Material scientist for soap related syndromes

Is it possible to hook syndromes into soap in any way I've been digging and can't seem to find a solid way or workaround  using soap 😒

But cant you just attach a syn_contact syndrome to the soap material?

You can and it works perfectly outside of a hospital and I looked and looked and looked for a way around it but apparently it's hard coded that soap inside of a hospital does not act like soap outside of a hospital kind of sad

the only thing i can think of, is that the medical dwarf probably does get on contact with the soap. So maybe theres a way to apply the synrome via the medical dwarf. But I dont know how.

Ok I came full circle on this topic , how to make soap apply syndromes.

After much testing I believe I have found a work around

[SPEC_HEAT:5]
[BOILING_POINT:10001]
[MAT_FIXED_TEMP:10000]
Put these lines in the soap template along with your syndromes when dwarfs use the soap with water or take it somewhere warm the bar explodes giving them the syndrome

Also to debug the effect and make sure it's triggering add a timed  body transform.


It's not super elegant but it works 😁
