy group known as the Sau-Cihare had been uncovered as schemers and plotters responsible for most of the ills that had befallen them throughout their entire history. Identification and removal of these puppeteers would go far to provide stability for Embral once more. The
Sau-Cihare claim they are just an intelligence service recycling the name of a secret agency many millennia ago, and are now being used as scapegoats of circumstance. They have always served the nation, but cannot do so unless public opinion changes, violent actions are taken, or some other creative solution is offered. Providing either side the means to achieve victory will grant
2 Wellmaterials - a Special Material, metal in it's base form, with the sphere of sound.
It is now the Design Phase. You have two actions. Due to the amount of equipment we've dropped into the field for UNSA to peek at, a
Secret Project Credit has been granted to maintain some future opsec.
You will also note that we have now shifted from four seasonal turns to two turns per year. This is largely to reflect the greater scale of global issues, and is also being done to help boost the rate that years pass so that tech doesn't sprint past a relative year you'd be familiar with (so we don't hit 80's tech with twenty turns in the 60's - it should make things easier to guesstimate difficulty for at a glance).
Land
"Temnaya Vintovka" Semiautomatic Rifle: A 110 cm, 4 kg dark wood rifle. 7.7mm rounds are fed via 15-round box magazine, and can also be loaded with rounds individually through an open bolt. It has an adjustable rear sight with 100 meter increments. Effective out to 800m. It also has a bayonet lug and comes with a bayonet. Padded for operator comfort. Costs 2 Ore and 2 Wood. (CHEAP)
No.3 Fragmentation Grenade: A fragmentation grenade with a lethal radius of 5m and debilitating within 15m, but can cause injury out much further if you're (un)lucky. Has a cap that can be pulled off for a 7 second fuse or twisted and pulled for impact. Shaped like an egg, but can have a stick screwed into the bottom if desired. Costs 2 Ore. (CHEAP)
-No.4 Smoke Grenade: A mildly unreliable canister grenade that can emit a cloud of dense white smoke. A quick fuse makes it useful for battlefield usage while a slow burn option can emit low amounts of smoke for hours. Failures with the striker strip mean the quick fuse doesn't always get triggered when desired, and the lack of a safety locking the cap in place means it may be twisted and activate the slow burn accidentally. Costs 2 Ore. (CHEAP)
"Nebolshoy" Pistol: A light, easy to conceal 8.8mm handgun. Sturdy, reliable, and easy to fix when it isn't. A suppressor helps facilitate covert actions. Costs 3 Ore. (CHEAP)
Pulemet No.4: An 8.5mm automatic machine gun utilizing 20- or 40-round box magazines. Rate of fire is sacrificed for an effective range of 1200m. Costs 4 Ore. (CHEAP)
-Pulemet No.6: An 8.5mm automatic machine gun utilizing 20- or 40-round box magazines or fed by belts. Rate of fire increases from 450 to 800RPM, but effective range drops down to 1000m. Very reliable but has a bit of a kick. Costs 6 Ore (EXPENSIVE)
Bol'shoy 108mm: A 108-mm artillery piece on a split-tail carriage and easily towable with a barrel that can be pulled back to reduce profile. Currently fires HE and smoke rounds out to 16km. Has a gun shield for some protection. Costs 6 Ore. (EXPENSIVE)
Salviosi Jacks: Steel beams welded together to provide obstacles for vehicles. Only usable during defense. Costs 2 Ore. CHEAP
GGPRO Vehicles: A fleet of the cheapest available vehicles in a wide range of condition (all bad) converted to use the GGPRO Engine. While they gain the typical benefits of using a GGPRO, they suffer in just about every imaginable way. Marked with a star stencil on each hood. Costs 3 Ore and 3 Gavrilium. (CHEAP)
"Oruz" Articulated Battle Rover: A 4-legged/wheeled armored vehicle suitable for traversing all sorts of terrains at speeds of up to 100km/h. Gyroscopic stabilizing helps the legs keep the body stable even across uneven ground. A 100mm cannon, a coaxial Pulemet No.6, and another Pulemet No.6 mounted on top of the turret give the Oruz the firepower it needs to engage infantry and vehicles. 50-200mm armor provides solid protection all around. Wide, durable tires can be replaced in case of damage or the needs of the environment change, and with little to no fuss. Has amenities that make longer operation time a breeze. Costs 6 Ore and 6 Gavrilium. (VERY EXPENSIVE)
-"Perevozka" Battle Traveling Rover: A gutted and minimally armored (save for the bottom) variant of the Oruz intended to transport up to twelve troops and their equipment or move supplies rapidly. Has firing ports for infantry inside. A top hatch and large rear door (with helpful ramp) are used to load and unload the cargo compartment. Has tow hooks and winches on the front and rear of the vehicle. Can reach speeds of 150km/h. Costs 3 Ore and 5 Gavrilium. (EXPENSIVE)
Sea
Okhotnik-Class Destroyer: A 115m long ship with 120mm belt armor and 100mm elsewhere. Travels at 35 knots. Armed with a triple torpedo mount and 3x2 120mm rapid firing guns capable of firing AP and APHE. Costs 5 Ore and 3 Oil. (EXPENSIVE)
Air
Sakonet Fighter: A three-bladed propeller aircraft capable of reaching speeds of 690km/h. Has a high rate of climb, but suffers when it comes to horizontal maneuverability. Armed with four 23mm cannons. Costs 3 Ore and 3 Oil. (CHEAP)
Lizing Li-4 Strategic Bomber: A large high-altitude bomber powered by four propellers for a maximum speed of 558 km/h. Can protect itself with 10 23mm cannons paired in four turrets and the tail barbette to provide almost total coverage. Can haul up to 6000kg of bombs or a nuclear device. Costs 4 Ore and 5 Oil. (EXPENSIVE)
-Lizing Li-GG Longhaul Cargo Plane: A long-range cargo transport powered by four GGPRO Engines. It can haul 15000kg of cargo out to 6500km at 575 km/h. Costs 3 Ore and 3 Gavrilium. (CHEAP) [CIVILIAN]
Other
Gasified Gavrilium Perpetual Revolution Output Engine: A multi-chamber engine that uses Gasified Gavrilium to power an electric motor. Depleted GG can be pumped out of the fuel tank. GGPROEs are lighter than ICEs of equivalent size but many times more efficient, and much easier to take care of. Power is modulated by controlling the fuel-air mix in the motor chamber. Relative to an ICE, will reduce Ore Cost and replace Oil Cost with a significantly discounted Gavrilium Cost.
-GGPRO High Pressure: A more thickly lined engine capable of utilizing much higher densities of Gasified Gavrilium than the GGPRO. Ore Cost will lean closer to ICE costs, and Gavrilium Costs will replace Oil at a less discounted rate, but provides much greater power than either an ICE or the GGPRO. High performance pumps and valves allow for much more rapid changes to power in the engine. Also has improved resilience!
GRADAR Stations: Relatively small facilities outfitted with Wave Alloy-augmented radar equipment in order to vastly improve detection and identification capabilities. Radar, But Better is sweeping the nation, and is always (CHEAP). (Expensed)
Objekt-17: An experimental ramjet engine capable of surpassing Mach 3. Uses Gavrilium-Cerium Rods powered by a GGPRO to heat the air being forced through the engine. No moving parts means relatively low maintenance. Will be somewhat costly in Gavrilium and Ore to apply to future designs. [CLASSIFIED]
-Objekt-18: An Objekt-17 modified with a liquid hydrogen injector. Can almost reach Mach 5 and 40km altitude before exploding or crashing down to earth. [CLASSIFIED]
GITGUD: Comprised of a (R)ead and (W)rite remote messaging device. Uses Vigenere Cypher for encryption (named for the book used to identify the 8-letter keyword). A battery with an hour-long life can be recharged by hand. Internal components are secure and well-protected, and can be swapped out quickly by any operator with a screwdriver. Fits nicely into a slightly overly large briefcase. Costs 3 Ore, 4 Wood, and 3 Gavrilium. (CHEAP)
Fabricated Papers: False identification papers that should allow relatively easy access to enemy territory across The Wall. Costs 2 Wood. (CHEAP)
Tsirk Neznakomtsa (Circus of the Stranger): A globally (at least the half that matters) well-received troupe of the best performers available in the Selicate Federation. All participants are masters in their craft and (secretly) loyal to the Communist cause. Greatly improves the chances of successful intelligence operations in North Harren City and provides a significant level of detail on publicly visible advancements made by UNSA. Always a (NATIONAL EFFORT).
Federal Intelligence Center - Counterfactual Narrative Division: Basementdwellers within Osgorod capable of crafting convincing lies and even more convincing evidence. Documents, images, video, and voice can all be spoofed to compile very targeted blackmail/bribes/threats/promises. Costs 6 Wood. (EXPENSIVE) (CHEAP) (Expensed)
Enriched Uranium Bomb: A fission bomb utilizing 64kg of Uranium-235 in order to achieve an explosive blast equivalent to 15 kilotons of TNT. Can be deployed via Strategic Bomber. Two Available [Availability based on available Fissile resources].
Special Resource
Gasified Gavrilium: A gaseous form of gavrilium that is slightly heavier than helium and equally flammable. Sustains and amplifies currents passing within it while not conducting currents itself.
-Depleted Gasified Gavrilium: A neutrally air-buoyant inert gas created as a result of Gasified Gavrilium being used to sustain a current.
Gavrilium-Cerium: An alloy with a melting point over 3200C once properly mixed. Produces high heat dependent on the current running through it. Resistant to warping.
Wave Alloy: An alloy of Gavrilium and Neodymium with a dash of Luciferin that appears foggy but solid with a wavy structure. It increases the frequency of outgoing waves and can intensify or "unscatter" waves that bounce through thinner layers of Wave Alloy.
